This week’s challenge:
Today marks the last March Anniversary challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs. Since we are celebrating the Anniversary of Our Daily Bread Designs, why not end our Anniversary challenges with your favorite stamp set from Our Daily Bread Designs!!! We can’t wait to see your ODBD creations!!
To make the challenge even more fun, we will be giving out a prize, a $15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for the prize must be submitted by Friday, April 6th at 8 a.m. EST. One random winner will be chosen and announced Saturday, April 7th. If you are not using ODBD stamps, please do not enter more than once. Additional entries without using ODBD stamps will not be commented on nor will they qualify for prizes.
While it is not required to use Our Daily Bread Designs images and sentiments on your creations, we would love to see them if you have them! As a way of recognizing those who do use Our Daily Bread Designs stamps, we will again be choosing 1 to 2 creations to spotlight for our Shining the Light Award. In order to qualify for this award, however, you must use Our Daily Bread stamps and have your submission added to Mr. Linky by Friday, April 6th at 8 a.m. EST. If you upload your creations to Splitcoast Stampers or any other online gallery, please use the keyword ODBDSLC102. When creating your posts on blogs please include a link to our challenge.
Here's my take on this week's challenge...
Before stamping my image (ODBD's Faith set), I used a sticky note to mask off the center panel. I then stamped the image on top and rotated my paper and stamped it again on the bottom and removed the mask. I used a matching marker to gently line the top and stamped the scripture. I then cut/embossed the focal panel adding a coordinating DP scalloped oval to give a little definition. I placed a bit of lace under the panel itself as well as wrapping a scrap around the sentiment panel taking care to secure each end on the back before adding it to the scalloped background. A die flourish, mulberry roses and some coordinating paper punches add a little pizzaz. Thanks for stopping in and be sure to check out what my other Sister Sticks have for ya... Blessings...

Exploring Cricut
If you are looking for the Our Daily Bread Designs Love of Easter Sets blog hop click HERE.
Welcome to another daily project for Exploring Cricut. Don't you just love when something unexpected happens? Well, maybe not when unannounced visitors show up and you are stuffing things under the couch... In this case I stopped at a Hobby Lobby recently and found this fun feather accessory in the ribbon aisle. The original intention for this product was a hair bow. But I knew I wanted to make a peacock and not just any peacock... a CRICUT peacock! A dear friend of mine has a birthday in a few weeks and I knew she would love the humor of this sentiment...
Here he is...
Cuts
Create A Critter - Body, Chest, Beak - pg. 70 - 5.5 inches (royal & white)
Heritage - Frame - pg. 25 - 1 inch (white)
Paper - Colorbok, Bazzill, Colorbok Pattern Pack - Rosewood
Stamp - Unknown
Embossing Powder - Stampendous
Watermark Ink - Versamark
Peacock Trim - The Ribbon Boutique
Thanks so much for stopping in! Have a wonderful week!

I decided to work with the Daffodil Tag Set pictured below...
And my project this week...
I used a simple ecru card stock base. I then cut a matching doily die with the leftover card stock. I added a soft polka dotted DP panel at the bottom and edged it with a soft daffodil seam binding my dear friend Sabrina sent me along with soft cream flower trim. A wooden button and hemp string tied through hide the seams. I split my doily in two adhering one half to the top panel and one below. I stamped two Daffodil Tag Set images on Copic compatible card stock and colored both. After stamping a sentiment I chose Spellbinders' Small Labels to emboss and cut my tag. I then cut out one of the daffodil images and used dimensional foam to adhere to the original image. I the tag on my card and added Stardust Stickles to each daffofil for interest. A few random pearls scattered on the doily top it off! I just love yellow! Don't you??
Now next on the hop is Rosemary. She has a wonderful project to share! Thanks so much for hopping along with us! Blessings!
Supplies
Stamps - ODBD Daffodil Tag Set
Ink - Versafine Onyx Black, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics
Paper - Bazzill, Neenah, Echo Park's A Boy's Life
Dies - Cheery Lynn Designs French Pastry; Spellbinders Small Labels
Seam Binding, Flower Trim, Stickles - Stardust, Pearls - Recollections, Hemp Twine, Wood Button

Houndstooth and Mother's Day?
Yes, tis true! I mixed a distinctly masculine print paper with a decidedly girly pattern and well... let's just say it is definitely different from my normal cards! Sometimes you have to just mix it up, right? Since it is my birthday... lol... I can do that right??? Seriously, it gave me a wonderful opportunity to use one of the new Spellbinder dies. Gotta love that!
I started out with a sketch and somehow... Let's just say it went a little haywire! lol... So here are all the details...
Paper - Paper Studio, Bazzill, Basic Grey Kissing Booth
Stamps - Our Daily Bread Designs - Mother's Day
Ink - Versafine Black Onyx
Dies - Sizzix - Elegant Flourishes, Spellbinders - Aster Flower Topper & Foliage
Accessories - Corduroy Brad - The Paper Studio
Thanks for stopping by! Stop back Thursday to see what the ODBD Alumi team will be up to! They have a wonderful hop planned! Until next time... Blessings!

MOJO223 ~ The Road Less Traveled
Thanks for stopping in! If you are looking for my ODBD Shining the Light post click HERE...
This month has been a special anniversary month for Our Daily Bread Designs. During the anniversary release, the designers were given the opportunity to submit a quote, sentiment or scripture to be created into a stamp. My dear challenge teammate Rosemary Dennis selected a wonderful quote by Robert Frost. I thought it would lend itself to the most recent Mojo Monday sketch shown here.
And here is my interpretation using Rosemary's favorite quote...
I combined card stock (black, ecru and off white) with DP by My Mind's Eye. I stamped the sentiment and used a Spellbinder die to emboss and cut it. A few sprigs of greenery created with Cheery Lynn & Spellbinder dies add some light. The flower? A lovely gift from one of the other ODBD designers, Sabrina. Thanks again! Enjoy! Stop back in this week as I have a few Cricut posts to share plus more fun ODBD projects! Blessings...
Supplies
Stamps - ODBD - Quote Collection 1
Ink - Versafine - Onyx Black
Paper - Bazzill, Colorbok, MME Lost & Found - Breeze, MME Lost & Found - Union Square
Dies - Cheery Lynn Designs - Fanciful Flourish; Spellbinders Standard Ovals Large, Spellbinders - Foliage

ODBDSLC101 ~ Silk or Faux Silk
Happy Saturday All!! So glad you stopped by! I hope you are all having a great weekend!! Today I am popping in to share this week's Our Daily Bread Designs Shining the Light Challenge!!
This week’s challenge:
This month marks the third March Anniversary challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs. One of the traditional gifts for a fourth anniversary is silk. This week’s challenge is to use silk or faux silk on your creation while using Our Daily Bread Designs stamps. Angie created a fabulous tutorial on this wonderful technique you can find HERE. There is a tutorial on SC as well. If you would rather not do this technique you can use silk or silk ribbon. But check out the tutorial first. It is not only easy but fun! I promise!
To make the challenge even more fun, we will be giving out a prize, a $15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for the prize must be submitted by Friday, March 30th at 8 a.m. EST. One random winner will be chosen and announced Saturday, March 31st.
If you upload your creations to Splitcoast Stampers or any other online gallery, please use the keyword ODBDSLC101. When creating your posts on blogs please include a link to our challenge.
Here's my take on this week's challenge...
For this card I chose ODBD's Scripture Collection 9. I began by paper punching the bottom of my white card stock base. I then prepared a faux silk panel using Angie's tutorial. The tissue I selected has a pale pink rose pattern. Once I cut the main panel out I cut a slightly larger coordinating pink mat to frame it. I prepared another smaller faux silk panel and then used a Spellbinder scalloped die to go between my scripture panel and the pink Spellbinders Floral Oval Panel. The scripture is from the Anniversary release, Scripture Collection 9. I added a few branches and a lovely dove from another Spellbinder set, Mix'd Media Elements. I added in a pink mulberry rose and a few paper punched rose leaves. A tiny jet bead gives Mrs. Dove an eye and a touch of a Copic marker adds a beak. A few pearls scattered around the edges add some bling! For more inspiration for this challenge, please visit my Sister Sticks:

A Good Man - Faux Leather
Happy Thursday! The weekend is almost here! I wanted to share a card I created last week using ODBD's Father's Day set. I know Father's Day won't be here until June but when inspiration strikes... ya just gotta go with it!
Here's the final product...
The base is kraft card stock with a heavily distressed green matting. I embossed the brown card stock using a Sizzix folder. After dry embossing, I inked up my brayer with Versamark Watermark Ink and rolled it over the embossed paper. Once the raised pattern was inked, I sprinkled it all with clear embossing powder, shaking off all excess. I then used a heat gun to emboss those areas. I stamped the image with Memento Rich Cocoa on kraft paper and embossed with a Spellbinder die, inking all edges. A Cheery Lynn Designs die gives the illusion of foliage. I then cut three flower cuts from Chricut's Flower Shoppe cart. Each cut had four petals until I removed one and glued it together. Now I have flowers that look like trillium one of my new favorite wildflowers! A few bits of Flowersoft finish off the centers! Thanks for visiting and don't forget to stop back by Saturday to see what next week's Our Daily Bread Designs Shining the Light Challenge will be! It will be fun!
Blessings...

STV12MON9 ~ Goldenrod
Welcome and thanks for stopping in! Are you ever guilty of letting a colored image languish on your desk? I mean well! I go into a coloring frenzy and put projects aside to work on "later." But unfortunately, later never comes! So today I have decided to stop the insanity! I pulled out an image from Gina K. Designs' Stately Flowers 2 and went to work!
I purchased this set since it includes the state weed **ahem, flower*** of Kentucky. Nothing makes this native Kentucky girl as happy as seeing a field of goldenrod **achoo** blooming in **achoo** August. WELL, maybe my allergies are not so happy! Anywho... Thought you might enjoy the project...
This project was super easy and fun to do! I was able to snap up some scraps from my stash, a pearl flourish and lace to pull it together. Thanks for visiting and until next time... Blessings...
Supplies
Stamps - Gina K. Designs - Stately Flowers 2

Ink - Memento - Tuxedo Black; Copics
Dies - Spellbinders - Standard Ovals Large, Scalloped Ovals Large

The Glory of God - Part 2
Thanks for stopping in! I must admit I love the new 4th Anniversary Release at ODBD! And I had to pop in and share another card I created using my favorite scripture selection, Psalm 19:1 from ODBD's new release, Scripture Collection 9...
If you haven't had a chance to check out Angie's faux silk technique click HERE. It is too fun! I found the green tissue paper in my stash of goodies. I love this technique so much, I found myself buying more tissue paper at our local dollar store. I think the little checkout fella was worried about me buying $15 dollars worth of tissue paper... lol...
I used the faux silk for two separate mat layers and then framed my scripture panel with a Spellbinders Fleur de Lis and Oval die. I also used the lovely clover image from Simple Things lightly colored with Copics. A few pearls and a lovely spring card was ready to mail! Thanks for stopping in and until next time... Blessings...
Supplies
Stamps - Scripture Collection 9; Simple Things
Paper - Colorbok, Green Tissue Paper
Dies - Our Daily Bread Designs - Clover Die; Spellbinders - Classic Ovals Small, Fleur De Lis Rectangles
Accessories - Pearls - Recollections, Zyron Sticker Maker, Stickles - Diamond (bee's wings)

The Glory of God
Thanks so much for stopping in today! Be sure to grab a cuppa java and stay awhile!
This month Our Daily Bread Designs celebrates a big anniversary, 4 years in business! Kelley and crew have been such a blessing to me! I count myself very fortunate to be able to share God's word with so many people via ODBD's stamps on my projects. If you missed the fun, this past week ODBD had a huge anniversary release. And as in years past the design team was given the opportunity to submit not only favorite scripture but quotes and sentiments to be made into stamps! For my scripture I selected Psalm 19:1...
This is a clean and simple project for me. The base is white card stock with a black matting. I dusted a rainbow of chalks on with my finger and then added a spray sealant to secure. The sentiment (stamped with Versafine Onyx Black) was placed over the chalk. Make sure the sealant is completely dry or your image will bleed! I then used a corner rounder on alternate corners and trimmed the panel down to be slightly smaller than the black mat. Very simple, very clean and a powerful testimony to the one who spoke the world into existence... Blessings...

In the coming days I will showcase a few more creations using the scripture I submitted as well as other design team selections! I will even have a clean and simple card coming this week! (I can't believe it myself... lol)...
Today I am playing along in a few challenges. I am also using some new supplies in my stash! I LOVE to do that! So here is today's sketch from Card Patterns...
And my interpretation using some new items I picked up recently from my Close to My Heart contact and good friend Emily.
Not sure how I feel about the coloring on little lambie but he was as close to a Khatahdin as I could get! The Stampin' Sisters in Christ ladies have issued a new challenge as well. They asked participants to do something related to spring. I thought the lamb image as well as Easter sentiment were perfect! Thanks again and until next time... blessings...
Supplies
Stamps - Close to My Heart - He is Risen
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Ranger Distress Ink Antique Linen, Copics, CTMH Outdoor Denim (sentiment)

Our Daily Bread Designs 4th Anniversary Release Blog Hop
Welcome to the Our Daily Bread designs 4th Anniversary Special Design Team Edition Release Blog Hop!
If you got here from Suzanne's Blog, you are in the right place! If not, you might want to start at the ODBD Blog so you are sure not to miss anyone! If any links are lost along the way, you can always get the entire list of links from the ODBD Blog as well!
The bread sticks are so excited to be celebrating this special milestone in the life of ODBD! It is such a blessing to work for a company that brings glory to God in every stamp set created, and offers us the tools we need to do the same with every card we create! If you are a long term follower of ODBD, then you know that each year, the Design Team submits a favorite Scripture for the special anniversary sets, and those suggestions have been the sum total of all the "Scripture Collection" stamp sets in the store. This year, the special sets include our favorite Scriptures, but also quotes and sentiments that we feel would be great on cards or projects. I think you will find some of the most encouraging and uplifting words available in stamps in these special anniversary sets!
So now, here are the Details of the Anniversary Hop:
I selected one of my favorite scriptures from the Book of Psalms. This particular scripture reminds me of the power and majesty of our Creator. When things are difficult, we only have to look at the majesty of His handiwork to know he is with us. What a powerful reminder of his love for us! For this card, I embossed the DP before distressing the 4 edges and adhering to card stock. This layer was then popped up with dimensional foam to frame my verse. I then used coordinating card stock and cut a frame with a oval and scalloped oval die. When finished I added a layer of white card stock which I edged on the bottom with a lacey paper punch. The entire framed scripture Scripture Collection 9 was then adhered to a light cream card stock base. Final touches include a mulberry rose, burlap leaves and some lovely pearl bridal sprays I found and cut down to fit this project. I also added a white butterfly die with pearl accents!
Now I will send you to the next stop on the hop, Sandee. Thanks for stopping in!
Recipe
Stamps - Scripture Collection 9; Paper - Colorbok, Bazzill, Die Cuts With a View, Kaisercraft - Sweet Nothings Collection - Silver Lining; Ink - Close To My Heart - Cranberry; Embossing Folder - Sizzix - Sugar; Dies - Spellbinders, Cheery Lynn Designs; Rose - Recollections; Burlap Leaves - Prima; Pearls - Recollections; Bridal Spray; Paper Punch

ODBD Love of Backgrounds ~ Birch & Honeycomb
Welcome to Our Daily Bread Design's Alumni Team's bi-monthly For the Love of Blog Hop. This is a big week at ODBD! Kelley and crew are celebrating their four year anniversary! We're having a great big party! To celebrate, the Alumni team along with some other designers are incorporating some items associated with 4th anniversaries.....colors of topaz or aqua, flowers, fruit, linen, silk, etc., along with ODBD Background Stamps into our projects.
Check out each link and leave a comment. If you get lost along the way, go to the ODBD Blog for the full link list. One of the posts is a hot spot and a name will be drawn from that list of comments to win a $15 ODBD store gift certificate. So, all you have to do is hop along and see all the creations and leave a little love! You have until March 28th at 6 pm. The winner will be announced March 29th!
If you arrived here from Angie's blog you are in the right spot! If not, head over to the ODBD blog for a full link list.
My creation features Birch Background
and the Honeycomb Background shown here.
And now for my card...
I stamped the Birch Background stamp twice, selecting some of the birch trees to cut out individually and then placing them with dimensional foam on the base image. Notice how the branches stick out wildly? I thought it added to the "rustic" feel. I then stamped my sentiment from On Eagles' Wings and placed a sticky note over it to mask it before stamping with the Honeycomb Background. I then removed the mask and trimmed it down to the desired size. A simple jute bow finishes it off. Thanks for stopping in. Don't forget to pop back in again Saturday for the big reveal! Kelley has come up with some FABULOUS 4th Anniversary sets! I will send you on your way...

DS42 & CLD19 ~ Faithful
Happy Wednesday!
Today's project is something I put together with the following sketch in mind...
I also took the opportunity to incorporate some flourishes in for the new Cheery Lynn Designs challenge...
For this project I selected papers by Basic Grey (Kissing Booth) and Fancy Pants Designs (Winterland). Even though some of the papers have tiny snowflakes on them, I felt the colors lent themselves well to a spring challenge! The doily is a Wilton doily purchased from a local discount store. I distressed all of the edges and even crumpled up the bottom floral layer before adhering to a card stock base. A bit of white lace peeks out from behind the sentiment panel. The red DP was hand cut and placed with dimensional foam. I stamped the sentiment (ODBD's The Word of God) with Versafine Onyx Black Ink. Both the flourish and rose are Cheery Lynn dies. A bit of Diamond Stickles top off the rose. Kinda fun! Roses AND snowflakes... lol... Have a wonderful day!
Supplies
Stamps - Our Daily Bread Designs - The Word of God
Ink - Versafine - Onyx Black
Papers - Bazzill; Fancy Pants Designs - Winterland; Basic Grey - Kissing Booth
Dies - Spellbinders - Standard Circles Large; Cheery Lynn Designs - Fanciful Flourish, Miniature Rose, Medium Rose, Large Rose
Challenges
Cheery Lynn Designs - CLD19 - Flourishes
Deconstructed Sketches - DS42

ODBD Designers Flower Hunt Game
We are celebrating the 4th Anniversary of Our Daily Bread designs! All this week we have special events going on over on the ODBD Blog, so be sure to check them out! Today we have something that we hope will be pure fun for all! One Dozen of the Bread Sticks have baked up a special game for you! We decided to shower ODBD with a bouquet of flowers, since flowers are one of the traditional gifts for a 4th anniversary. You will be collecting these flowers along the way, and creating a beautiful bouquet for Kelley and all of Our Daily Bread designs!
We each have created a special card or project using at least one of our own personal ALL TIME FAVORITE ODBD sets. SIX of us will also have a special blog button with a special flower on it! Look for it in the designer's side bars of their blogs.
To play the game:
- Visit each designer listed below
- Keep a list of each designer who has a special flower blog button. Write down the designer's name and the name of the flower they have.
- When you have visited all 12, left comments and found the 6 flowers, send an email to Grace at gnywening@yahoo.com. Simply name the 6 designers who had the flowers and the flower they had.
- Winners will be chosen randomly from all who email Grace with their list by 9:00pm EST Mar. 15th!
Now on to my project details:
For my project today, I used........
Stamps - ODBD - Blessed Christmas
Paper - Echo Park - Country Drive, Colorbok, Bazzill, Neenah Solar Crest
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic - R20, R21, YG06, YG17, YG67
Stickles - Diamond
Flower Soft - Autumn mix (yellow only)
Pearls - Recollections
Lace - Simplicity
Ribbon - Offray
Paper Punch
Grace asked us to list our FOUR ALL TIME FAVORITE ODBD sets, and to use at least one on our project today. How can I possibly just choose 4?
Here are my four favorites:
Blessed Christmas - I love Christmas time! And this set is one I pull out every year. It doesn't matter if you color it in traditional reds or non traditional pinks like I did today. This image is elegant no matter what!
On Eagles' Wings - This set is the very first ODBD set I purchased! It started my love of anything ODBD. The scripture is one of my husband's favorites. And did I mention he loves eagles?
Joy to the World Hymn - This is one of my favorite songs to sing at Christmas! I love how this stamps lets me incorporate music into any project!
You Will Find Refuge - My husband is not the only one in the family who loves birds! My favorite is the happy little chickadee. This image is another one I keep returning to.
I can't believe I had to pick four! They are all my favs!
(Now, I'll send you on your way. Here are the dozen bread sticks in the bread basket today:

Exploring Cricut Challenge #11 ~ Food Frenzy
Welcome to another fun challenge at Exploring Cricut. Thanks for stopping by to check out my project!
Diane's challenge this week..
Food Frenzy... Create a card, layout, or papercraft using any cricut cut of food. (This could include recipes, table decor or anything with food.) Let your imagination go wild!
My grandkids have been busy making mixes to give to family and friends. Somehow they layer stuff like flour, oats and nuts in a jar and when mixed with other ingredients and baked you have a wonderful treat. They gave me an assignment. They are making some sort of bread mix that requires apple butter and they wanted me to make a cute tag they could wrap around the jar. So I pulled out my Cricut and went to work. The base is a piece of 3 x 12 inch kraft card stock with a 2.5 x 12 inch strip of white layered on. I added an additional 3 x 3 kraft tab in the back for this jar so it would fasten. The key to this. You MUST use Scor Tape. It is the only thing I found that will really hold the wrap on! The cuts are all from Preserves.
Cuts
Apple - (2 inches) - Preserves - pg 30 - dark green; red; Layer - brown; Layer - white; Layer - light green
Butter - (1 inch) - Preserves - pg 30 - Word - red
Supplies
Card Stock - Bazzill, Colorbok - white, red, dark green, light green, brown
Cricut Cart - Preserves
Scor Tape
And here's the Apple Butter Bar Mix Directions...
1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups quick oats
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup pecans (walnuts chopped)
1. Mix flour, baking soda, and salt together.
2. Cooking Instructions: Layer ingredients in a jar, in order given.
3. Press each layer down before adding next.
Instructions for Apple-Butter Bars Mix:
Spoon out nuts; set aside.
Empty bar mix into a large bowl.
Add 1 cup melted butter or margarine; mix well.
Press half of batter into a 13 x 9 x 2-inch greased pan.
Mix 1 1/2 cups apple butter with nuts.
Spread over batter in pan.
Add remaining mixture.
Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 50-60 minutes or until browned.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Blessings...

ODBDSLC100 ~ Every Word
Happy Saturday All!! I hope you are all having a great weekend!! Today I am popping in to share this week's Our Daily Bread Designs Shining the Light challenge!!
This week’s challenge:
After all this is the month of March. So the challenge team wants to see Aqua or Topaz with your favorite scripture or quote!
To make the challenge even more fun, we will be giving out a prize, a $15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for the prize must be submitted by Friday, March 23rd at 8 a.m. EST. (Yes, this is a two week challenge!) One random winner will be chosen and announced Saturday, March 24th. If you are not using ODBD stamps, please do not enter more than once. Additional entries without using ODBD stamps will not be commented on or will they qualify for prizes.
While it is not required to use Our Daily Bread Designs images and sentiments on your creations, we would love to see them if you have them. As a way of recognizing those who do use Our Daily Bread Designs stamps, we will again be choosing 1 to 2 creations to spotlight for our Shining the Light Award. In order to qualify for this award, however, you must use Our Daily Bread stamps and have your submission added to Mr. Linky by Friday, March 23rd at 8 a.m. EST. If you upload your creations to Splitcoast Stampers or any other online gallery, please use the keyword ODBDSLC100. When creating your posts on blogs please include a link to our challenge.
Here's my take on this week's challenge...
For this card I chose ODBD's The Living Bread. I selected a couple of coordinating aqua print designer papers. The white edging is a Spellbinder's Classic Scalloped Petite Borders. I then used a thin satin ribbon and wove it through the holes to mimic lacing. The scripture panel (stamped in an ink appropriately named Lagoon,) is surrounded by mulberry flowers and greenery.

MOJO231, TSTR104 & CLD18 ~ The Storm
Happy Thursday! I hope you and yours are doing well! Thought I would pop in to share a card I put together for this week's Mojo Monday sketch. I also took the opportunity to play along at The Shabby Tea Room.
Here's the Mojo sketch...
And here's The Shabby Tea Room inspiration photo, Colorful Confections...
And here's my interpretation...
I created the base with some lovely bubblegum colored card stock and added a distressed layer of white Colorbok paper. I then added a layer of embossed Lily Bee Designs designer paper. The doily is a die cut by Cheery Lynn Designs. I added a few pearls for added pizzazz. The stamp is from Our Daily Bread Designs set, The Sea. I stamped it on white card stock and cut it using ODBD's Tag die. The mossy green flourish is also a Cheery Lynn Designs die that I cut and placed behind a fun Prima rose. It's so sweet, it makes my teeth hurt! lol... Thanks so much for stopping in and until next time...
Blessings...
Supplies
Paper - Bazzill, Colorbok, Lily Bee Designs - Head Over Heels Paper Pad
Stamps - Our Daily Bread Designs - The Sea
Ink - Versafine - Onyx Black
Dies - Our Daily Bread Designs - Tag; Cheery Lynn Designs - French Pastry, Fanciful Flourish
Embossing Folder - Stampin' Up - Sizzix - Square Lattice

A CAS Card & Some Fun News!!
Happy Monday! I have so many fun things to share with you!
Everyone wants to know if we have puppies. Yes, Dakota delivered her last puppy safely on Sunday morning. Momma and pups are doing fine!
I have to share a cute story. At 9AM that morning Dakota had blessed us with 10 little bundles of fur. She had not delivered a pup in several hours. John separates the pups into two “batches” to make it easier for Momma to nurse, taking care to rotate them out every 2 hours. This makes Momma frantic, so John placed the box of puppies in the other room of our basement. Dakota was contentedly nursing Batch number 2.
Now by this time, John had been up all night and decided he needed a little snack to make it through. He slipped upstairs, wolfed down a sandwich and a cup of coffee before returning to check on the new Mom. Naturally, he counts heads to make sure everyone is safe and NOT under Momma. (Since Saints are such a large breed, they can accidentally crush a puppy.)
One little Saint, two little Saints, three little Saints, four little Saints, five little Saints, SIX little Saints??? So John counts again... One, two, three, four, five, SIX!!!! By this time my hubby REALLY thinks he needs some sleep! So he runs to the back room to check and sure enough there are 5 puppies in there! Thankfully Dakota has not learned how to turn doorknobs, steal her puppy back AND close the door behind her! So Mom had an extra surprise for us!
So as you can see it has been an exciting weekend here! But that’s not all! I have more exciting news I can share. I am deeply honored to be guest designing at The Shabby Tea Room this April. Thanks to Debbie for extending the invitation! They always have the most amazing inspiration photos! Every Monday you will find a new challenge. Please be sure to stop in and say hello!
So on to today’s card….
I am trying CAS (clean and simple). With spring coming and naturally spring cleaning… I find myself thinking about a more simple approach on some of my cards. Never fear! I’m just mixing it up a bit! Thanks so much for visiting and until next time…
Blessings…

MOJO230, TSTR103 ~ Your Light
Thank you so much for popping in to say hello! First of all my prayers go out to all those who suffered damages and in some cases even lost loved ones during Friday's tornado outbreaks. My family and I spent some tense moments in our basement that evening as multiple tornadoes were spotted in the area. It was the most terrifying experience I have ever gone through. The noise, the dark, the quiet was nothing short of amazing!
During this time we were awaiting the birth of puppies. Our basement is made up of two areas, a bonus/family room and a garage which we have converted into kennels for our brood. Dakota was so pitiful that night. I went out to check on her and she was literally shaking. Keep in mind that this big ball of fur came home with us at a tender 6 weeks of age. The first time we took her out in the yard to conduct her business, she promptly ran over to the fence and barked ferociously at the neighbor's massive bull! She has absolutely no fear. But things were very different Friday night. (Who says animals can't sense danger?) So I promptly climbed into her birthing pen and plopped on the floor. Dakota placed her head in my lap and I petted and comforted her as much as she did me. When the horrible sounds died off, my step son advised we could return upstairs and we were so thankful to see zero damage! Other area counties were not so fortunate... West Liberty where I took classes while in college was nearly destroyed... areas of Kenton County where I have friends and former co-workers was hard hit as well...
What struck me as I cradled Dakota's head Friday night? She put her trust in me to make everything alright. She settled down and drifted off to sleep even as the wind, rain and hail roared around us. And so it is with our Savior, if we truly put our trust in him and recognize the Light... we can have peace... Blessings...
Last week's Mojo Monday sketch...
And the inspiration photo from The Shabby Tea Room...
And finally my interpretation...
I created the base for this card using a Cricut cartridge cut at 4.25 inches. I then layered Cheery Lynn Design's Italian Flourish Die in white. The designer paper is called Blue Lace Column and was cut with a Spellbinder die and split in half. The Shabby Tea Room challenge asked participants to use a distressed element. For this project I selected a torn box lid which I cut with Spellbinders' Standard Circle Large dies and inked with distress ink. The sentiment is from the recent Our Daily Bread Designs release, The Light of Life.

ODBDSLC99 - Stamped Flowers
Happy Saturday All!! I hope you are all having a great weekend!! Today I am popping in to share this week's Our Daily Bread Designs Shining the Light challenge!!
This week’s challenge:
Since this month marks the FOURTH Anniversary of Our Daily Bread Designs, all our challenges will focus on the Anniversary!!! Since one of the traditional gifts for the fourth anniversary is flowers. We would like to see flowers on your creations. Not just flower embellishments, but flower stamps! You must use Our Daily Bread Stamps to link your creation.
To make the challenge even more fun, we will be giving out a prize, a $15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for the prize must be submitted by Friday, March 9th at 8 a.m. EST. One random winner will be chosen and announced next Saturday.
Linky by Friday, March 9th at 8 a.m. EST. If you upload your creations to Splitcoast Stampers or any other online gallery, please use the keyword ODBDSLC99. When creating your posts on blogs please include a link to our challenge.
Here's my take on this week's challenge...
I pulled out one of the very first sets I ever purchased from ODBD, The Lord Has Risen. I used Copics on this one, V12, V15, V17, for the violets and G43, G46 for the leaves. Touches of Y11 and Y17 highlight the centers. I also used C1 to lightly shade the background. I cut and embossed the image with a Spellbinder die before adding a coordinating DP scalloped die underneath and a lacy doily die. Some ruffled ribbon adds interest!

For You
Good morning! Are you ready for spring yet? I sure am! And I find my creative thoughts turning to pinks, cabbage roses and lacy white doilies... Not a finer combo anywhere!!!
Today's card is definitely a shabby design. I even used some roughed up card board for matting! But oh, how fun that was!
And here it is...
The base is white card stock with a mat layer of plain card board that I tugged at one corner until I had two pieces. I then added some DP (K & Company) strips on top that had been distressed and inked. A strip of floral DP by Webster's Pages is nestled under a Wilton doily. The foliage is from a Cheery Lynn Designs die and is nestled under a bargain bin Jolee's flower find. Another CLD butterfly die is nestled at the bottom right above my sentiment. The sentiment (Verve's Great Friend set) was stamped in black. Very shabby, very fun and I was able to use some cool stamps I won recently at a Mojo Monday sketch challenge! Thanks for visiting and until next time...
Blessings....
