A Snowy Thank You

Kentucky has had it's fair share of cold and snowy weather in the last week. Hopefully, it will warm up soon... if you call 46 degrees warm! (Chuckle) I created this card as a special thank you. My hubby underwent a heart cath last week. Thankfully the doctor found nothing. The procedure required him to remain in the hospital until 7PM that evening. By that time we were under a winter weather advisory and our roads were nasty! Both vehicles were at the hospital and I was fearful to take him home and risk running off the road. Obviously he was not in any shape to trek home! I was stressing to say the least. And then God answered my prayers! The night before a wonderful couple from our church asked me if I was afraid of driving in bad weather. I told them no as it had never been an issue before. Then they told me "if anything happens please call us." They have a 4 wheel drive vehicle! Ron immediately answered and we made arrangements to meet! What wonderful people. The trip was treacherous in their vehicle and I shudder to think what could have happened if I had stubbornly thought I could do it on my own... A lesson I'm sure God needed to remind me of. I created this card to thank them for their kindness. Have a blessed day!

Bee Mine... a Valentine Card

The last few days have found me pouring over magazines. We have had a little snow here so there is very little else I can do.. lol... My hubby is home recovering from a heart cath and I am holding down the fort. In my browsing I came across a fun layout in BH&G Scrapbook Magazine. The layout was designed to look like a honeycomb. I liked the look of it and decided to modify it to make a nice Valentine's card. Enjoy and have a wonderful day!

The perfect gift...

Our creator gives us wonderful gifts each and every day. When I woke up this morning I was given another day of life. I looked out my window and saw the most amazing sunrise! Another wonderful gift... Yesterday morning I awoke to traces of snow on my deck. It was just a dusting but what a wonderful thing to see. By now you must think I am totally off my rocker waxing eloquent about snowflakes. Think about this. Each and every snowflake is individual. No two are alike. They are created with special characteristics that make them different from other snowflakes. Does this sound familiar? What else was made by the creator with such loving and individual care? Hope you and yours have a blessed Sabbath!

Peace on Earth

A new year brings new year resolutions. In the grand scheme of things we plan to lose weight, change careers, build relationships and so much more. In the overall plan we hope to make our country and world a better place for the next generation. As the new year dawns it is my sincere wish that we truly find peace on earth. It would be wonderful to see this between nations but also between our own neighbors. I wish all of my friends a beautiful and prosperous 2010. May all your dreams come true this year!
