Welcome to Our Daily Bread Design's Alumni Team's bi-monthly For the Love of Blog Hop. This is a big week at ODBD! Kelley and crew are celebrating their four year anniversary! We're having a great big party! My creation features Birch Background
and the Honeycomb Background shown here.
And now for my card...
I stamped the Birch Background stamp twice, selecting some of the birch trees to cut out individually and then placing them with dimensional foam on the base image. Notice how the branches stick out wildly? I thought it added to the "rustic" feel. I then stamped my sentiment from On Eagles' Wings and placed a sticky note over it to mask it before stamping with the Honeycomb Background. I then removed the mask and trimmed it down to the desired size. A simple jute bow finishes it off. Thanks for stopping in. Don't forget to pop back in again Saturday for the big reveal! I would never thought of combining those two stamps, but they're very effective together. I love the way you pop dotted some trees, and masking the background to add your sentiment looks great. What great ideas. Thanks for sharing.

A WOW card with a cool technique to pop out the tree branches and texturize the front saying.
Very clever use of two background stamps, really like the idea of masking a sentiment and stamping a background over, thanks for the inspiration.

Oh Lori! I just love this mainly black and white card! The birch background hasn't looked so pretty before. It really makes a difference with the limbs popping off the page. And, the honeycomb bg looks fabulous around the Verse.
