WAW121 ~ Micah 7:7 ~ I Will Wait ~

Welcome!  It's time for another
inspirational challenge at Word Art Wednesday.

Check out the Word Art Wednesday site for all of the details including this week's digital scripture image, how to link your creation AND info on our fabulous prizes!

A special thank you to Flying Unicorn, Classy Cards-n-Such AND Daydream Designs
who provided our prizes this time!

This week we find our scripture in the Old Testament, specifically the book of Micah...

I used scraps for this project, bits and pieces scattered all over my craft table...  LITERALLY!  I created a pink 5.5 x 4.25 inch base with a layer of white card stock and pastel plaid DP.  The 1 inch wide banner scraps are from Recollections and The Paper Studio.  I added a Prima blossom with a few Martha Stewart punched  bits of greenery for interest.  A bit of lace trims the edges (top and bottom) of the sentiment panel.  I am SO glad spring is almost here!

Thanks for stopping in!

Until next time,

blessings...

FS368 ~ Love ~

Yes, I realize Valentine's Day is over!  But shouldn't we celebrate romance and LOVE ALL year long?  Isn't it important to make that special someone feel just that...  SPECIAL...  ALL the time?  So today, I'm sharing a card that will be a JUST BECAUSE I ADORE you card!  I want hubs to know I appreciate him each and every day!  This week, I haven't been the easiest to live with.  (A nasty respiratory issue invaded my house and took me captive...)  So here's to all those ordinary days that are truly extraordinary because I share it with hubs!

The card inspired by this week's
SCS Featured Stamper, Dawn...

GOD'S LOVE

I used a few more layers on this design than the original inspiration card.  I inked the hearts up with Memento Rhubarb Stalk and cut them out using the Ornate Hearts Die before adding with dimensional foam.  I lightly colored the word LOVE (stamped with Memento Black Tuxedo) with Copics R81 (aptly named Rose Pink.)  I sure hope he likes it!

Thanks as always for stopping by!  Until next time...  blessings...

Welcome to North Coast Creations February 22nd Release!

Good morning and welcome to release day at North Coast Creations!  I am SO excited to bring you more images that just scream SPRING!  I know you will be just as excited to work with these beauties as I am!

And don't forget...release day means you can win!  How, you ask?  Well,  two winners will be randomly chosen from the comments left on the Designers' Blogs to receive a $10 gift certificate good towards the purchase of NCC stamps.

Don't wait because you only have until February 24, 2014 at 10:00PM EST to leave a comment on each of the designers' blog posts.  (The links are listed later on in today's post.)  The two random winners will be announced on the NCC Blog on February 25, 2014, so be sure to check back there to see if you have won!

And here are my two projects featuring a few new additions to the Floral Sentiments Collection...

I just love lilacs!  This image reminds me of the lilac bush we had at the farm I grew up on.  The original cutting came from my grandparents farm.  Oh, how I wish I had a cutting off of that bush!  I have to settle for one my husband bought a few years ago at a garden center.  He planted it so lovingly in our backyard knowing how much I longed for their scent!

I triple matted the base, a pale lavender, white and dark purple and used Copics to color the image.  A white seam binding bow graces the side.

And here's the image from Floral Sentiments 4...

Now on to a simpler card using a new stamp from Floral Sentiments 5...

This time I used a pale pink card base and matted the DP with black.  I used black ink to stamp my sentiment directly on the DP.  I colored the image in coordinating shades of pink and sponged a light blue sky background before die cutting.  A black satin bow finishes it off.

So which version do you like best, frilly or simple?

And here's the set used above Floral Sentiments 5...

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit!  Now don't forget to visit my fellow "Coasters" to see what projects they have come up with!  Until next time...

Blessings...

North Coast Creations ~ Thank You Friend ~

For me, thank you cards are the most difficult to make!  I struggle with color combos, feminine or masculine styles...  Thank you cards make me just plain...  NERVOUS!

This time, I opted to go with a very simple color scheme, black and white with just a touch of gray!  Kinda sounds like my natural hair color...  lol

I distressed the three alternating layers of black and white card stock before adding a double layer of die cuts.  The focal image is nestled on top (stamped in gray) with the sentiment in black.  I added a white seam binding bow to the corner with a cameo charm.  A very simple color scheme to add to my stash!

Don't forget to come back later this week (Saturday the 22nd to be exact) to see the new North Coast Creations release!  It promises to be fun!  And BEAUTIFUL!!!

Here are the products I used by North Coast Creations.

Thanks for stopping by!  Blessings to you today!

~ A Hearty Box ~

Welcome!  Happy Tuesday morning!  I have another box to share today.  This time I created a heart shaped box with an open top.  My plan?  To add a bouquet of artificial flowers peeking out...  Unfortunately, I did not get the photo done before mailing the final product off to Our Daily Bread Designs.

But it you squint your eyes and look really close...  You might be able to imagine what it would look like.  :-)

My intent was to leave the top open and display this little gem on it's side.  What do you think?

I also used the new Heart and Soul Paper Collection from ODBD.  I created the base (top bottom) with chipboard and white CS cover layers.  I added a coordinating DP heart die and the final white die cut filigree layer.  A silver and ivory button rests on top.  If you look closely, you can also see the border die I used on the side.

I could have added ribbon to create a hanger but decided to leave it free standing.

Here are the products I used.

Thanks for stopping in!  Until next time...

A special thank you to both Jennifer Elliott Etsy and Iralamija Etsy for providing our prizes this week!

This week we visit Psalms, Chapter 34...

This week I printed the digital scripture on white card stock and cut it at an angle.  With Valentine's Day coming up, I opted to use a soft pink card stock base with white accents and pretty Swiss dot print paper.  I used a heart die cut under my sentiment panel for an added bit of dimension.  A Mulberry rose and paper punched elements adorn the bottom.  Rretty simple this week!  I hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it!  {{hugs}}

ODBD ~ I Will Love You Forever ~

Good Monday morning to ya!  Hope all is warm and sunny in your neck of the woods!  Kentucky winters are normally mild but this year has been more like WILD!  We seem to have snow or ice each and every day!  One of our local school districts hasn't made it to school in 2 WEEKS!  And another is talking about extending the school year into the middle of June!  YIKES!  So glad I am NOT a teacher!  :-(  So even though the weather outside is frightful, the warmth inside is so delightful!  And to prove it, I have soaked up the warmth and created some Valentine projects to share this week!

Today's card features Our Daily Bread Designs' new release, Heart of Joy.

The card base is white card stock with a layer of distressed DP.  I embossed the image on white card stock and then lightly covered the entire thing with a pale pink ink.  I added a few piercings top and bottom along with some greenery and roses!  And isn't that a darling sentiment?  You can find it in the Heart of Joy set too!  Now that makes me think spring!  What makes you think spring?  Hugs and blessings dear friend...

A Look Back at North Coast Creations' January Release

Welcome!  Today we are taking a look back at North Coast Creations' January Release.

Here is the card I created using Floral Sentiments .  I colored the image to resemble a clematis.  We had one growing up behind the farm house I grew up in.  I miss the old home place and this beautiful image brought a smile to my face!

And here is a peek at the stamp set itself...

Isn't it darling?  I used a lovely floral print with a layer of embossed CS.  I stamped the sentiment on white card stock and after coloring the image, fussy cut and added it with dimensional foam.  A satin ribbon and silver button peek out below.

For more inspiration using the January Release be sure to visit the NCC Blog and the rest of the "Coasters..."

WAW118 ~ Galatians 5: 22-23 ~

Welcome!  It's time for another
inspirational challenge at Word Art Wednesday.

Check out the Word Art Wednesday site for all of the details including this week's digital scripture image, how to link your creation AND info on our fabulous prizes!

A special thank you to both the Robyn's Fetish and Heart and Soul Rubber Stamp Company for providing our prizes this week!  And a big thank you to Robyn's Fetish for providing the beautiful image I used this week!

This week we visit the book of Galatians, specifically Chapter 5 verses 22 and 23...

This week I used a fabulous image from Robyn's Fetish.  I colored it with Copics,  I created a mottled effect on the crockpot and flower centers using three variations of color and just dotting the marker to my paper.  And I love this scripture referencing the fruits of the spirit!  The image and sentiment lend themselves to a clean layout!

Thanks again for stopping by!  Until next time...  Blessings...

DS136 ~ You Make Me Smile ~

And yes you do!  Your kind words, love and encouragement mean the world to me!  Crafters are a wonderful bunch and you always seem to know exactly what to say and when to say it!  Thank you to a wonderful heavenly Father who provides wonderful people who continue to pray for and encourage me!  Thank you so very much!

Today's card is for The Deconstructed Sketch.  I don't get to play along as often as I would like to these days.  I chose a stamp set from North Coast Creations called Floral Sentiments 3.  This time I colored my pansies a soft melon color.

And here's the stamp set I used...

and the sketch...

I created a kraft card stock base with a nice melon colored CS for accents.  The DP is all from Bo Bunny (Ambrosia).  I must admit the colors made me just a little nervous but I dove in anyway...  lol
I used a few Recollections blossoms and manipulated jet flourish to accent the sentiment panel.  All of the panels were distressed and inked with Frayed Burlap (Ranger Distress Ink.)

I hope to have a bit more craft time this week so I can put together a Valentine Heart Treat Box (hanging).  And don't forget to stop back by on February 5th as we look back at North Coast Creations' January Release.  And that same day I will have a Word Art Wednesday project to share!  Whew!  Promises to be a busy week!  Thanks for stopping by and until next time...

Blessings...
