A Look Back at ODBD's February Release

Today we are taking a look back at Our Daily Bread Designs' February 1st release.  I created a tent card using Flourished Happy Easter stamp, new Little Lamb Die and coordinating older release Sheep Single Stamp.  I also used some of the new designer papers from the new Easter Card Paper Collection and Pastel Paper Collections. Be sure to visit the ODBD Blog for even more design team inspiration.  The links are listed after today's project.

I started out with a 5.25 by 5.25 white card stock base.  I also cut another piece of card stock measuring 5 x 2.5  to create the base it would eventually rest on.  I scored the narrow side (2.5 inches) every 1/4 inch and folded to create my base.  After adding a lovely floral print and stamping my sentiment in the center (Happy Easter Flourish) I added a bit of polka dotted pattern on the outside.  I used the Double Stitched Circles Die to create my gallery along with one larger circle die to create the "frame."  I adhered the gate fold stand to the bottom inside of my card with adhesive tape and added a bit of green grass (Grass Die).  I stamped this darling little lamb (Sheep Single) on Copic compatible paper and lightly colored him.  Once I was satisfied with the coloring, I pulled out the new Little Lamb Die and cut my image out.  I created the fun flowers with white card stock and Pretty Posies Die.  After cutting, I inked each blossom with a soft purple distress ink on the edges and a bit of soft yellow inside.  I moistened each blossom layer with a water mister and worked the blossoms with my hands and a paper shaping tool to reach the desired effect.  A bit of greenery (Fancy Foliage Die) adorns the corner.

So here are some of the items you see today...

Mid Month Bonus Die Release at Our Daily Bread Designs

There is a certain serendipity in the little surprises in life.  Like when the person in front of you at the fast food drive thru pays for your coffee or when a thoughtful motorist stops and lets you cross the parking lot.  It's the simple things that bring a smile to your face and thankfulness to your heart.  Today, Our Daily Bread Designs has pulled together a collection of dies as a special mid month release.  And I have a couple of projects to share featuring them.

First a special Lily Die that coordinates with the lovely Beauty stamp set.

I started with a card stock base measuring 5.5 x 4.25 inches.  I cut a light mint DP for the base from ODBD's Pastel Paper Collection and used the Flourished Star Pattern Die with white card stock for the next layer.  ODBD's Double Stitched Rectangles Die set and polka dot DP from the Pastel Paper Collection create the final layer.  I added a sentiment layer and mat using the Stitched Ovals Die.  I chose my sentiment (stamped with Versafine Onyx Black) from ODBD's February stamp set, Many Thanks.  I stamped the image (ODBD's Beauty) on Copic compatible paper and after coloring used the NEW coordinating Lily Die to cut it out.  I added a bit of foliage (Fancy Foliage Die) along with a pearl flourish.

So here is the new die...

which coordinates with this set...

And I used this February release for my sentiment...

And here is a fun tag I created using the new Lily Die and

I used the Tag Trio Die to create a polka dot tag and added a white card stock frilly tag also created with this set.  I used ODBD's With Much Thanks stamp set for the sentiment and added another colored image (Beauty) to the bottom.  A bit of seam binding helps me tie it all together and adorn the gift.

Here are the new items you see...

And here are some of the old favorites you see on my projects today...

Happy Valentine's Day!

Good morning!  I had the chance to work on a couple of projects in my studio this weekend.  I decided to create a Valentine card using one of ODBD's new stamp set, Many Thanks.

I started by creating my pink sentiment base with an old favorite from my die stash, Flourished Star Pattern Die.  I chose to stamp the sentiment (in a rich red) slightly off center.  And then after adding a die cut umbrella (Umbrella Die) and a few dainty raining hearts (also from the Umbrella Die set.)

Here is the sentiment set you see...

and the dies you see today...

Thank you for stopping by today!  I hope you have a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Merry Monday ~ A Flowerpot Card ~

Good morning!  Today, I have a flower pot card featuring some of the items from Our Daily Bread Designs.

I used ODBD's Flower Pot Card to create my card base, adding custom trimmed paper from the new Pastel Paper Pack and lace trim created with the Beautiful Borders Die set.  I lined the sentiment panel (which slides in the pot) with coordinating paper and stamped a lovely sentiment from the new Many Thanks stamp set.  I added a custom blossom created with ODBD's Pretty Posies Die.  I created all of these blossoms and leaves with white card stock and then colored the center of each blossom with a soft yellow distress die and the petals with a rich purple distress ink.  After each blossom dried, I spritzed it with water and then used a mouse pad, shaping tool and my fingers to shape and distress each blossom.  After they dried to the shape I wanted, I glued the desired layers together.  I have one larger blossom on the sentiment panel (which slides into the pot) and two smaller blossoms glued to the pot.  I added a few foliage sprigs from ODBD's Fancy Foliage Die.  I chose a simple sentiment from the Many Thanks stamp set and stamped it on the bottom corner.  A couple of DP scraps and this cute Easter Eggs Die helped create this two layer egg adorning the other corner.

Here is the card with the sentiment panel removed...

So here are the new items you see from this month's release...

WAW219 ~ I Am the Way ~

Good morning and welcome to a new bi-weekly challenge at Word Art Wednesday
We have more great prizes this week SO be sure to stop by and check this challenge out.  AND make sure to post your creation for an opportunity to win!

This week we have a wonderful passage from the New Testament.  I chose to use a grunge stamp to add layers of pink, rose and red before adding a beautiful die cut heart.

I started with a white card stock panel measuring 5.5 x 4.25 inches.  I used a piece of SU Blushing Bride Pink CS for a mat and printed my scripture panel on white card stock.  I positioned it to the right of my card stock panel and used a die to cut it out as pictured.  I then layered on stamped "ink blotches" for interest.  I chose a bit of Stampin' Up Real Red card stock and this fun die from Simon Says Stamp for the corner.  #SimonSaysStamp

It is amazing how God works.  After I had put this card together and photographed it...  I realized some of the "spots" resembled blood...  There is not greater love than that my friends...

Blessings...

Merry Monday, on a Tuesday!

Merry Monday!  And no, I haven't lost my mind.  I really do know it is Tuesday!  I decided to shake things up a bit this week.  On Monday, Our Daily Bread Designs shared their February release.  So if you would like to check out the fun projects and items I shared click HERE.

So instead of sharing on Monday, I have a fun card for you today AND if that isn't shaking things up enough...  I have a VALENTINE card!

My fabulous Stampin' Up rep loaned me her Sheltering Tree stamp set.  I love this stamp and will definitely be adding this set to my collection.  I started with a black CS base and Real Red CS mat.  I used Sahara Sand, Basic Black, Rose Red and Real Red to stamp the image.  I opted to add two layers of leaves in Rose Red and Real Red.  I wanted a bit more depth.  In this photo you can see the panel at the bottom using Real Red only...  The best part?  You can do whatever you want!  ;-)

And here is the stamp set...

I think I could stamp the leaves with white ink on blue card stock and make a wonderful Christmas image...  maybe for another MERRY MONDAY!  Thanks for stopping by!

Blessings...
