~ Welcome Spring ~

Good morning!  The weather is getting much better here thankfully.  And I am looking forward to getting out and about to work in the yard.  The tulips haven't shown themselves yet since the weather had been so cold.  So I had to create my own using a few new items from Our Daily Bread Designs.  I decided to color these tulips white for a bit softer look.  And I added them to a basket created with an older favorite from ODBD.

The new items you see...

Tulips stamp set and coordinating Tulip Die

I embossed the basket image with a brown sugar EP on kraft before cutting with the coordinating die.  I added two tulip images, colored and die cut.  I love the ease of the Side Step Card Die.  No more pulling out the paper trimmer and trying to remember where to cut and how far!  :-)

All of the items from the March release...

Sketch Saturday #415 ~ You are Awesome ~

Welcome!  I find myself thinking more and more about a real vacation.  It has been a couple of years since hubs and I made a trek to the beach.  And I think this could be the year...  Not sure if it will be the Upper Peninsula, the Atlantic or the Gulf Coast just yet...  I definitely need the feel of sand between my toes.  Until then this card, inspired by the weekly Sketch Saturday Challenge will have to do!

I started with a white card stock base measuring 5.5 x 8.5 inches, scored and folded at 4.25 inches.  I added a layer of turquoise card stock (die cut with ODBD's Pierced Rectangles Die.  I die cut two more panels of sand colored card stock and tore them into three layers to overlap and create my sand.  I used ODBD's Fence Die cut from Kraft paper to create my fence.  I cut the individual planks and added a bit of hemp twine to create my beach fence.  ODBD's Grass Border Die cut into individual grass blades added a fun touch.  I used ODBD's Leafy Edged Borders Die and more turquoise card stock for my sea and a bit of leftover scraps for the shoes (ODBD's Flip Flops Die) and umbrella (Umbrellas Die.)  I used the new June release, You Bless Me So to die cut part of the sentiment and stamp the rest.

Here are the items you see today.

and the sketch I used...  flipped sideways...

New Pennant Stamps at Our Daily Bread Designs!

Welcome!  Can you believe it is Monday already?  Normally, Monday's are not the day I would define as exciting...  HOWEVER, this one most certainly is!  Because...  DRUM ROLL PLEASE...

has a special mid month release!!!!

Yep... you heard that right!  A very special new Pennant Swag Solid Alphabet  stamp set is available!  And the best part???  It coordinates with ODBD's Pennant Swag Die!

Now that's the kind of news to make my Monday morning!

Here's my project using the new stamp set along with the coordinating die...

and the Pennant Swag Solid Alphabet set...
(our special mid month release...)

I started with a white card stock base (5.5 x 4.25 inches) and added a bright yellow mat.  I used ODBD's Sunburst Background Die to create a background, inking all exposed areas with Memento Cantaloupe and Dandelion inks.  I found a scrap piece of Kraft paper and used ODBD's Fence Die to cut my border.  A bit of green CS along with ODBD's Grass Border Die peek out from behind the fence.  I positioned my stamps using the die and after stamping die cut the banner.  A couple of Kraft birds (Birdcage and Banner Die) seem to be sneaking off with my banner.  :-)
I tucked a few die cut clouds  from the Cloud and Raindrops Die
over my sun.

I just love the versatility of this stamp set!  I must tell you positioning these stamps is SUPER easy!

***Just check out this VIDEO by Lisa Somerville
showing you just how easy they are to work with!***

And don't forget to investigate what my design team sisters have cooked up too!  But before I send you on, take a look at some of the other ODBD items you see today...

ODBD ~ Welcome Center Step Card ~

Happy Saturday and a very good morning!  It's hard to believe that August is really here.  And last Saturday, Our Daily Bread Designs'  shared a fun new release.  However, I took a few moments to look back at some of the fun items from July's release.  Today's card used a few items from the July release including, Home Sweet Home, Welcoming Window Die, Window Shutter and Awnings Die  and Flower Box Fillers Die.

And if you look closely you will see a few old favorites too...

This week I created a center step card.  I created my own center step card base for this project but I will let you in on a little secret...  ;-)
YOU can buy center step cards bases already made HERE at ODBD!

I started with a rich chocolate card stock base and added weathered siding DP from ODBD's Blushing Rose Paper Collection to the center and each side.  I chose a soft moss green and white polka dotted coordinating DP for the bottom and to create my die cut awning.  My team member, America, shared this clever and fun use this month for the new Window Shutter and Awnings Die  and I had to try it.  She took the "shutter" die and used it to create "shades..."  SHE IS TOO CLEVER!  SQUEAL!!!!!!  A rich brown window box and blossoms are nestled in behind a bit of grass border and two gate dies glued together.  I stamped my sentiment on white card stock and cut out a sign for the side of my faux house.  Isn't it fun??

SO here are the items I used today....

(Welcome Sign)

(Awning & Window Shades)

(Window Box, Greenery & Blossoms)

and some old favorites including...
(2 part fence)

and the Grass Border Die
from earlier this spring...
(Grass...  and yes, my yard needs to be mowed...  lol)

and the beautiful Blushing Rose Paper Collection...
(the base for it all)

Thanks so much for stopping by to get a bit of creative inspiration!  Hope you have a wonderful week!

Blessings...

ODBD ~ The Promise of a New Day ~

Good morning!  Today, I have a post featuring a few items from Our Daily Bread Designs'
June release.  For this project I used ODBD's new die, Sunburst Background along with the Sunrise Blessings.  I've been thinking about our trip last year to the Outer Banks and just how AMAZING it was to see the sun come up over the ocean.  I keep seeing the beautiful sea oats, sand dunes and quaint fences...  So I was inspired to create this...

I started with a card base measuring 5.5 x 4.25 inches.  I chose a goldenrod color card stock to build on and added a white CS mat.  I used the Sunburst Background Die to cut/emboss my focal layer (also in goldenrod) but before removing the die, shaded everything with a rich yellow distress ink and sponge.  I stamped my sun image (Sunshine Blessings)
on Copic compatible paper and after coloring, gently cut it out.  I used ripped some Kraft paper (this is where you get your frustrations out my friends) and overlapped them to create sand dunes.  I nestled the hand cut sun in behind the dunes so the "rays" from the die would appear to come from Mr. Sun.  I then used a couple of older dies from ODBD to create my version of sand grass and a beautiful fence.  I opted to stamp the sentiment directly on my embossed background with Versafine ink.

So here are the products you see today...

and some oldies but goodies...

Have a wonderful day!

Can you believe it is ALREADY the 20th of March?  It seems like the month is just flying by!  My daffodils are peeking hesitantly out of the ground and the bunnies seem to have a new spring in their hop.  Speaking of spring...  it has been a joy to share some of the new products from Our Daily Bread Designs this month!  And since it is mid month, we taking a look back at Our Daily Bread Designs' March Release.   Here are a couple of cards I created using Basket of Blessings along with the new Shabby Rose Paper Collection.  For more inspiration using the February Release be sure to visit the ODBD Blog.
