A Look Back at North Coast Creations' May Release

Welcome!  Thank you for stopping by and sharing a bit of your day.  Today, we are taking a look back at North Coast Creations' May Release.  I hate to see the month go...  Isn't spring just flying by?  **sigh**

All the more reason to celebrate good weather and all of those spring and summer activities!  And with that in mind, here is the card I created using Happy Camper.

I stamped one tree image on Copic compatible paper and colored it.  I then stamped, colored and cut two more trees along with the campfire and sign.  After die cutting the original image, I used a scallop punch, sponge dauber and light blue ink to create faux "clouds."  I added the base image to another blue die cut panel before affixing to the die cut card stock base.  I added my two trees, campfire and sign with dimensional foam for added depth.  I love the airy feel to this design!

Here's another peek at the set I used...

I have a couple of projects to share today featuring a few lovely new sets.

The first one showcases the new set, Iris.

I created a center step card for the iris image, coloring the image on Copic compatible paper.  If you think some of the dies and paper look familiar...  you are right!
Here's the new...

And here is a paper collection from May Rustic Paper that worked out perfectly with this image...

RUSTIC BEAUTY COLLECTION 6x6 PAPER PAD
plus an older die set, Fancy Foliage

My second card features the new paper collection,
Blushing Rose and the beautiful stamp set, My Friend.

I stamped the rose image (My Friend) and colored it with Copics before fussy cutting it.  I used a Kraft card stock base, layered on a soft green DP from the Blushing Rose Collection.  I added a Kraft die cut frame using Vintage Flourish Pattern die, another coordinating DP layer (Vintage Labels) and stamped my sentiment (My Friend) with a rich elderberry colored ink.  I added the fussy cut rose image on the bottom and voila!

additional products you see on both cards today...

ODBD ~ On the Wings of ~

Happy Friday dear friends!  Today promises to be a busy one at the Ulrich household!  I must admit I LOVE a hectic pace.  I like feeling useful and today promises to bring lots of opportunities to prove that!  lol...  In the meantime, I would like to share a simple card featuring one of Our Daily Bread Designs' May releases, Holy Angels.

Here are the sets you see...

and this fabulous paper collection also by ODBD...

I started with a 4.25 x 5.5 inch black card stock base.  I used my paper trimmer to cut 3/4 of an inch into the base and cut to reveal my base panel.  I decorated the base panel with white card stock matting and a slightly smaller layer of Chalkboard DP.  I then cut a slightly smaller white CS piece for the front panel and stamped the wings with light gray ink.  I followed up with the sentiment in black.  I stamped two keys on white card stock, fussy cut each and added them with a bit of hemp twine.  Super easy!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  June 1st is just around the corner and that means NEW RELEASE day at Our Daily Bread Designs!  It promises to be both beautiful and fun!

WAW134 ~ Nehemiah 9:6 ~ Thou Art Lord

Welcome!  Thanks so much for stopping by!    It's time for another
fun and inspirational challenge at Word Art Wednesday.

Check out the Word Art Wednesday site for all of the details including this week's digital scripture, how to link your creation AND info on some fabulous prizes!

And a very special thank you to the Frantic Stamper, Cheery Lynn Designs and Daydream Designs!  These fabulous companies provided our prizes this week!

This week we are visiting scripture from the Old Testament, specifically Nehemiah...

I started with 5.25 x 5.25 inch pink card stock base and double matted the DP with white and black card stock.  I chose a couple of coordinating designs from the Garden Party Collection from Pebbles.  I printed my scripture panel on white CS and continued the triple matted design.  I added a spray of flowers including a couple of lilies from the wedding department of a craft store and a few mulberry blossoms.  For interest, I added a jet black bead flourish cut to fit.  I also used some punched leaves and branches in the spray.  I just love the contrast!

Thanks as always for stopping by!  Stop back in later this week to see an old project I'm working on plus some new releases from Our Daily Bread Designs.  Blessings...

North Coast Creations ~ Dance ~

I must admit...  I have absolutely ZERO rhythm!  So if you asked me to dance...  let's just say it might resemble something more like me running across hot coals...  lol...  But I must say, I do admire those who can.  I always enjoyed seeing "The Nutcracker" performed each Christmas and dreamed of being a "Solid Gold" dancer...  OK...  maybe not the "Solid Gold" dancer thing...  No gold tights here...  Seriously, there is nothing more powerful than watching a beautifully choreographed ballet.

This lovely set, Ballet, makes my heart sing...

I chose a soft cream colored card stock base and added a rich cinnamon layer.  Another cream layer mats the DP layer from Our Daily Bread Designs' paper pad, Rustic Beauty Collection.  I stamped the image (from North Coast Creations' Ballet set) on cream and added the sentiment with a rich red ink.  I used ODBD's Vintage Labels die to cut and emboss the layer.  I cut a second sheet of the DP (rose spray in the corner) and added it with dimensional foam.  Final touches include flowers created with ODBD's Ornamental Crosses Die and adorned with tiny black micro beads and bits of hemp twine.  Isn't it cute?

Here's some of the products you see today from both Our Daily Bread Designs and North Coast Creations...

~ You Hold the Key ~

Welcome!  I'm so very glad you stopped by to visit.  Today I have a card with "heart."  And you will know exactly what I mean when you see it.

There are lots of delicious layers to see here!  I started with a plain white card stock base and deep red matting.  I chose Our Daily Bread Designs' Heart and Soul Paper Collection for my DP layer.  I used left over scraps (white CS) to create my heart (two layers both from Ornate Hearts Die), leaves (Fancy Foliage Die) and wings (from ODBD's new set, Angel Wings).   The keys can also be found on the Angels Wings die set.  I chose the Keys to Heaven stamp set for my sentiment before pulling out a coordinating red ink to use.  I added all of my layers with dimensional foam and added a soft pink flourish and romantic roses.  I used red thread to tie my faux keys together.

Here are some of the ODBD products you see here today...

Thanks so much and hope to see you soon!
