Happy 3rd Birthday Exploring Cricut!

Welcome to another fun bi-weekly challenge at Exploring Cricut!  Diane and company are celebrating a big milestone today!  The Exploring Cricut blog is now three years old!  And to celebrate we are having a hop!

The challenge this week....

create a card, layout, or paper craft celebrating a birthday event...

It can be any color, but must include at least 1 button, brad or jewel...

So here's mine with a tiny silver brad adorning the top...

 I used Cricut's Staight From the Nest cartridge (all cuts at 3.75 inches...)

I used Cricut Craft Room to weld two white party hat bases together and then cut a layer of orange and white DP.  Instead of cutting the top and trim, I opted to use some cotton balls added with glue.  I fastened a silver brad (don't ya love the bling?) and a tiny orange flower to the brim.  So fun!  Now you HAVE to see all the projects the other ladies put together!  And don't forget to leave them some love!

I'll be back in a few hours with another stamping project!  Thanks for stopping in!  {{hugs}}

A Hybrid Card

It's not often that I whip out my Cricut to do cards anymore. Not that I don't love my Cricut but it seems I have taken on a new obsession with stamping. Every card I do anymore centers around some sort of stamping technique and particularly Copics. So for this post I decided to force myself to do some sort of hybrid card, blending my new love stamping with my old love, the Cricut. I wanted something with a fall theme since I had just recently purchased this Willow image from Whiff of Joy. I couldn't wait to color it and put it on a card. The die cuts are from the Straight from the Nest cartridge and seemed to work really well. I think you can have two loves, right? My Cricut and my stamps... Until next time have a wonderful day!
