Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge #102- Incorporating Music

Happy Wednesday to ya! Don't Wednesdays make you wanna sing? This week's challenge at Stampin Sisters in Christ is to incorporate music and/or singing in your creation. Psalm 4:8

Well, step-son left yesterday for school. Dad handled it beautifully but step-mom fell apart... I kept blubbering... and asking hubby why I was taking this so hard... He had some very wise words to share... "it takes a special kind of woman to love another woman's biological child. You my dear have loved him as if he were your very own..." So after I sobbed some more... (Kleenex made a killing off of me yesterday...) I pulled myself together long enough to work on this card. I had some leftover pieces of paper and the sentiment... it says it all. Here's to new beginnings and new blessings! Have a wonderful week!

Challenge SNTODBD16

One of the challenges this week at Our Daily Bread Designs was to incorporate a bird into a card design. Specifically they asked those playing along to do something seasonal that ties in with the bird stamps. Easy right? Except I am a dumb cluck... (pun intended) and couldn't decided whether Mr. Chickadee was a spring, summer, fall or winter creature. That took me back to the Color Me Beautiful days... I think I dated myself with that comment! :-P After search the internet to find a final answer I settled on a winter theme. Most of the photos I saw were taken in the winter months when the little guy was snacking on berries. So hopefully this card does our little black crested chickadee his just dues!

Today's creation was inspired by a recent tent card highlighted on Splitcoaststampers. Check out
this for details!
