Mojo Monday

Today's card was designed for a contest over at Mojo Monday's blog. If you haven't had a chance to check out their site take a look. This particular challenge gives you a sketch to interpret. Call me a purist but I love sketches. They are kinda like a road map and I am a visual learner! If I had my choice between a good old fashioned atlas and my TomTom, the atlas would win every time! I like being able to see the overall picture of things, what other sites are around and the like. Plus ole Tom has been known to give me a few miscues on occasion. After all, technology is only as good as those who create it... :-) And my hubby would say as good as those who use it! (wink, wink) Hope you have a terrific Wednesday! Friday is almost here!

Stop the World, I Wanna Get Off!

I know you've been there... running here and yon... not sure if you're coming or going. That has been the story of my life lately. But honestly, I love it! I am perfectly happy multi-tasking and pushing myself to do just one more thing! It's amazing that God designed us, women that is, in such a way. Studies show that men and women think and reason differently. Does this REALLY surprise anyone? :-) But we are both wired so differently. What bothers me doesn't ruffle my hubby at all and what drives him nuts is just fine by me! The creator in his ultimate plan works it all out for good. Today I have to say I really don't want to get off this carousel ride. I believe my Savior has a great deal more to show me. Have a wonderful day!

Pretty In Pink

Pink is NOT my favorite color. It ranks probably dead last. I have nothing in my closet that is even close to a pale shade of pink. You see, I have a fair complexion and avoid all pale colors. A few years ago I received a pale pink sweater for my birthday (not from anyone who knew me very well) and I wore it a couple of times trying to give it a chance. But after someone asked me not once but twice if I was feeling ill I decided it wasn't a color for me. But I love using pink in my paper creations. There is something so serene about the color and particularly in sweet peas. We plant some on our farm each and every year. I anxiously await the seed catalogs in spring to make sure I get the best varieties (antique of course.) This image and sentiment from Flourishes are perfect. With a little help from my trusty Copics they pop! I hope you and yours are having a pretty in pink kinda day (minus the sickly comments... LOL).

The Season of Singing

I love Song of Solomon. Some of the most beautiful passages come from this book of the Bible. This set from Our Daily Bread Designs brings to mind the birth of spring. The robins are singing, the flowers are blooming and my allergies are killing me... LOL... But I love the beauty of nature. The creation is such a powerful reminder of the creator. We should be singing praises at the beauty around us. I hope you can sing a song from your heart today.

Just a Little Note

Nothing spells summer to me like the colors red, white and blue. This stamp from Whiff of Joy warms my heart. There is something so cute about this little lady with her toes stretched out in her cute little dress. When I saw the cherries on the print I knew I had to go with blue and white for the rest of her outfit.

Hot Pink, Little Girls and Dress Up

As a little girl I loved to play dress up. My mother's poor sheer curtains saw endless hours of playing wedding! I would toddle around in her number 9 shoes and dream of the day I too would wear high heels. Today, I can't wait to get them off that one day a week (usually Sunday) I wear them. Funny how our perspective on things changes. But no doubt little girls still love to dress up and pretend to be all grown up. This stamp captures that image so well. I guess we should all try to keep a little bit of the child in us. But I sure can do without those high heels! Here's hoping you have a wonderful day!
