~ Lots of Love ~

Taking a few moments to work on an old Mojo Monday sketch...  Last week was spent traveling and I just didn't get around to as much crafting as I would like.  I hope to fix that this week...  lol...

So here is my interpretation of last week's Mojo sketch using Our Daily Bread Designs'
Sending My Love stamp/die duo...

I started with a black card stock base measuring 4.25 x 5.5 inches.  I added a slightly smaller white mat and a bit of floral DP.  I chose to used ODBD's Doily Die to create my sentiment panel.  I used the new stamp/die due Sending My Love.  A bit of white card stock and the die element create the word Sending for the top...

Here are the items you see today...

As I mentioned earlier, I hope to get back to crafting more this week.  Join me Wednesday for a new Word Art Wednesday Challenge along with a few other projects this week.  Have a wonderful Monday!

Blessings...

NCC ~ Santa Buford ~

Good morning!  I hope this note finds you snuggled up with a nice cup of cocoa!  The weather has taken on a decided chill and a few snowflakes even made their first appearance of the year!  I'm excited to sit down with family and friends this week to celebrate Thanksgiving.  I have many things to be thankful for this year.  Sometimes in the hectic schedules we all keep, it is easy to lose sight of them!
And tomorrow marks my very first Merry Monday post!  I will share a Christmas card each and every Monday until the big day.  (And I may just keep this tradition going all year...)  Because just like many of you, I have a number of obligations that keep crafting time to a minimum.  So why not get a jump start and create ONE Christmas card each week?  By this time next, year I will have 52 cards complete!  WOW!!!!
Today I have a fun card to share using North Coast Creations' Santa Buford image along with a sentiment from the Cactus Lights set...

and a few fun items from our sister company, Our Daily Bread Designs

Thanks for stopping by...  until next time...

Blessings...

ODBD ~ Isaiah 9:6 ~ Prince of Peace

Welcome!  Everywhere I look gold seems to be the going trend in home decor, Christmas decorations AND card making!  And being a person who would never buck a trend...  I pulled out some gold poster board, DP from Our Daily Bread Designs and went to work!

I started with an ecru card stock base, gold matting and slightly smaller DP from ODBD's Christmas Card Collection 2015...

I stamped the sentiment (The Mighty God) with gold ink on ecru paper and cute it down to size.  I nestled an ecru doily die cut (Doily Die) under the sentiment panel and added a couple of gold die cuts from the NEW Lovely Leaves Die set.  And that fun ribbon...  created using the new Small Bow Die set.

Here is the new stamp set....

 Paper Collection....

NEW dies...

and an old favorite!

Thanks so much for spending just a bit of your Monday morning with me!  I hope you have a wonderfully blessed day!

A Look Back at Our Daily Bread Designs' October Release

Good morning and welcome to a special look back at this month's Our Daily Bread Designs' October 1st release.  Here is the card I created using Christmas Tunes. For more inspiration using the October Release be sure to visit the ODBD Blog. I started with a 5.25 x 5.25 rich red card stock base and layered it up.

I chose this sentiment from the new Christmas Tunes set and used the coordinating Vintage Labels Die to cut it out.  A bit of greenery and a lush poinsettia (Fancy Foliage and Peaceful Poinsettias Die) set off the corner.  If you look closely you can even see a couple of jingle bells in the mix!  I adhered two sheets of the new Christmas Paper Collection 2015 pages together and folded them back to create my pocket.  The Doily Die and Ornate Borders and Flowers Die accent it.

So here are the items you see today...

and some old favorites...

Don't forget to stop by and visit my design team sisters to see what they have created!  Thanks as always for stopping in!

Blessings...

ODBD ~ Let Hope Blossom ~

Several people in my circle of friends and acquaintances are dealing with the loss of a love one this week.  Studies show that some of the most stressful events in life are traumatic events, including divorce, death, job loss and moving, just to name a few.  As staggering as these blows may be there is great comfort in knowing that there is hope.  I have known people who refused to allow hope to reside in their hearts.  And I must admit there have been times in my own life where I have refused to water the seed.  Sometimes it is just easier to shut yourself down and cower to the pain.  (Anyone else know what I mean???)  There are times when you feel as if there is so much darkness swallowing you up that absolutely no sunlight can get in.  I have found that I must have a willing heart to accomplish this goal.
Maybe that is why I love this sentiment from Our Daily Bread Designs' recent release, Blossom.  When I first laid eyes on this set, I was immediately drawn to the rose image and beautiful scripts.  But the more I studied the sentiments, the more intrigued I became.  A bloom has to be nurtured so it can grow, develop, and eventually blossom into the beautiful flower it was meant to be.  It requires a great deal of watering, fertilizing and care before that rose can reach it's full potential.  And yes, it NEEDS sunlight!!!  And when the rose opens up and you can see just how beautiful the finished product is...  WOW!!!   I think hope starts out in a very similar way.  When you wrestle with challenges and disappointments it is difficult to see the end of the tunnel.  Eventually, there comes a point when you can actually see that little bit of light...  You have to nurture it.  You have to want hope!  You have to walk, crawl, run, whatever you can to get there!!!  And sometimes a good friend or two will drag you toward that light.  And you have sun and sometimes you have rain...  but both are needed for the greater good!  We need both to become stronger...

Today's card featuring Blossom...

I started with a red card stock base (5.5 x 4.25 inches).  I then added a slightly smaller white mat with designer paper from ODBD's Patriotic Paper Collection.  I cut a fun doily die from white card stock (Doily Die) and added the stamped sentiment panel (Patriotic Paper Collection. Circle Ornaments Die and Blossom stamp set) stamped in red.
I stamped the rose images on Copic compatible paper and colored those with copics before fussy cutting each.  I added twigs, vines and leaves using ODBD's Fancy Foliage Die.

So here are the items you see today...

and some old favorites...

Today we are taking a look back at North Coast Creations March release.  I have a couple of projects today featuring What's Brewing'? and Warm My Heart .  For more inspiration using the March Release be sure to visit the NCC Blog.

I stamped the cup image on Copic paper and lightly colored it with Copics.  I stamped the sentiment with a rich cocoa ink and hand cut it.  I added it to the image with dimensional foam.  Here are the two sets I used...

I loved the What's Brewin'? set so much

~ Some Bunny Loves You ~

I just love bunnies!  We have a few wild (err... rogue) bunnies who make their home on our farm.  One particularly clever guy (or gal) has taken up residence in the barn with our horse Allie and our ram, Pinky.  It is so funny to watch him go hopping along always mindful of the fence and how close the Saint Bernards are.  Sometimes, it seems like the little guy is watching the dogs and I swear he is grinning!  Could he possibly be taunting the Saints?  :-)
Well, this little bunny image from North Coast Creations seems to be quite content with life as well.  He has all of his Easter eggs gathered close.  I love how he is just chillin' all nestled in the die cut grass.

I stamped the image on ecru card stock and lightly colored his fur with a soft brown Copic marker.  I also added just a hint of pink to his nose, ears and paw pads.  Mr. Bunny has a nice bed of green grass (a sneak peak from Our Daily Bread Designs' March release, Grass Die).  The ecru die cut doily (ODBD's Doily Die) provides a focal point for the sentiment and fussy cut bunny (both from North Coast Creations' Hippity Hoppity stamp set.)  And those darling die cut eggs???  Another sneak peek from Our Daily Bread Designs' March release, Eggs Die...

So let's hop right into today's creations...

My first card features the new Pansies set...

and the darling set that inspired it all...

I started with a simple 5.5 x 4.25 card stock base and added DP from Our Daily Bread Designs' Blooming Garden Paper Collection.  I colored the image with Copics after stamping it on Copic compatible paper.  This image is perfect for fussy cutting (exactly what I did) before placing on a doily die (Our Daily Bread Designs' Doily Die.)  Both layers have dimensional foam underneath for added dimension.  I added a simple white seam binding bow before placing the sentiment.

And now for card number 2...

featuring the new stamp set Hippity Hoppity from North Coast Creations AND
a couple of new dies from Our Daily Bread Designs'

I stamped my image and colored it lightly with a soft gray (basically to define the image.)  I stamped it again on some fun dotted paper from Our Daily Bread Designs' Blushing Rose Paper Collection.  I paper pieced Mr. Rabbit's ears, belly and paw pads.  I used a soft blue and gray ink to lightly sponge the sky background.  I used a coordinating design from the paper collection and ODBD's Vintage Labels Die to cut a window for my design from coordinating paper.  The grass and egg dies were so easy to use and were perfect for using up remaining paper scraps.  I decided to pull out another die from ODBD (Pennant Dies) to create a darling flag and flagpole to display my sentiment.

Isn't this new image darling???
