Punches in a whole new light

Recently I spotted a layout in a magazine featuring a new use for punches. On the layout the designer had used seven different punches on various widths of card stock (the same color as the base card stock). After adhering the punched pieces to the base (varying up and down) the designer than finished the layout with designer paper and photos. I really liked the look and promptly marked the page for future reference. Sadly, I usually never go back and try the idea I took such pains to save. But today is an exception! If you look closely at the photo above you will notice four different punched pieces adhered with dimensional foam to the base. I used three Martha Stewart punches and one Fiskars punch. I used this "foundation creation" to build my card on. Kinda fun, huh? Perfect way to use up those leftover scraps you have after trimming card stock! Happy Friday to you!
