Man does not live by bread alone

Happy Sunday to you and yours! By the time you read this post, I will reach a milestone... the BIG 40! I'm hoping a less eventful milestone than thirty, as I spent that one in the hospital... My body starting falling apart EARLY! lol... Not sure what hubby and crew have planned. I seem to get a great deal of evasive answers and I don't knows as of late...

I want to share one thought with you today. As I was making this card, I started to think about the scripture used. It's interesting to note that most scientists insist that man can live for several days without food. Most say that water is crucial. If I skip a meal, I can get mighty uncomfortable. My tummy tends to revolt and fast! But what revolts when we don't study His word? Do we have an internal mechanism like our tummy which makes noise and tells us to get back to studying about our Lord? I never really thought about it until today. It seems we get so busy with "other stuff" that we often forget what is truly important. Wouldn't it be easier if we had something like a gas gauge that tells us when we need to fill up on God's word? That's why it is so important to schedule time to study and meditate on what he is teaching us. I know I am guilty of letting other things get in the way and as this new phase in my life begins, I intend to shake things up a little. Kinda of like a new life resolution instead of a new year's resolution... Thanks as always for reading and sharing what you are learning as well on this journey called life... Hope you enjoy what I have for you!

I'm sharing a new take on card making today. Several years ago, I did needlepoint and cross stitch. For this card I took some ivory 14 count aida (the material you use for cross stitch) and used it as a background for the image. The paper (DCWV) is absolutely stunning. It has flocking on it. It reminds me of something you might see in a high Victorian style home. I thought the two complemented one another quite nicely!

Blessings to you and yours as you worship this Sunday.

Lori
