~ You Have Blessed My Life ~

There are so many wonderful people who have impacted my life.  There was a dear great aunt who took it upon herself to encourage me spiritually and educationally as a young girl.  There were teachers who pushed me to excel.  And naturally, my parents, who took great pains to teach a young girl the value of hard work and discipline.  If you stop and take inventory, I bet you can name quite a few people who helped you become who you are!  It is so very important to tell those special folks thank you.  Many of those who have impacted my life have already passed on.  Yet, there are those around me each and every day who continue to bless me.  And this card will go to one of those very special people.

I used a black card stock base with a white mat layer.  The DP (from Our Daily Bread Designs' Chalkboard Collection was cut to size and used for my base.  The lace trim is actually part of the DP!  I added a white die cut layer (Antique Labels & Border Dies) and sentiment (also from the Chalkboard Collection) cut with Vintage Labels Die.  I added some greenery created with the Fancy Foliage Die and blossoms created with the Ornamental Crosses Die.  A few strategically placed adhesive pearls adorn the faux lace and blossom centers.  Very simple indeed!  I hope she likes it!

A Look Back at Our Daily Bread Designs' May Release

Today we are taking a look back at Our Daily Bread Designs' May Release.  My, how this month has flown by!  Here is the card I created using the Carried to Heaven stamp set, Angel Wings and Vintage Labels die sets along with some older sets.

I used a simple pink and white color scheme, layered die cuts and embossed panels.  I started with a white base, light pink layer and finished with a white embossed panel.  I cut the pink sentiment panel with the Vintage Labels  set and followed with a stamped panel die cut from the Antique Labels & Borders Die.  I stamped the sentiment panel using Carried to Heaven and lightly edged it with a soft pink ink.  I placed two die cut and Glimmer Misted wings (Angel Wings ) under the panel before embellishing with the Fancy Foliage Die, mulberry roses and pearls.  Don't you just love pink???

So here are some of the products you see...

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Don't forget to visit my sister "sticks" to see what they have created!  Until next time,

Blessings...

Welcome to a new month and new release from North Coast Creations!  I know you will love this release as much as our team does.  And what makes it even better?  You have a chance to win a gift certificate toward the purchase of your very own set!

Two winners will be randomly chosen from the comments left on the designers' blogs to receive a $10 gift certificate good towards the purchase of NCC stamps just for commenting on our Design Team cards!

You must hurry!  You have until May 17, 2014 at 10:00PM EDT to leave a comment on each of our designers blog posts.  Our 2 random winners will be announced on the NCC blog on May 18, 2014, so be sure to check to see if you have won!

I have a couple of projects to share today including one perfect for that camping aficionado in your life and the darling dancer you know!  Let's take a peek...

I stamped the trailer and sign on Copic compatible paper and colored each before fussy cutting.  I stamped the trees (using masks) to create a forest.  I used my Copics to create random blades of grass and some soft blue ink and scalloped piece of paper to create the fluffy clouds.  I added the camper and sign with dimensional foam.

And here's the set.  Isn't it cute?

The second project is decidedly more feminine with lots of seafoam, white and pink layers.  I distressed some of the DP and stamped the image on white Neenah paper.  I did minimal coloring since I wanted the ballet slippers to appear white with pink ribbons.  I added a seafoam bow, die cut greenery and a coordinating sentiment panel from the same set.

And here it is...

I hope you enjoyed this peek at today's new sets.  Don't forget to visit my fellow "Coasters" and share the love!  Thanks so much!

~ With Deepest Sympathy ~

Sympathy card are always difficult for me to do.  I struggle with just what to say and how to present it.  This card will go to a special person who lost her mother this year.  With Mother's Day just a few days ago, I hope this will let her know I am thinking of her and the painful loss she suffered this year.  (Pansies are here favorite spring flower...)

I used the small heart die from the Ornate Hearts set and cut three hearts in yellow, two in purple and two in green for each pansy.  I used a large stylus to work the paper into petals and added them together to create my "pansy."  I nestled each on some greenery formed with the Fancy Foliage Die and placed a glittery set of wings from the new Angel Wings Die set underneath.  I stamped the sentiment (Carried to Heaven) with black ink on white card stock and hand cut my tag.  A tiny white and yellow baker's twine bow is nestled on top!

Here's some of the items I used...

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Until next time...

~ Don't Get Discouraged ~

Happy Friday!  The end of another work week is here!  I find myself in a deeply reflective mood this week.  Have you ever had a case of the "might have beens?"  You know, when you question some of the choices you have made in life?  I'm sure that you have thought about those a few times as well.

I love my life and who I am.  There are times when I feel that I should have done more, that I have not accomplished enough...  I'm sure that is Satan whispering in my ear...  trying to erode my confidence.  Isn't that what the great deceiver does so well?  Telling us we are never good enough...  and yes that is true...  But I don't have to be "good enough."  Jesus was the perfect sacrifice and through our Lord's grace and mercy I don't have to worry about being good enough.  Don't get me wrong.  We must strive to be better people, strong Christians and to do the right thing.  However, just because we mess up it doesn't mean we lose our value in the sight of our Lord.  He loved us enough to send his son to die for us.  That tells me I am "good enough."

I found this sentiment to be particularly encouraging this week.  Sometimes we have to try a few "keys" before we can unlock the door.  Life may take a few different turns but what we unlock...  abundant life... is what really matters...  I hope it serves to inspire you as well.

Blessings...

I started with a Kraft card stock base (5.5 x 4.25 inches) and a double mat (white & navy).  I added a soft blue and white DP (from ODBD's Christian Faith Collection.)  I used a paper crimper on the Kraft panel and added two white die cut edgings from ODBD's Antique Labels and Border Die.  The sentiment (Keys to Heaven) was stamped with a dark blue ink on white card stock before cutting.  I highlighted the sentiment with a slightly larger navy card stock panel and a few sprigs of greenery created with the Fancy Foliage Die.  The blossoms (created with the Ornamental Crosses Die) have a tiny pearl center.  I added a bit of jute under the panel and affixed two die cut keys created from the new die set, Angel Wings.  A bit cleaner design for me.  Definitely brings a smile to my face!  Thanks for stopping by!

WAW131 ~ Micah 7:8 ~ The Lord Shall Be a Light

Welcome!  Thanks so much for stopping by!    It's time for another
fabulous and inspirational challenge at Word Art Wednesday.

Check out the Word Art Wednesday site for all of the details including this week's digital scripture, how to link your creation AND info on some fabulous prizes!

A special thank you to Robyn's Fetish and Heart & Soul Rubber Stamps for providing our prizes this week!  We appreciate your sponsorship so much!

And here is my card for the week featuring a fabulous image from Robyn's Fetish AND a beautiful digi scripture created by my fellow WAW team member Diane Noble.

I printed this fabulous image from Robyn's Fetish on Copic compatible paper and added a few dashes of color.  I then fussy cut the project before adding it to my base.  I used Kraft card stock with DP from My Mind's Eye, Lost and Found Market Street Collection.  I printed the scripture on one of the designs and die cut it to resemble a sun using coordinating prints to create my rays.  I just love this image, don't you?

My sincere apologies for running a bit behind this week.  I thought I had my post ready to "go" on Wednesday but a blogger gremlin had other ideas.  I've been out of town traveling for work and finally was able to handcuff said "gremlin" and get my post out!  Thanks for all of your lovely comments!  I hope you have a blessed week!

So here's the first card featuring
the new stamp set, Holy Angels...

Lots of layers on this one!  I started with a goldenrod colored card stock base and added a black mat.  For this project I used ODBD's Blooming Gardens Paper Collection.  I stamped the wings with a soft gray ink and the sentiment in black (Holy Angels.)  I added a layer of lace and topped it with a black edging die from the Beautiful Borders Die set.  I added greenery (Fancy Foliage Die) with a few mulberry blossoms.  An ecru cross (Ornamental Crosses) is nestled to the side.  I used an older set, Zinnia, to stamp the bee and coordinating Zinnia and Leaves Die to create the bee.  I colored the little guy with Copics and added a dusting of glitter glue for sparkle.

So on to my second project,
which is definitely a bit more "frilly."

This gem starts with a soft lavender card base with white and moss green matting.  I used a beautiful lilac DP print found in the Blooming Garden Collection.  I used the Vintage Flourish Pattern Die with my lavender paper and created a sentiment base.  The sentiment, (Key to Heaven) was stamped with a rich purple ink on white card stock and die cut with the new release, Vintage Labels.  Before removing the die, I lightly sponged the sides with a soft purple ink.  If you look closely you will see a pretty lace edging tucked underneath (Beautiful Borders.)  And look at those angel wings!  WOW!!!  I created these with the new Angel Wings Die.  After cutting, I lightly misted them with Glimmer Mist...  You just can't make out in this photo how amazing they are in real life!  Some greenery Fancy Foliage Die, pearl flourish and mulberry roses polish it all off!

I hope this release just knocked your socks off!  ;-)

Now don't forget to stop and visit my design team sisters!  We love to hear what you are thinking and it's a great way for you to win a chance for an ODBD gift certificate!
