SNTODBD46, Faithfully Yours & a Blog Award...

Happy Thursday! Whew! The week has flown by! I apologize for being so quiet this week. (Or maybe you prefer it that way... lol) I have been a little under the weather and working on the computer has been difficult!

So today I am popping in with two cards! The first is for this week's ODBD Stamping In Time Challenge(SNTODBD46)! The assignment is to use Our Daily Bread Design stamps. The challenge this rotation is all about cards with TAG! T= Thankful, A= Appreciation, G= Grateful. You can use an actual tag, create a card that is thankful, shows appreciation, or conveys gratefulness, or you can combine a tag with the themes. Remember, the more you play the more you increase your chance to win! We look forward to seeing what you create using ODBD stamps! Please make sure to hop over to ODBD's blog to find Mr. Linky and used SNTODBD46 when using online galleries! And make sure to check out what the other Bread Sticks have created! Yummy!!!

And He Shall Be Called

What's in a name? A name tells us something about the person. A woman's maiden name tells you who their father was. A middle name (in my case Kathryn), often is a family name. In this case I was named after my mother's sister, who also shared this middle name. My last name, Ulrich, tells you I married a man with this last name. And finally, Lori, tells you my Mom and Dad decided after toying with Rachel and Lori, that this moniker won out! I'm glad! I'm not so sure I could have lived up to Rachel... lol...

Your name tells you a little about who you are and where you came from. On today's card I used a background stamp which shows the names of Jesus. He is referred to as the Lion of Judah. The Bible tells us he came from the house of Judah. He is referred to as the bridegroom. We also know he awaits his bride (the church.) The Bible refers to him as an anchor, something that grounds us and holds us firm when the storms of life are about to overtake us. Jesus is also called the Door. There is only one way to the Father and that is through Jesus. He is the Lamb of God, the perfect sacrifice. The Son of God who took our punishment. And He is the Alpha and Omega. We know he was there when the earth was created and he will be there when the new earth will come. Wow! We learn so much about our Lord simply by the names the Bible gives him! He is truly the Light of the World!

Thanks so much for taking time to read and share your thoughts. Today's post was recently featured at Faithfully Yours. Blessings to you!

Sunflower Thank You

Happy Thursday to you! So sorry it has taken this long to post. You know that old adage, lightning doesn't strike twice? WRONG! Early Monday morning a lightning bolt hit our home (for the second time in the last three months...) and it blew our satellite dish apart. And I do not kid when I say blew it apart... We found pieces scattered all OVER the backyard. We lost our telephone and telephone service, the dish, an alarm clock... I had no power in my scrap room! EEEKKKK... and my Cricut AND laptop took power surges... Thankfully both had built in surge protectors. I purchased a new cord for my computer today! ***Yeah, I can post!!*** And I am waiting on a replacement cord for my E2... Hopefully that will fix the problem as well!

To make things more chaotic, today we had to take dear hubs to Northern KY for a medical procedure. Prayers were answered! He is doing great and had a wonderful report! God is good all the time! Thanks to Chris Olsen over at ODBD who has been SO WONDERFUL! She has been a God send during this technologically challenged time! ***Big hugs if you are reading this Chris!***

Today's project was inspired by a lovely card in the August edition of Papercrafts. The design (by Julie Campbell) used a medallion. I decided to use the same technique to make a sunflower! It was easy and fun all at the same time! This card is also being featured over at Faithfully Yours. Please take a moment to hop over and see what other ideas Dawn has to share! Blessings to you and I hope you have a wonderful day!
