Marching into Spring with Our Daily Bread Designs

Good morning and welcome to Our Daily Bread Designs' March release and blog hop!  Can you hear the birds singing?  I have even spotted a robin in my backyard.  Spring must be right around the corner, right?  But even if Old Man Winter isn't quite finished with us...  we can hole up in our craft rooms and make some beautiful cards, right?

Today, we have new stamp sets and coordinating dies to share.  Plus, if you check the end of today's post, I will share how you could put your name into the hat for a prize.  So let's get started...

Here is my first card featuring the new Keys to Happiness
stamp set and coordinating Keys Die...

I started with a white card stock base and added a die cut mat using ODBD's Flourished Star Pattern Die and a soft floral print using the Double Stitched Rectangles Die.  I used smaller dies from this set to create my sentiment panel and plaid frame.  I used the Beautiful Borders Die to create my lace border and a bit of seam binding to color the seam.  Gold poster board helped make the keys from Keys Die set an easy proposition.  I stamped the sentiment with a rich cocoa ink slightly off center...  since the rectangular die would be peeking out....

Don't you just love those papers?  Those are from last month's release...
Easter Card Paper Collection and Pastel Paper Pack.  So here are the new items you see used on this project...

My first card was a bit shabby...  so this card is a bit more clean and linear...

For this project, I chose to work with Kraft, Navy blue and a bit of soft blue and white...  a nice color combo for spring...

I used the new Superstar stamp set for my sentiment and framed with ODBD's Splendorous Stars Die.  I used the NEW Double Stitched Stars Die with navy card stock to create my mat.  My faux photo frame is compliments of nesting two dies from the NEW Double Stitched Squares Die.  A few old favorites like the Leafy Edged Borders Die and Pennants Die help add interest.  And check out those itty bitty navy stars stamped right on the paper....  SO CUTE!

For this project I chose a DP from the Blooming Garden Paper Collection and Pastel Paper Collection.  I blended those with my old favorite... Leafy Edged Borders Die.  I just love pulling different collections together like that.

So now here is the information about today's blog hop and how you could win....

Love the gold keys, looks so real! Both cards are great samples for this release! The pennants on the second look like tails to a shooting star.

Loving the look of the white lace cuts with your soft papers and what almost looks like a hook for the keys. Very effective. And also like your bit of softening of the more linear card with the pearls. Was unexpected and a great addition. Super job.

The bad news is that robins show up way too early...LOL!!! I do hope you have an early spring though! Your cards are really pretty! The gold keys are really cool paired with the soft and pretty papers!
