Power Poppy ~ Geraniums ~

This is the first year in a very long time that I have flowers.  Let me clarify...  I have honest to goodness annuals this year...  My perennials have been perking right along the entire time!  :-)  Certain health issues have prevented me from enjoying lovely blossoms outside my home.  This year I have real geraniums...  not artificial ones stuck in a basket to make me feel better about myself...  lol...

**Anyone else here know what I'm talking about?**

So when I saw this digi from Power Poppy I took the leap.  I haven't had a great deal of success in the past coloring digis, even after all of the cajoling, standing on one head and holding aluminum foil in one hand...  Ok...  Maybe I am confusing coloring digis with the TV antennae of yesteryear...  :-)
I am happy to report that this time, my results were much more favorable.  I printed my image on Copic compatible paper (Gina K. Designs to be exact) and sprayed the image with Krylon Matte Finish.  I let it cure for a few days and went to work.  The texture was a tad bit more "rough" but it colored nicely and did not bleed...  WHEW!  All in all, I am pretty tickled with it...  What do you think?

Here's the 411...

Thanks for visiting today!  Keep checking in this week as I share the Wednesday Word Art Challenge Digi Scripture challenge and some fun projects from Our Daily Bread Designs.  Blessings!

And I'm entering this in the Power Poppy of the Week Challenge...  (I hope it is good enough...)

Oh Lori, it's super cute! Love the touch of gingham on the card too - I'm a sucker for that print! Fabulous job at colouring the digi - you did great! Thanks so much for joining us at Power Poppy this week!

It's gorgeous -- both the coloring and design! Love, LOVE it! Great papers with the geraniums. I've never tried spraying before coloring, but I never get around to coloring until the next day, anyway. Print at night, color on coffee breaks... Your results are amazing! I'm so happy you were able to complete this and join our Power Poppy challenge!

Lori, this is about as sweet as it gets. Love your beautifully colored geraniums (I didn't get around to planting annuals this year and it's killing me! Looking forward to fall so I can redeem myself and plant some pansies!), the darling papers you chose, and the great layout! I am so glad you could play along with us this week at Power Poppy! :)
