Fruit, News & a Challenge...

Today's card is for a challenge at Stampin' Sisters in Christ. The ladies have asked participants to create something using a fruit theme! I must say that apples are one of my favs. There must be something to that old saying an apple a day keeps the doctor away. It seems like when I eat apples regularly, I feel better!

My card is a z fold card. The inner panel has some lovely DP showcasing my fruit of choice. The outside features a Cricut cut with one of Our Daily Bread Designs recent releases, Apple Seeds, embossed in gold. I had to put a few black pearls on the corner to kinda mimic seeds. And if you look real close you will see the leaf is crinkled! I had to run it through the crimper... lol...

And here is my apple for the day...

And if you love your Cricut hang on to your stylus! I have been asked to join a fabbo new blog called Exploring Cricut! Each week the ladies will have a challenge for you! But not a traditional challenge! The blog name says it all! We want you to use all those cartridges gathering dust! We will ask you to create projects with a specific cartridge and cut in mind. Sounds like fun huh? The inaugural challenge will begin Monday October 10th! Kinda fitting way to celebrate Columbus Day and his exploration of a new world! Come out and explore some new waters with us! Bookmark this site -

I have not tried the Z fold, but your card is so cute that I am going to give it a try. Love the sentiment, too. Great work.
