Burnished

Today's card is an experiment! And it is late... Not always a good combination! lol I decided a few days ago to create something for a color challenge. Well in the "process" of creating, I fiddled with the card too much and missed the entry deadline... (big sigh)...

And I know there is a lesson I should take from this and while I ponder that, I will show you my card...

The flower is actually made up of 4 satin fabric circles cut with Spellbinders and burnished lightly over a tea light. It makes the edges turn up. (oh so cute) I cut two layers of gold netting using Spellbinders Blossoms Three and placed those underneath. And the very bottom layer... one of my lace collars... I took 8 segments of triangular lace and layered them on a brad to create the base for my flower. A few pearls in the center... a flourish on the DP and one of my favorite sayings from ODBD's recent release, The Good Seed. I'm thinking this would make a lovely yellow daffodil come spring... Well here's hoping you are having a wonderful week and as always blessings to you...
