Sea Salt Technique

Today's post is a little something different. I recently saw a piece in a magazine about creating your own paper designs with salt. I decided to try this technique with a Halloween card. The photo does not show it off. The yellow color is a lovely mottled look. I tried it with black and that REALLY popped! Here is how you do it!

1. Saturate a piece of glossy card stock with ink (for this I used Memento Dew Drops in Canteloupe

2. Spritz the paper with a couple of light mists of water. I used a Mini Mister by Ranger Inks

3. Lightly cover paper with coarse sea salt (I used Morton's)

4. Let paper dry overnight.

5. Brush salt (now colored) off paper and design away! Thanks for looking!
