WAW204 ~ Renewed Day by Day ~

It's the very first Wednesday in October!  And you know what Wednesday means...  it's time for another fabulous, fun and inspirational challenge at Word Art Wednesday.

Be sure to check out the Word Art Wednesday site for all of the details including this week's digital scripture, how to link your creation AND info on some fabulous prizes!
We appreciate our sponsors so very much!  Please take a few moments to thank those who generously provided our prizes this week!

Today our digital scripture features a passage from 2 Corinthians...

I printed my scripture on white card stock and added a red mat.  I used the same red card stock to create my card base (5.5 x 4.25 inches).  I cut a slightly smaller white card stock panel and used a grunge stamp with taupe ink to add depth to the card.  If you look closely, you will see I embossed the same panel with a falling snow design.  I stamped my two step poinsettia on white card stock before fussy cutting and adding with dimensional foam.

Don't forget to stop by Word Art Wednesday to see how you can play along and pick up this fabulous digi scripture image!  Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies

Card Stock - Stampin' Up Real Red, Georgia Pacific White
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Stampin' Up Real Red & Wild Wasabi
Stamps - Stampin' Up - Reason for the Season, Gorgeous Grunge
Embossing Folder - Stampin' Up Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder

WAW190 ~ Fear Not ~

It's time for another fabulous, fun and inspirational challenge

Be sure to check out the Word Art Wednesday site for all of the details including this week's digital scripture, how to link your creation AND info on some fabulous prizes!

We appreciate this week's sponsors so very much!  Please take a few moments to thank those who provided our prizes this week!

This week I decided to go with a bee theme featuring this powerful scripture from the Book of Joel...

I started with a white card stock base measuring 5.5 x 3.5 inches and added a black mat.  I used fun bee themed papers for the base and center panel and printed my scripture panel on white CS.  I stamped the bee image, coloring and die cutting before adding glitter glue to his wings.
It's a clean design this week.  But I sure love the color combo!

I decided to use the MOJO sketch you see here...
https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7biw5TeEm_y_xMhOMGgNNo9lZwdovbWKmqpo95hc3fXb8zUbanr6Ys9PV07hIBJeGAeFstbW1233QpBfiZLGhNZm8Dz_RmjeNFsL9iUSmLdJJdDyIAlO2qMldr8iKu9L8R2-AWYG8kEDx/s1600/Mojo404.gif

I used an ecru card stock base (5.5 x 4.25 inches) with a Kraft mat.  I then pulled coordinating scraps from Prima's Something Blue Paper Collection.  I printed our scripture on one of the panels and added a Prima blossom with die cut greenery and branches.  Super easy!

Power Poppy ~ Geraniums ~

This is the first year in a very long time that I have flowers.  Let me clarify...  I have honest to goodness annuals this year...  My perennials have been perking right along the entire time!  :-)  Certain health issues have prevented me from enjoying lovely blossoms outside my home.  This year I have real geraniums...  not artificial ones stuck in a basket to make me feel better about myself...  lol...

**Anyone else here know what I'm talking about?**

So when I saw this digi from Power Poppy I took the leap.  I haven't had a great deal of success in the past coloring digis, even after all of the cajoling, standing on one head and holding aluminum foil in one hand...  Ok...  Maybe I am confusing coloring digis with the TV antennae of yesteryear...  :-)
I am happy to report that this time, my results were much more favorable.  I printed my image on Copic compatible paper (Gina K. Designs to be exact) and sprayed the image with Krylon Matte Finish.  I let it cure for a few days and went to work.  The texture was a tad bit more "rough" but it colored nicely and did not bleed...  WHEW!  All in all, I am pretty tickled with it...  What do you think?

Here's the 411...

Image - Power Poppy - Geraniums
Papers - Gina K. Designs, Bazzill, Georgia Pacific, American Crafts, Simple Stories Summer Fresh, Pebbles Americana
Inks - Copic - R11, R29, R35; G40, G82, G94;BG000
Flourish - Recollections
Seam Binding, Button, Baker's Twine

Thanks for visiting today!  Keep checking in this week as I share the Wednesday Word Art Challenge Digi Scripture challenge and some fun projects from Our Daily Bread Designs.  Blessings!

And I'm entering this in the Power Poppy of the Week Challenge...  (I hope it is good enough...)

Welcome!  Thanks so much for stopping by!    It's time for another
fun and inspirational challenge at Word Art Wednesday.
Check out the Word Art Wednesday site for all of the details including this week's digital scripture, how to link your creation AND info on some fabulous prizes!

And a very special thank you to the Dorcerela Stamps and Really Reasonable Ribbon!  These fabulous companies provided our prizes this week!

This week we are visiting scripture from the Old Testament, specifically Psalms...

I used coordinating designer paper by Crate Paper (Style Board) and a base of pale pink with black card stock matting.  I used a velvet rick rack to help cover a seam and printed my scripture directly on some musical themed DP from the collection.  I hand cut it to create a banner.  The pearl flourish (Queen & Co.) took a few nips and tucks to create the flourish I wanted.  I used dies from Our Daily Bread Designs to create the beautiful pink "aster" and pale green foliage.  I hope you are as taken with the design as I am!  Until next time...

Blessings...

fabulous and inspirational challenge at Word Art Wednesday.

A special thank you to Eureka Stamps and My Craft Spot for graciously providing our prizes this week.

This week our scripture may be found in the  book of John.  In this passage, Jesus proclaims who he is in no uncertain terms...

This week, I printed the sentiment panel on white card stock and layered it over coordinating spring designer papers.  A doily (Wilton) is nestled underneath with some die cut greenery and white blossoms close by.  I added a few gold microbeads to each blossom for added interest.  Thank you as always for spending a few moments of  your day with me.  Stop back by later this week to see a lovely card celebrating the resurrection of our Lord and Savior.  Until then,

Blessings...

I have long wanted to work with zebra print paper.  This week I decided to take the plunge!  The base is simple black card stock with a candy pink mat layer, Kraft and a final zebra print DP.  I printed this week's scripture directly on Kraft before adding a layer of black and pink.  I added three jet flat backed beads in the corner to balance out the greenery and pink roses.  Isn't it fun?

I know a fabulous college freshman who will enjoy this card of encouragement!  Thanks for dropping by!  Be sure to hop over to Word Art Wednesday to enter this week's challenge!

WAW86 & MOJO299 ~ His Workmanship ~

Welcome and Happy Wednesday!  The week has flown by and today it's time for another fabulous challenge at Word Art Wednesday .  Check out the WAW site for all the details including this week's digital scripture image, how to link your creation AND info on our fabulous prizes!

A big thank you to both Cheery Lynn Designs and Scripture by Design for providing prizes this week!

This week we are using Ephesians 2:10...

This time I chose to use a sketch.  I matted my scripture panel on red card stock and nestled it over a Spellbinder die embellished with pearls.  I used baker's twine as a ribbon element and added a blossom with die cut leaves, punched twigs and a strategically placed pearl flourish.  The base is plain white card stock with red for a pop of color.  The DP are coordinating mint green and orange selections that I felt complement the floral design.  So what do you think?

Don't forget to hop over to Word Art Wednesday to play!  Thanks again and see you next week!

Word Art Wednesday ~ Philemon 4:6-7

Welcome!  Thank you for stopping by.  It's time for another  inspirational challenge at Word Art Wednesday .  Check out the WAW site for all the details including this week's digital scripture image, how to link your creation AND info on our fabulous prizes!  Thank you to Crafty Secrets for sponsoring this week's challenge!  Take a peek at my card and you will see a couple of fabulous floral images from their digital collection!  :-)

This week we are using Philemon 4:6-7...

I chose to mat the images and scripture in black.  I printed the scripture on plain white card stock and used chalk (blue & yellow) to highlight the words prayer and thanksgiving.  I lightly colored some of the other words with chalk as well.  I love the clean lines of this one.  Definitely a switch for me.  What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by and a special thanks to Craft Secrets for allowing us to use some of their fabulous images this week!  Blessings....

Word Art Wednesday ~ 2 Thessalonians 3:3 ~

Good morning and welcome to another fun and inspirational challenge at Word Art Wednesday .  Check out the WAW site for all the details including this week's digital scripture image, how to link your creation AND info on our fabulous prizes!  Thank you to V's Sweet Ideas  for sponsoring this week's challenge!

This has been a challenging week physically and emotionally at the Ulrich house.  Mr. Graves (Graves Disease) has kicked into high gear again and I am awaiting test results to determine the course of action.  I covet your continued prayers as we deal with this and decide what my physicians will do.  I know the Great Physician can heal anything as long as it is in His will....  My dear, sweet husband will be going through surgery as well in the coming month.  (We are just a mess...  lol...)  Please remember us both.

I do want to share a praise!  God allowed His most tender mercies this week.  I was physically unable to make anything...  frustrating to say the least!  My team member and prayer warrior, Karen, took time to lift up my problems and God answered!  I was able to put something together after struggling so mightily to even get off the couch!  Praise be to God!  He always provides!  So here it is using a wonderfully appropriate scripture from 2 Thessalonians...

I opted to use this week's Mojo Sketch for my inspiration with some coordinating papers by American Crafts.  I printed the verse directly on DP trimming and matting it with Kraft paper.  A seam binding bow and wooden button add to the rustic feel.  The papers remind me of a beautiful quilt in Grandmother's trunk.  So pretty!  Thanks for stopping in and until next time...  Blessings...

WAW80 ~ Isaiah 40:29 ~

Good morning and welcome to another fun and inspirational challenge at Word Art Wednesday .  Check out the WAW site for all the details including this week's digital scripture image, how to link your creation AND info on our fabulous prizes!  Thank you to Heart & Soul Rubber Stamps  and Digi Darla's  for sponsoring this week's challenge.

Here's a clean and simple card I created this week using a wonderfully uplifting verse from the book of Isaiah.  I struggle with simple cards and this particular verse gave me courage...

I opted to go with a Kraft base, a light olive card stock and white distressed scripture base.  I printed this week's scripture directly on the white card stock panel and embellished it with a die cut branch and hand crafted dogwood blossom.  I think the scripture says it all, don't you?  Thanks for stopping in and until next time...

Blessings...

This week we are inspired by those wonderful and Godly women in our lives, whether they gave us life, mentored us spiritually or BOTH!  How many of you know some wonderful Proverbs' 31 ladies?  Let's hear it for the women who helped mold and shape us!!!

Here's my card featuring this week's verse, Proverbs 31:10...

I found this fabulous tutorial on how to create a sunburst pattern out of scraps at Operation Write Home.  This organization takes homemade cards and distributes them to soldiers who then send them to friends or family.  It's a wonderful cause!  If you have a chance to check them out please do!  Plus they have some awesome tutorials...    This tutorial is perfect for using up all those leftovers you having lying around.  I used some from a project last week!

Clearly Digital Stamps ~ Little Bethlehem ~

Taking a few moments today to work with some fabulous digis by Clearly Digital Stamps (Clear Dollar Stamps.)  With Christmas on the horizon, you just can't have TOO MANY cards, right?  And this color image fits the bill nicely.

My card using CDS's Little Bethlehem digi...

A corner punch, hemp twine and brads let a masculine feel to this card. If you look closely you will see I added just a bit of Ranger Distress ink (black soot) to the edges. As always thanks for stopping in and until next time... blessings...

Clear Dollar Stamps ~ Just Like a Snowglobe ~

Kentucky has some of the most beautiful rolling hillsides you will ever see.  The views vary depending on exactly what part of the state you visit.  I grew up in the outer bluegrass region, a lush area which gives way to the Knobs region.

Recently Fleming County, hosted a covered bridge festival.  Fleming County is know as the Covered Bridge Capital of Kentucky.

When Clear Dollar Stamps released this digital set, Covered Bridges, I had to go to work!
I selected a serene Christmas scene and created a shaker card.  It kinda reminds me of a beautiful snow globe...

And the inside...

I think I might just starting humming a Christmas carol... Thanks for stopping by!

Blessings...

Clear Dollar Stamps Digi September Release ~

Good morning!  So glad to see you!

I have some special news to share.  For the next few months (4 to be exact)  I will be working with and sharing some new items.  I have joined the Clear Dollar Stamps Digital Crew!

What is a digital?  I'm trying my hand at working with digital stamps, or those you print right off of your PC and create with.  You can manipulate sizes and colors...  They are so versatile!  And that makes your creative possibilities endless!  So to celebrate the occasion, I have a few projects to share using a couple of new September releases.  Be sure to check out the CDS Blog and Clear Dollar Stamps website to find details on how to purchase plus a fabulous tutorial on working with Digis...  I look forward to sharing more wonderful digi stamps of faith from Clear Dollar...  So let's dive in...

For my first card I selected Lori McCroskey's Leaves set...

Isn't it darling!  I printed the digital background with the lovely inspirational message and cut/embossed it with a Spellbinders die.  I added a bit of dark brown card stock cut with the coordinating Petite Scalloped die.  The maple leaf (also a digi from this set) was altered to give it a warm orange color and hand cut before placing it on top with dimensional foam.  The DP layer was lightly distressed on all edges and inked for depth.  I just love this image!  So simple and so very elegant!

Now for another peek...  This one uses Austin Owen's Garden set.

This one is so yummy!  I can't get enough of inspirational quotes and C.S. Lewis is one of my favorite authors.  So this set immediately grabbed my eye and my heart!  The base is 6 x 6 inches and is double matted.  The houndstooth pattern actually came from a Halloween paper pad.  I really like the menwear feel of it...  I printed the sentiment and flower border on white card stock and trimmed.  I added a bit of bling with a dash of Stickles glitter glue on the three blossoms and a silver flat backed adhesive pearl on each.  So easy!

Be sure to check out the other fabulous projects my DT sisters have to share!  There is so much to share!  Thanks for stopping by!

Blessings....
