ODBD ~ Hello, Easter Blessings ~

Happy Monday morning!  As we enter one of the holiest weeks on the Christian calendar, I have a card to share featuring a stamp set from Our Daily Bread Designs' March release.  I chose to work with the new set, Happy Resurrection Day.

and the stamp set I used shown below...

HAPPY RESURRECTION DAY - H623

I began with a 5.5 x 4.25 inch white card stock base and used the Vintage Flourish Pattern Die to create a soft buttery yellow die overlay and white focal panel.  After cutting out the white focal panel I positioned the Hello Die to cut out the shadow and used a scrap of yellow to cut out the word a second time and position it inside the original white die cut.  This was particularly tricky, since I had to keep up with the tiny white pieces inside the E and O...

Do you hear the Old McDonald tune in your head too????  :-)

I stamped the sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a bit of white CS and used ODBD's Vintage Labels Die to highlight it.  A bit of greenery created with the Fancy Foliage Die adorned with mulberry roses adds just a touch of spring to the bottom right hand side.

So here are a few of the additional ODBD items you see today...

VINTAGE LABEL DIES - CSBD55

FANCY FOLIAGE DIES - CSBD33

Don't forget to stop back by Wednesday!  ODBD will have the new April sets ready for release!  I can't wait to show them off!  I know you will love them too!

And what is even better than matching up the perfect project with your besties?  Just for commenting on the Design Team Blog Posts, you have a chance to win a $10 NCC Gift Certificate, good towards the purchase of NCC Stamps. You have until March 27, 2015 at 10:00 PM EDT to leave a comments on the participating designers blogs for a chance to win! Two random winners will be selected from the comments left on the designers blogs, the winners will be announced on the NCC Blog on March 28, 2015!  SO be sure to check back there to see if you have won!

So here is the first project featuring the new set,

I stamped the sentiment on white card stock twice.  I hand cut the top layer and added it to the original panel with dimensional foam.  It makes it look like a real banner!

And here's a better look at the sentiment panel along with the circles (created with Our Daily Bread Designs' Matting Circles Dies and the lovely faux lace from ODBD's Beautiful Borders Die set.

I know that many of you love shabby/chic projects!  But sometimes I like to see projects that are a little more clean and simple.  And when I saw this stamp set, Warm My Heart, I knew the paper crimper would come out of retirement!

I stamped my sentiment on white card stock before using Our Daily Bread Designs' Pennant Die to create the banner.  I stamped the coffee container image and heart separately, coloring each and fussy cutting them.  I added the heart on top (with dimensional foam) and added it to the crimped Kraft layer.  I just love this one too!

So here are the new items from NCC you see today...
See why I had to pull out the paper crimper?

WAW176 ~ Psalm 18:46 ~ Blessed Be My Rock

It's time for another fabulous, fun and inspirational challenge

Be sure to check out the Word Art Wednesday site for all of the details including this week's digital scripture, how to link your creation AND info on some fabulous prizes!

We appreciate this week's sponsors so very much!  This week we are excited to have Really Reasonable Ribbon AND Artisttic Adventures (Heather Hudson/Etsy Shop) sharing prizes with us!  Please take a few moments to thank those who provided our prizes this week!

This week we are getting our thoughts and minds prepared for the Easter season.  So this time we are visiting the book of Psalms and celebrating the most awesome gift our Savior gave...

So this week, I printed our digi scripture on Kraft paper and decided to tear the paper to resemble my own paper rock!  I started with a black card stock base (measuring 5.5 x 4.25 inches) and added a mat white CS layer.  I wanted a DP pattern to mimic a garden (picture Gethsemane) and cut it slightly smaller than the white matting.  I added my faux rock with dimensional foam and added one tiny yellow mulberry rose with paper punched twigs and leaves!  Super simple!  This one may be mass produced for people at my church!

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to create a project and link it up on the Word Art Wednesday page!  Thanks again!

ODBD ~ He is Risen!

Good morning!  I hope you are having a wonderful start to your week.  Monday started a bit rocky for me.  My alarm was 45 minutes off...  and so I was nearly late to work.  I spent 20 minutes rushing to shower, dry my hair, apply makeup, take vitamins and find just the right outfit.  It was a crazy, mad rush to say the least!  However, even with a very rough start to the day, I managed to walk in my office on time and amazingly accomplished every single task I needed to do that morning before arriving at work.  (Except, for remembering my security card...  lol)...  It just goes to show that even in the craziness of life we can stay focused and get the task at hand done.

So this Easter, my goal is to stay focused on what really matters...  the cross, the empty tomb, the nail scarred hands and feet...  It is through our Savior's sacrifice that we may live eternally...  AND that my friends is definitely worth keeping sight of.

Blessings...

Today's project featuring Our Daily Bread Designs' Happy Resurrection Day set...

 HAPPY RESURRECTION DAY - H623

I started with a purple card stock base measuring 5.5 x 4.25 inches.  I added a white mat (embossed with a quatrefoil design) and added a royal purple die cut panel (Vintage Label Dies).  I layered up a white cross die (found in ODBD's Ornamental Crosses Die).  I stamped the sentiment with a coordinating purple ink before using the Pennant Die to frame it.  A few mulberry blossoms rest on the corner with greenery and twigs created using the Fancy Foliage Die.  So what do you think?  How have you been reminded of our Savior's love for us?

It's time for another fabulous, fun and inspirational challenge

Be sure to stop by the Word Art Wednesday site for all of the details including this week's digital scripture, how to link your creation AND info on some fabulous prizes!

We appreciate our sponsors and their generosity!  This week we are pleased to have Classy Cards 'N Such along with Eureka Digi Stamps as sponsors!  Please take a few moments to thank both of our fabulous sponsors this week!

Since our digital scripture, I opted to pull out a horse image I have in my stash...

I started with an ecru card stock base and black CS matting.  I thought the chicken wire DP fit the image nicely.  I stamped the image on Neenah Solar Crest using a Memento Rich Cocoa ink and colored it with Copics.  I sponged in a bit of Memento Summer Sky before using a Spellbinder die to cut it out and creating a scalloped background.  I printed our digi scripture on white card stock and cut it down to create a simple banner.

Thanks again for stopping by!  I hope you have a wonderful and blessed week!

Welcome to the Anniversary Blog Hop at Our Daily Bread Designs!

Welcome!  Grab a cup of joe and settle in because today we are having an Anniversary Party!  Our Daily Bread Designs celebrates 7 years of doing business!  And to mark this milestone, seven randomly selected winners will each receive one of the new ODBD Anniversary stamp sets just for commenting on the Design Team cards!  You have until March 19, 2015 at 9:00 p.m. EDT to leave your comments on the Designers Blogs for a chance to win!  The Winners will be posted on the ODBD Blog on March 20th, so be sure to check back there to see if you won!

Did you notice, I mentioned NEW Anniversary stamp sets?  Yep, you heard right.  ODBD has a special release (2 stamps sets) to mark this milestone.  And I am pleased as punch to share them with you.  My first project (or pink palooza) features the new set, God Verses.

Today's card measures 5.5 x 4.25 inches.  I started with a white card stock base and added a soft pink layer using ODBD's Flourished Star Pattern Die.  I added a soft rose paper from the Shabby Rose Paper Collection and chose soft gingham and wicker weave print (also from this collection) for my layers.  A bit of faux lace compliments of the Beautiful Borders Die peeks out from behind the wicker DP with just a sprinkle of pink adhesive backed pearls for glitz.  I die cut my scripture panel with ODBD's Pennant Die and added a flourish of DP blossoms created with the Asters and Leaves Die set.  And a fancy flourish isn't complete without greenery created with the Fancy Foliage Die and a fun pink pearl flourish layered up for added interest.

So here's the new God Verses set...

But there is more!  I told you there were TWO sets...
So here is my second card featuring the new God Quotes set...

This time, I started with a black card stock base (5.5 x 4.25 inches) and added a white mat.  This card features some beautiful chalkboard DP from ODBD's Chalkboard Paper Collection.  I chose to stamp my sentiment on a clean white panel and accent it with a blinged out star (created by nesting two die from the Sparkling Stars Die.  After cutting the star out of chipboard, I added white paint, distress crackle and a bit of crystal coarse glue.  A tiny mulberry rose and greenery from the Fancy Foliage Die fill out the additional space.

So here's the new set...

And here are a few of the other ODBD products you see today...

ODBD ~ Happiness Through Your Door ~

Welcome!  Top of the mornin' to ya!  Do you know that according to data from a 2011 Census 35 MILLION people in the United States claim Irish ancestry???  That means 11% of the ENTIRE population of the United States claim Irish roots!  And it's no wonder!  I have been guilty of a t-shirt or two that sport such phrases as "kiss me, I'm Irish..."  ;-)
It is just plain fun to sport some shade of green, sing silly songs and eat green eggs!  (Well, maybe I'm pushing the envelope with the green eggs thing...)  You are totally with me, right???  And just for the record, I REALLY do have a bit of Irish in me.  A great-great-great-(WHEW, I know there are a whole bunch of those) grandfather came over from Dublin in 1774.  He was a lace maker by trade and came to the colonies to seek his fortune.  Eventually, he fought honorably in the American Revolution and as his reward received a land grant in the unknown wilds of Kentucky...  How cool is that?  So yes, these IRISH EYES are smilin'!

In honor of St. Patrick's Day, Our Daily Bread Designs' came up with a fabulous set appropriately named St. Patrick's Day.  Here's a card using that very set.

And now that you are humming "O Danny Boy..." here's the set...

H615 - ST. PATRICK'S DAY

I started with a 5.5 by 4.25 inch white card stock base and added a kelly green mat.  I cut a slightly smaller white card stock panel and scored it on the diagonal every inch.  I inked up the tiny shamrock stamp and using a positioning tool stamped my shamrock in the middle of each panel.  (This part takes a great bit of patience.  And yes, I had to walk away a few times to keep my eyes from crossing...)  I chose a beautiful gold card stock to die cut my base (think pot of gold) and fussy cut the sentiment panel after stamping the Celtic frame and sentiment.  Both layers have a bit of dimensional foam under them for added depth.  I finished up by placing a tiny adhesive backed pearl at each scored intersection.

And here's a few of the older items I used including my golden layer, a fun favorite of mine...

~ May Your Troubles Be Less ~

Good Friday morning!  I hope you are having a wonderful start to your day!  We are digging out from another major snowstorm.  As I write this, we have 12 inches on the ground and expect more throughout the day.  It is beautiful to look out but quite the challenge when you need to get to work!

So with St. Patrick's Day around the bend and hopefully the arrival of spring, I decided to work on something showing a "bit of green."  This project features Our Daily Bread Designs' March release St. Patrick's Day.

I started with a Kelly Green card stock base (5.5 x 4.25 inches) and added a white mat.  The white mat features an image from ODBD's Life is a Gift set stamped with Memento's Bamboo Leaves ink and soft scalloped clouds created by sponging Memento's Summer Sky and London Fog ink around a paper punched scallop.  I added another Kelly Green CS layer this time using ODBD's dies nested together, Vintage Flourish Pattern and Vintage Labels.  I then cut another layer with gold CS.  I used trimming scissors to cut out just the frame (from the second nested gold die cut) and glued it to the green base layer.  I stamped the sentiment (from St. Patrick's Day) with black ink directly on my image panel.  A few shamrocks (stamped and fussy cut from St. Patrick's Day) adorn the spray and sentiment panel.  A bit of foliage (Fancy Foliage Die) dress up the mulberry rose spray.

So here are the items you see from the March release...

H615 - ST. PATRICK'S DAY

H609 - LIFE IS A GIFT

and some classics...

Hope you are staying warm and toasty where you are!
Hugs and blessings...
