~ Music is an Outburst ~

It's hard to believe another month has past by.  Can you believe that February is almost here?  Today, I have one final card featuring the January release at Our Daily Bread Designs.

I started with a black card stock base (5.5 x 4.25 inches) and added a white mat layer using the Vintage Labels Die set to cut out the middle.  The Chalkboard Paper Collection creates a wonderful overlay along with the Vintage Flourish Pattern Die.  I added a beautiful die cut red heart with ODBD's Ornate Hearts Die and dimensional foam.  The image and both sentiment may be found in the January release, Sing Thy Grace.  I nestled a bit of greenery behind the layers with the Fancy Foliage Die set.

Here's the products you see including this month's Sing Thy Grace

~ Welcome Baby ~

Good morning!  Today's card features a classic image from Our Daily Bread Designs called Noah's Ark.  I created this card for a recent baby shower.  Since the Momma-to-be is expecting a boy, I thought blue along with this image would be perfect!

I started with a rich brown card stock base (5.25 x 5.25 inches) and added a soft blue card stock mat.  I stamped my image (Rich Cocoa by Memento) on Copic compatible paper and colored my image.  I sponged Memento’s Summer Sky and Flannel Gray Ink around the image to mimic a rainy day.  I used a decorative die to create the frame and cut out the focal image from my DP.  A few springs of die cut greenery (Fancy Foliage Die) behind the ribbon die panel and sentiment finish it off.  I hope the recipient will enjoy it!  Thanks for stopping by!

~ Tune My Heart ~

Good afternoon and thank you so very much for stopping by!  Today I have a quick post to share featuring a card with the new Sing Thy Grace set from Our Daily Bread Designs.  I chose to stamp the image and sentiment on plain white card stock, color the image and add some very simple DP layers and ribbon.  I really wanted my image and sentiment to say it all.

And the set that inspired it all...

WAW168 ~ Thy Soul ~

It's time for another fabulous, fun and inspirational challenge

Be sure to stop by the Word Art Wednesday site for all of the details including this week's digital scripture, how to link your creation AND info on some fabulous prizes!

We appreciate our sponsor's generosity so very much!  Please take a few moments to thank those who provided our prizes this week as well!

This week I chose another sketch from Mojo Monday.

I started with a black card stock base (5.5 x 4.25 inches) and added a light ecru mat.  I chose my vintage feel papers from Graphic 45's A Lady's Diary Collection.  Each layer of DP is distressed with ink (Antique Linen, Pumice Stone and Tea Dye) before adding.  I printed this week's scripture passage on ecru CS and used a heart shaped die from ODBD to highlight it.  I added a hand inked seam binding bow with a tiny mulberry rose.  Sigh...  I really am starting to appreciate pink!  lol

Here's the die I used that you may find HERE...

A Look Back at Our Daily Bread Designs' January Release

Today we are taking a look back at Our Daily Bread Designs' January Release.  Here is the card I created using the January release Just a Note along with some older favorites. For more inspiration using the January Release be sure to visit the ODBD Blog.

I began with a soft blue card stock base (5.5 x 4.25 inches) and added a navy mat.  The designer paper is from the Patriotic Paper Collection.  I stamped the image twice on Neenah Solar Crest and colored the images with my Copics.  I cut the treble note out of the second image and added it to the base after die cutting the panel with Antique Labels and Borders Die.  I nestled it on top of a die cut doily (Doily Die) and added flowers created with the Ornamental Crosses Die and greenery from Fancy Foliage Die.  A tiny dollop of liquid pearl paint in the flower centers finishes each off.

Here are the additional products you see today...

Never Stop Dancing

I must admit, I have two left feet.  Even though, I imagine I have rhythm...  the casual observer would snicker and shake their head at my lack of coordination.  And that is why I LOVE the sentiment on this set from Our Daily Bread Designs.  I can dance in my heart!  And those moves are perfectly beautiful!

Here's our project for the day featuring the new stamp set, Music Speaks...

and a photo of the fabulous set...

I chose a black card stock base (5.5 x 4.25 inches).  I used distress inks (Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade) to create the warm skies.  I die cut a circle with ODBD's Circle Ornaments Die and used it to mask my sun (after lightly covering the entire piece of white card stock with the soft yellow).  I finished the piece by stamping the image and positioning the sentiment where I liked it.  It's a very simple piece and very easy to replicate.  Perfect for when you need a whole bunch of cards!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

WAW166 & MOJO379 ~ Psalm 143:8 ~

It's time for another fabulous, fun and inspirational challenge

Be sure to check out the Word Art Wednesday site for all of the details including this week's digital scripture, how to link your creation AND info on some fabulous prizes!

We appreciate our sponsor's generosity so very much!  Please take a few moments to thank those who provided our prizes this week!

This week we have a powerful verse from the book of Psalms...

Today's card incorporates a sketch from Mojo Monday.  I used an ecru card stock for the base and embossed layer.  I also printed this week's scripture on ecru as well.  I framed each vintage panel (Prima's Stationer's Desk Paper Pad) with a rich red card stock.  A fun buffalo check ribbon and button finish it off.

Here's the sketch...

Thanks for stopping by!  Hoping you have a wonderful day!

A Look Back at North Coast Creations' December Release

Today we are taking a look back at North Coast Creations' December Release.  I created two cards using both of the new sets, I Dig You and Dump Truck Birthday.  For more inspiration using the December Release be sure to visit the NCC Blog .  So let's jump right in and check out a couple of "boy friendly" cards!

I chose to use a simple buffalo check DP from my stash along with black card stock matting.  I stamped the image on Copic compatible paper and colored my tractor red.  I fussy cut the entire image including the back tire.  ( I popped it out with dimensional foam for interest.)  I cut a small white CS panel and used a scallop punch piece of paper and inked a summer sky ink around the edges.  It resembles clouds!  I used a sponge and green inks to create the grass bottom.  A few torn sticky notes strategically placed, helped give it a realistic look.  After placing the tractor and "wheel" I stamped the sentiment in black.  :-)
And here's the set I used to create this super fun card!

So what if tractors don't inspire your little guy?  What about dump trucks?  This project has a birthday vibe as well.

This card measures 5.25 x 5.25 inches and features a triple mat.  I chose green, white and a steel gray to mimic the colors in my truck.  For the focal panel, I pulled out a nice green and white polka dot DP for interest.  I fussy cut the truck and sponged my main panel again using the scallop with sponged ink technique.  I also used sticky notes for the sand/dirt but decided to create a more uniform look.  I stamped the sign on white paper and used a yellow Copic to color it.  I fussy cut it and added the sentiment panel (with dimensional foam) in a matching ink.  I can't decide which one I like best!  :-)
So here's the set you see here...
As always, I enjoy sharing a few moments of your day!  I hope you were "ink"spired!  :-)  Don't forget to visit my fellow Design Team members (AKA the Coasters) for more inspiration!  Thanks again!

~ A Certain Green Tractor ~

Today, I have a fun  card using one of my grandson's favorite tractor color combos... yellow and green!  This card will go to a young man who appreciates anything farm related.  Thankfully, he doesn't have a particular affinity for a brand of tractor...  Whew!  Hopefully he will like it!

I stamped the image on Copic compatible paper.  I chose black card stock for the base (5.5 x 4.25 inches) and added a goldenrod matting before my field of green.  I fussy cut the tractor (after coloring) taking care to cut the back tire separately.  I added a white fence die (from Our Daily Bread Designs ) and hand cut my sentiment.

Here is the darling image and sentiment from North Coast Creations' December release.

and the Fence Die from NCC's sister company, North Coast Creations.

Please stop back by tomorrow for a fun look back at NCC's December release.  And later this week, I have some projects from the January release from Our Daily Bread Designs to share!  It promises to be a great week!  Blessings...
