A Look Back at ODBD's March Release

Today we are taking a look back at Our Daily Bread Designs' March Release.  Here is the card I created for today using Sweeter Than Honey, Zinnia, Beautiful Borders Die (an older release), Zinnia and Leaves Die and the new Blooming Garden Paper Collection

Today's card incorporated a sketch along with two coordinating DP's from the new Blooming Gardens Paper Collection.  The card base is a warm yellow with a double layer of ecru and pink card stock.  A lacy die cut (Beautiful Borders Die) rests under the skewed panel with sentiment.  I colored the honey jar with Copics and after fussy cutting added a bit of pink and white Baker's twine.  The honey bees came from the Zinnia and Bee Happy sets.  The Zinnia set has a coordinating Zinnia and Leaves Die set which makes cutting the bee a breeze.  But to show the versatility, I opted to hand cut the one from the Bee Happy set.  A bit of dimensional foam and some glitter glue...  so FUN!

Here's the ODBD products I used...

Thanks for spending a few moments of your day here!!

~ The Ends of the Earth ~

Welcome to my little corner of the world!  I hope this post finds you well.  Things have been busy around here as I prepare for the end of the work week.
Today I have a simple card featuring a stamp and die set from Our Daily Bread Designs' March release along with a stamp from the new Anniversary Release.
If you haven't had a chance to check them out please do.  The designer paper is also from an Our Daily Bread Designs product, the Blooming Garden Paper Collection.

I stamped the sentiment (Scripture Collection 12) directly on the DP.  The card base is white card stock with a double layer of moss green and sunflower yellow.  The zinnias (Zinnia stamp set) were stamped on Copic compatible paper and colored a soft yellow and pale lavender.  I staggered the images with dimensional foam and added die cut leaves (Zinnia and Leaves Die).

Here are the ODBD products I used...

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Don't forget to pay a visit tomorrow as the Our Daily Bread Design Team will revisit the March release.  It promises to be a great day!

Blessings...

WAW124 ~ Psalm 17:15 ~

Welcome!  It's time for another
inspirational challenge at Word Art Wednesday.

Check out the Word Art Wednesday site for all of the details including this week's digital scripture image, how to link your creation AND info on our fabulous prizes!

A special thank you to the Verses Rubber Stamps and Deedee's Digis for graciously providing our prizes this week.   And an extra shout out to Deedee's for providing a beautiful image for me to work with this week called Cup of Joy.

And this week, I am blessed to share our scripture digi taken from the book of Psalms...

I chose to print my image (Deedee's Cup of Joy) and the scripture on white card stock.  I used a Spellbinder die (Gold Labels Four) to cut and emboss the panel.  My base is simple white card stock with a layer of lavender card stock.  I embossed another white panel with a chevron (Darice) EF from my stash before adding the sentiment panel.  Do you see the purple sponging?  I also added a lavender seam binding bow and a few pearls to the die cut.  So fun!  I love working with spring colors!

Thanks for joining me this week!  Until next time...  blessings!

Happy 6th Anniversary Our Daily Bread Designs!

Good morning dear friends!  I have a very special celebration to share.  This month, Kelley and Rick Holland, celebrate 6 years of creating beautiful and inspirational stamps at Our Daily Bread Designs.  It is an honor to work for such a wonderful family and I am blessed to have made so many fabulous friends on this journey!  Happy Anniversary to Kelley, Rick and Our Daily Bread Designs!  Here's to many more to come!

Now you can't have an anniversary without a party!  So to celebrate we are having a blog hop!  Three winners will be randomly chosen from the comments left on the designers' blogs.  They will receive a $25 Gift Certificate to the ODBD store to be used toward the purchase of ODBD stamps.  ONE LUCKY commenter will be randomly chosen to win the 2014 ANNIVERSARY BUNDLE!!!!!  You have until March 18, 2014 at 9:00PM EDT to leave your comments!  The winners will be posted on the ODBD blog on March 19th.  Be sure to check there to see if you have won!

Each year the team submits a quote, sentiment or scripture that speaks to our heart.  Kelley and crew go to work creating a stamp with the chosen words.  I selected a scripture from the book of Mark that comforts my heart when times are tough...

I used a couple of layers of pink card stock before adding some lovely designer paper from ODBD's Heart and Soul Collection.  Several layers of white and pink die cuts nestle under the sentiment panel.  A few mulberry roses garnish the side and if you look closely you will see a few pearls scattered around the corners.

For my second project I chose a lovely sentiment chosen by one of my team members from the book of Psalms and included in this lovely collection...

This time I chose a deep pink card stock to coordinate with designer papers from ODBD's Heart and Soul Collection.  Look closely and you will see the Quatrefoil Pattern Die and another classic image Grow in Grace.  I fussy cut bits of a second stamping of the dogwood image and glued them onto the first die cut.  It gives the illusion of the flower going off the page.

Here's a closer look.  See the Flower Soft centers?

Here are some of the other products I used along with the Scripture Collection 12 set.

ODBD ~ A Friend ~

Good Friday morning!!  Thanks for taking a few moments out of your day to drop by.  Things are busy here.  I've spent several days this week on the road traveling with my job and as such haven't had as much time to craft.  :-(  I do want to share a card I created using some of the new releases at Our Daily Bread Designs.  If you haven't had a chance to check this new collection out, please do!  I love harbingers of spring and you know when flower stamps come out...  it MUST be on it's way!

I started with a white card stock base (4.25 x 5.5) and added a distressed DP from ODBD's Blooming Garden Paper Collection.  I bet you didn't know that ODBD ventured into designer paper.  And the beauty of each collection...  they coordinate with the ODBD stamps I have!  Now that makes crafting SO easy!
I then added a die cut using ODBD's Daisy Chain Background Die.  The layered Zinnia was colored with Copics and die cut using the Zinnia and Leaves Die.  You can also find the cute lady bug die on that same set!  I stamped my sentiment on white CS and used ODBD's Antique Labels and Border Die to frame it.  Now if those daffodils would just peek their pretty little yellow heads out...  ***sigh***

Here's a look at the products I used

Thanks again for stopping by!  Don't forget to visit in the coming days as I have a new release to share for North Coast Creations.  It promises to be fun!

Welcome!  It's time for another
inspirational challenge at Word Art Wednesday.

A special thank you to the Flying Unicorn, My Creative Classroom and Docerela Stamps for graciously providing our prizes this week.

This week we travel to the Old Testament, specifically the book of Ecclesiastes...

For today's card, I chose to use an apple green color with white card stock.  I used a lovely daisy chain die on the bottom and added a few scattered pearls.  I printed the sentiment on white and matted it before placing it slightly askew on the panel.  A stamped and Copic colored die cut bee finishes it off!  I can't wait for spring!  How about you?

Until next time...
 Blessings

FS370 ~ Let Friendship Bloom ~

Good morning!  Today's card is for the weekly Featured Stamper challenge at Splitcoast.  The Featured Stamper this week is Mynnette!  She has a wonderful gallery that you can admire HERE.  I chose one of the Floral Sentiment sets from North Coast Creations and went to work.

I stamped the image with Memento's Desert Sand on white card stock and added a rich sentiment with Espresso Truffle.  I die cut the image with a Spellbinder die found in the Office Supplies set and matted it with a distressed brown and vanilla DP.  I added both with dimensional foam to the white CS base and added a deep coffee colored ribbon!  So easy!  I love quick cards that I can add to my stash.  Thanks for reading and stopping by!

FS369 ~ Blue Hawaii ~

Happy Saturday!  It is a beautiful day here in the bluegrass state.  I took the opportunity to mop my floors, do some grocery shopping and clean my car!  And even though I am just a little tired, it was well worth it!  I hope this day finds you doing the things that matter to you.

Today I am sharing a card I created to for the Featured Stamper challenge at Splitcoast.  I used a simple blue and white color scheme, embossing the focal mat with a "Hawaiian" themed embossing folder..."  Now, if I were only soaking up the sun on the beautiful beaches there...  **sigh**

I inked the sentiment in Memento's Danube Blue and framed the sentiment panel with some lovely blossoms from my stash.  The ladybug stamp may be found in this month's Our Daily Bread Designs release, Zinnia.  And the lovely scripture may be found in ODBD's Bee Happy set.  Aren't they yummy???

A Look Back at North Coast Creations' Latest Release

Today we are taking a look back at North Coast Creations' February Release!  Here is the card project I created using NCC's Floral Sentiments 4.  If you look closely you might even see some SEQUINS!  ;-)

Here's the set from NCC called Floral Sentiments 4

and some fun dies from Our Daily Bread Designs
called Beautiful Borders...

This card certainly helped clean out my paper scrap stash!  I pulled out several patterns with various shades of purple.  I colored the image (with Copics) and used a scalloped die to help it pop.  A rich purple seam binding bow adorns the side.  And yes, you do see three lilac colored sequins in the top right hand corner!  I couldn't resist trying out the new trend!  Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to visit my fellow "Coasters" and share the love!  {{hugs}}

Welcome to Our Daily Bread Designs' March Release and Blog Hop!

Good morning!  Welcome to Our Daily Bread Designs'  March release!  I am SO excited to share this month's release with you!  If you are in the mood for spring (and who isn't????) this is the perfect release for you!  Flowers, sweet sentiments and bees, oh my!

And to make browsing our design teams' projects even more special, three winners will be randomly chosen from the comments left on the designers' blogs.  The winners will receive a $25 gift certificate to the ODBD Store, to be used toward the purchase of Our Daily Bread Designs' stamps.  You have until March 2, 2014 at 9PM EST to make  your comments!  The winners will be posted on the ODBD Blog on March 3rd, so be sure to check the ODBD Blog to see if you are a winner!

So on to the projects I have for you including one featuring a new background die, Daisy Chain...

I used gold for the card base with a layer of white and black.  I topped those with the new Daisy Chain Background die cut.  I stamped the sentiment on white and framed it with the honey jar and wand stamped by masking the two together.  Each were colored with Copics and then fussy cut.  I added a bit of dimensional glaze to the jar for added depth.  The bee (found on the Zinnia set) was die cut with the coordinating Zinnia and Leaves Die.  A little dab of glitter glue makes my little bee shine!

And the products you see here...

Zinnia

And my second project, a gate fold card featuring an image from Zinnia and sentiment from Bee Happy on the outside (along with beautiful papers from ODBD's Blooming Garden Papers Collection...)

and an image with sentiment from Bee Happy on the inside...

The beautiful papers on this card are also from ODBD.  The outside has a few layers of die cut goodness including the new
Zinnia and Leaves Die for the sentiment matting and bee die plus a few oldies, like the Circle Ornaments Die (sentiment panel) and Fancy Foliage Die.  The base for this card is black card stock with kraft matting under all of the ODBD papers.  And I added glitter glue to this little bee's wings too!  :-)

So here's a peek at the other items I used...

Don't forget to stop by and see what the other "Sticks" have to share!  They always have the most amazing projects to share!  And most importantly they all have such a heart for the Lord!  Take a few moments to share the love!  Thanks for blessing me by stopping by and offering your encouragement!
