It's Your Day!

Do you remember aprons? I mean real aprons... One of my beloved great-aunts would never be caught without using one. She had everyday aprons for all her regular chores and cooking. She even had ones she wore only on special occasions. Whenever she had company over she would have to have the perfect apron to complement her dress. Wow! I think I have trouble matching my socks to my outfits! LOL Today I have one of her calico aprons hanging in my pantry. It reminds me of her and all the love she put into each and every meal. When I saw this new Gina K stamp set, I immediately thought of my Aunt E. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Give Me S'MORE!

Summer time means backyard barbeques, get togethers with friends and family and good old-fashioned fun. Nothing gives me more pleasure in the summer than making s'mores. That ooey gooey goodness is wonderful. Why is it food is almost always an inspiration and/or motivation? ;-) Take a look at the card I created mimicking that wonderful concoction... the smore!

Happy Birthday Barnyard!

You might be wondering what the heck a barnyard is. Or why would I be wishing an inanimate object happy birthday... Really I haven't lost my mind. (Wink, Wink) As you can tell by my blog's title and the photos I raise St. Bernards. Over the years my fluffers have lovingly become my St. Barnyards. My friends and family expect almost every card to have some reference to my beloved Saints. This card was created for my hubby's birthday. I found the perfect stamp (someone's cast off, how lucky for me)! That is the key to my favorite cards. I notice they all incorporate something I love or a technique I love. I hope you have a chance this week to create something you love! Till next time...

Copic Classes

I apologize for taking so long between posts! I promise I have been very busy. ;-) Unfortunately I am forced to work to support my habit. I have exciting news to share. Hubby and I took a weekend trip to Charleston, WV. While there I completed training as a Copic Certified Designer! I am so jazzed! In the coming weeks my info will be listed on the Copic website for Kentucky. So in the coming weeks I will be perfecting my techniques and look forward to teaching at my favorite store, The Scrapyard, in historic Maysville, Kentucky. I look forward to the opportunity to share this wonderful product with others! God bless and I look forward to creating some fabulous things for you!

Surprise!!! It's Best Bunny!

There is something about Granny Apple Green that just brings a smile to my face!  When the first signs of Spring appear you are sure to see...
