SC451 ~ Jingle Bells and a Sneak Peek ~

Good morning!  I'm so glad you stopped by!  Today I have another sneak peek featuring a September 1st release from Our Daily Bread Designs called Jingle Bells.  Today's featured card was based on the weekly Splitcoast sketch...

I used a dark chocolate card stock for my base with a layer of Kraft paper.  The image (Jingle Bells set) was stamped with a dark brown ink.  I found some coordinating scraps from my stack and hand cut fishtail banners.  A bit of ribbon with gold bells adorn the top.  I can't wait to show you this image colored!

Don't forget to stop by tomorrow, September 1st for Our Daily Bread Designs'  blog hop showcasing some fabulous creations by the design team!  It promises to be a wonderful day!  Thanks for peeking with me today!

Blessings...

MOJO308 ~ The Apple of Your Eye, a Sneak Peek ~

Happy Friday!  I can't believe that Labor Day weekend is here!  Where did the summer go?  I remember planning a cookout/campout at our house over Memorial Day weekend, hubby's knee replacement surgery, the wedding...  WOW!  I believe my Mother knew what she was talking about when she said time moves faster the older you get!

So with that in mind, I will move quickly on to today's card.  It's for the Mojo Monday sketch and features a stamp you haven't seen before.  It's a sneak peek of a new set coming up Sunday at Our Daily Bread Designs.   It's called Apples.

This set will be available Sunday, September 1st at Our Daily Bread Designs' store.  The design team will be hosting a hop  featuring creations using the new sets.  Be sure to visit and play along.  I know you won't be disappointed.  ;-)

For this card, I stamped the image on cream card stock with a light brown ink and added the sentiment with a deeper brown.  A seam binding bow with button detail adds some interest.  The foliage was created with an ODBD custom die released this month (August) called Fancy Foliage and shown here...

As always thanks for stopping by!  I will try to share another "peek" tomorrow!  {{hugs}}

This week we feature John 1:12...

I have long wanted to work with zebra print paper.  This week I decided to take the plunge!  The base is simple black card stock with a candy pink mat layer, Kraft and a final zebra print DP.  I printed this week's scripture directly on Kraft before adding a layer of black and pink.  I added three jet flat backed beads in the corner to balance out the greenery and pink roses.  Isn't it fun?

I know a fabulous college freshman who will enjoy this card of encouragement!  Thanks for dropping by!  Be sure to hop over to Word Art Wednesday to enter this week's challenge!

Dog Days Sale at ODBD!

Dog Days of Summer Sale

Did you miss it?  Did you miss National Dog Day yesterday?  I'm embarrassed to say I did!  As much as I love my Saint Bernards, I completely missed out!  **sigh**  I plan on making it up to the big guys today with a few extra belly rubs and puppy snacks.  I sure hope they didn't realize I missed their big day...  lol...

In the meantime, my friend and boss at Our Daily Bread Designs , Kelley, is having a fabulous sale!  And guess what the theme is?  ;-)

Kelley's granddog, Murphy, a.k.a. the cutest Golden Retriever in the whole wide world, would be proud!

So don't forget to hop over and check out all of the fun stamps and dies.  But you gotta hurry!  The sale ends Saturday, August 31st!    And stay tuned...  Sunday will be release day for Our Daily Bread Designs.  I will have several projects to share featuring all new products!

Keep checking in this week as I play along with some fun challenges and just get inky!  {{hugs}}

WT440 ~ Sunrise on the Farm ~

There is nothing more beautiful than watching the sun rise or set in the country.  There is something so very peaceful about it.  I find assurance of the love of our Creator in the beauty of His handiwork...  the glorious colors...  sights...  It never ceases to leave me breathless.

Today's card celebrates that first peek of dawn.  For simplicity, I stamped the image in black on white card stock and used a circle punch mask to create my sun.  I first sponged yellow ink and then a soft orange.  I then used a straight edge (paper) to create my "rays."  Super easy!  This card is for the Ways to Use it challenge at Split Coast.

Now for the products I used...

TSTR180, MOJO307 ~ Two Roads ~

Welcome!  So glad you took a few moments to stop by!  The weekend will be here soon and that means a whole new list of chores to do.  Cleaning, laundry...  you know the drill!  Phooey, guess that means my crafting time will suffer.  ;-)

In the meantime, I have a card to share incorporating both the Mojo Monday sketch and The Shabby Tea Room Challenge...

The quote, by Robert Frost, may be found in Our Daily Bread Designs' Quote Collection 1  shown here...

QUOTE COLLECTION 1

I covered the tree images with tape and inked up with black ink.  After removing the tape, I inked the trees separately before stamping.  The blossoms are nestled on a bed of greenery made up with various punches and the Fancy Foliage die...

FANCY FOLIAGE DIES

The Shabby Tea Room Challenge asked participants to use flowers and fabric.  The pennants in the top left hand corner are made up of pattern paper, denim and burlap respectively.  Here's the inspiration photo from The Shabby Tea Room

WAW94 ~ I Timothy 6:6 ~

Welcome!  It's time for some beautiful scripture and a creative challenge at Word Art Wednesday .  Check out the WAW site for all the details including this week's digital scripture image, how to link your creation AND info on our fabulous prizes!

A special thank you to both Heart & Soul Rubber Stamps and Digi Darla's for sponsoring this week's challenge!

This week we feature I Timothy 6:6...

This week's project is based on a card by the weekly featured stamper at Splitcoast.  I created a 5 x 7 card (something I rarely do these days.)  I'm not sure why I don't as this is really a versatile size.  I like to take these cards and put them in a simple inexpensive 5 x 7 frame and give as gifts.  You only need to remove the glass and adhere to the easel backing.  Super easy!

All papers are from a coordinating paper pack set.  I did use a woodgrain embossing folder to add a bit of depth to the printed "wood."  A floral spray frames the scripture nicely.

Andie Miller asked earlier in the week for specific dimensions on the greenery die...  so if you are reading Andie...  here you go...  4 x 2 1/4 inches...  It should fit nicely in your Cuttlebug!  :-)

Thanks for visiting!  Until next time...

Blessings.
