RS217 ~ Put on the Full Armor of God ~

Happy Friday!  Today I have a card to share using
Our Daily Bread Designs' Full Armor stamp set.

I started with a white card stock base and added a bit of tropical blue card stock cut and embossed with ODBD's Pierced Rectangles Die.  I created my custom DP using ODBD's Medallion Background stamp.  I stamped the image on white card stock with Versamark Embossing Ink and added white embossing powder.  After heating and cooling, I gently added a soft green ink, tropical blue ink and a rich blue ink gently wiping away the excess.  I love the ombre feel to this panel!  I cut and embossed it also with the Pierced Rectangles Die.  I stamped my sentiment (Full Armor) with a soft green ink on white CS and used ODBD's Circles Die to trim it our.  I added a bit of coordinating blue CS cut with the Pierced Circles Die for my mat.  I added a few custom flowers made from white card stock and ODBD's Pretty Posies Die.  I inked each with a rich blue ink, spritzed with a spray bottle, blotted up the excess and distressed away!  After shaping and drying, I added the layers to together and placed them on my card over soft green foliage (Fancy Foliage Die).  I finished up with a few gold micro beads glued in each center.  And I added a cut little blue die cut butterfly (Bitty Butterflies Die.

Here is the new set and die I used today...

Good morning!  I have a bright and cheery card featuring a few items from North Coast Creations
including the Little Birdies stamp set and coordinating Birdies Die...

I started with a white card stock base measuring 4.265 inches by 11 inches, scored and folded at 5.5 inches.  I added a bit of Rose Red Card Stock cut and embossed with Our Daily Bread Designs' Double Stitched Rectangles Die.  I used a smaller die in that same set to cut/emboss the DP layer (Simple Stories Carpe Diem).  I stamped my birdies and branch (Little Birdies stamp set) on Neenah Solar Crest before coloring.

R212, R32, YR12 for the birdies, E33, E35 and E37 for the branch,
YG07 and YG17 for my leaves...
a touch of Clear Wink of Stella on their little bellies...  :-)
After coloring I used NCC's coordinating Birdies Die to cut and emboss...

I stamped my sentiment on white card stock (Little Birdies) with Versafine Onyx Black ink and die cut it with ODBD's Circles Die and DP (also from Carpe Diem collection) with ODBD's Double Stitched Circles Die.

ODBD ~ Wishing Well ~

I love to color.  And with the popularity of adult coloring books, many other people must love to color too!  I don't have the time I once did to color images.  But when I do, look out!  I will be hunched over my desk for hours!  **and my back loves to tell me about it**

Today, I have an image to share from Our Daily Bread Designs' Wishing Well set.  I stamped the image on Copic compatible paper, colored it and used a few dies to frame it.

I started with a deep navy card stock base and trimmed the DP (Christian Faith Paper Collection) slightly smaller for my mat.  I also cut another panel, also slightly smaller with white card stock.  I used the Leafy Edged Borders Die to create a wave border and slightly offset the white panel to create an area for my die cut sentiment.  After coloring my image, I used the Circles Die to cut it out and used a soft blue ink and scalloped punch to create a cloudy sky.  I pulled out the coordinating Double Stitched Circles Die and created a mat layer with the dark navy paper.
I love using dies for my sentiment!  So fun!

Here are the items you see on today's project.

Copic colors - YG13, YG17, C1, C3, C5, C7, E31, E35, E25
Inks - Memento Summer Sky, Tuxedo Black
Card Stock - SU Night of Navy, Georgia Pacific White

But first you have to see some of these new items.  And if journaling hasn't caught your fancy yet and/or you don't feel comfortable stamping in a Bible...  there are MANY more ways to use them!  Check out all of the designers today to get some great ideas on how you can incorporate journaling stamps into your stash!

So here is my first project using ODBD's new Wishing Words stamp set...

I started with a soft cream card stock base, trimming two coordinating papers from the Blushing Rose Paper Collection and covering the seam with an ecru die cut from the Beautiful Borders Die set.  I stamped the sentiment (from the NEW Wishing Words set) on cream card stock and used the NEW Circles Die to cut and emboss it.  I added a hand crafted blossom (Paper Posies Die) with greenery from the beloved Fancy Foliage Die.
Here are the new items you see...

 and some old favorites...

Now on to one of the new journaling stamps...
Each year I purchase a planner to keep all of my personal and work appointments straight.  I use a phone for this task as well but I still like to see things in "writing."  I usually purchase a planner which a reading plan for my Bible.  That way I am sure to read the entire Bible in a year...  I can mark off assigned readings as I go through the year...

So I decided to pull out my 2016 planner...  go to July 4th and stamp this gem...  The Nation...
I used washi tape to mark the day as well and colored my images with twistable crayons...  I also added a bit of glitter glue to the stars...

No boring planner for me!  lol

So here's the journaling stamp used on this project...

and don't forget to check out all of the designers to play along with our hop AND get some fabulous ideas for using these stamps!  They aren't JUST for journaling!!!!
