ODBD ~ Wishing You Were Here ~

A beach would be fabulous right now.  I can almost feel the sand between my toes!  Or maybe that is the dry, cracked winter skin I have right now....  :-(
So in the meantime, I can take solace in creating cards with a summer  feel.  Here's one using a few of Our Daily Bread Designs' January release items...

I started with a white card stock base and a sunny yellow mat.  I used ODBD's Sunburst Background Die to cut, emboss and color my background.  Two complimentary shades of yellow, lightly sponged on the die before removing, created the lovely sun and rays.  I used ODBD's Leafy Edged Borders Die and a turquoise card stock to create overlapping waves.  I used a couple of sand colored CS scraps, tearing each, and overlapped them for my beach.  I stamped the sentiment from ODBD's Wishing Well directly on the sand and then die cut a couple of flip flops using the Flip Flops Die.  I added a bit of baker's twine to create the thong straps.

So here are the items you see used on today's card...

Card Stock - SU - Sahara Sand, Tempting Turquoise; Georgia Pacific - White

~ Bon Voyage ~

Welcome!  Thank you as always for spending a few moments of your day with me.  Today, I have a card to share incorporating one of my favorite color schemes...  red, white and blue!  I chose white card stock to create my base (5.5 x 4.5 inches) and used navy, white and red to mat a final embossed wave layer.

And here are some of the products you see...

I stamped my flip flops on white card stock and die cut each.  I added some glitter glue to the "straps" and a tiny flat backed adhesive pearl to each for interest.  I stamped the sentiment on white CS and hand cut the banner adding a bit of red CS for contrast.  A bit of patriotic ribbon tied around the wave embossed panel shows it off perfectly!  So what do you think?

Thanks so much for stopping by!

In the meantime, take a peek at all of the new and charming products at Our Daily Bread Designs.  Plus, three winners will be randomly chosen from comments left of the design teams blogs to receive a $15 Gift Certificate to the ODBD Store, to be used toward the purchase of ODBD Stamps found in the "stamps column" of the website.  Hurry!  You only have until August 2, 2014 at 9:00 p.m. EDT to leave your comments!  The winners will be posted on the ODBD Blog  on August 3rd, so be sure to check back there to see if you have won!

Here is the first card I have to show today using, Flip Flop Fun and coordinating Flip Flop Die plus the sand dollar image from Ocean Treasures.

I stamped my flip flops on white card stock, die cut them and colored them lightly with a teal glitter glue.  Once they were dry, I added a tiny pearl on each.  The card base is a simple seafoam green card stock with a vellum layer on top.  I stamped the sand dollar image randomly with a watermark ink and embossed the pattern with white embossing powder.  I chose white and sea foam green for my sentiment panel selecting ODBD's previous die releases Vintage Flourish Pattern and Vintage Labels to highlight the sentiment.

I just love this sentiment!  A cup of coffee...  sand between my toes...  ahhhhh....

Here's the new products you see...

This time I stamped my image from Anchor the Soul on white card stock before using an older die, Antique Labels and Borders Die to frame it.  Look closely and you will see another favorite, Beautiful Borders Die peeking out from behind the seam binding.
