Celebrating an Anniversary with a Scripture Hop at Our Daily Bread Designs

This month, Our Daily Bread Designs celebrates an anniversary!  And  to celebrate the designers are showcasing some of our favorite items.  Today, we focus on scripture.  And for today's project I chose a beautiful scripture from the New Testament book of Mark, featured in ODBD's Scripture Collection 12.

We would love to have you join us in sharing your projects using an ODBD Scripture.  Whether it be cards with fun folds, CAS, cards using techniques, scrapbook pages or home decor items, we would love to see the projects you create using ODBD Scripture stamps.   To enter, simply create your project using an ODBD Scripture, then add your permalink to the InLinkz found at the bottom of this POST by Saturday, March 21, 2015.  Seven random winners will be chosen from all entries to receive a $15 ODBD Gift Certificate to the ODBD Store, to be used toward the purchase of ODBD Stamps found in the "stamps column" of the website.  Winners will be posted on the ODBD Blog on Sunday, March 22, 2015, so please be sure to check there to see if you have won.

So here is my project for today featuring Scripture Collection 12...

I started with a kraft card stock base (5.5 x 4.25 inches) and added an ecru mat.  The designer papers you see are from the beautiful ODBD Shabby Rose Paper Collection.  A beautiful mulberry rose and greenery from ODBD's Fancy Foliage Die adorn the corner.  And just for fun, I added an ecru pearl flourish.

Here's the items you see!

~ Heaven and Earth ~

Good morning!  Hope you are having a wonderful weekend.  Today, I would like to share a card I created using paper scraps and a beautiful scripture stamp from Our Daily Bread Designs' Scripture Collection 12.  I am constantly reminded of the importance of reading God's word.  I equate it to not reading the owner's manual when you buy a new car.  I can't tell you how many times I have found a feature on a vehicle (often years later) that would have been incredibly useful if I had just known about it!  Can anyone else here relate????  I find it impossible to make sound decisions when I fail to have regular time in His word.  It's not only a matter of being obedient but a matter of survival.  We can't make sound decisions if we don't have all the facts!  It amazes me how the Lord can take a verse of scripture and speak to my heart.  It is so very personal and I love to find out each and every day what new insight He has for me!

FENCE DIE

I pulled some scraps (bee themed) from my stash and matted them with brown card stock and placed the pieces on a white CS base.  My sentiment (stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black) was framed with a few wood accents pieces from my stash.  I added the fence at the bottom to give it a garden feel.  I love clearing out some of those well loved paper scraps, don't you?  Thanks for stopping in!

Until next time...

blessings...

~ Heaven and Earth ~

Good morning!  What a lovely day in the neighborhood!  I think I will change into a well worn cardigan and soft canvas sneaks before we begin...  Won't you be my neighbor???  ;-)
Grab a cup of your favorite coffee and settle in for a bit.
I have a wonderful card to share using some of the new Chalkboard Paper Collection from Our Daily Bread Designs.
Chalkboard continues to be all the rage!  I see it in craft and hobby stores every time I stop in.  The beauty of these papers...  they are just beautiful!  They already look aged and so COOL!

I started with a simple black card stock base (5.5 by 4.25) and added a white CS mat.  I used the lattice chalkboard print for my main layer and added some of the swiss dot (also double matted) to one side.  I stamped my sentiment (from Scripture Collection 12) with red ink on white card stock before using the new Vintage Pattern Die.  Before removing the die, I lightly inked the edges with a black distress ink.  Since the focal layer looks like lattice, I decided to incorporate a spray of flowers.  I used ODBD's Fancy Foliage Die to create my vines and added a few sizes of mulberry roses randomly with glue.  My finishing touches?  Four flat backed pearls at each corner.  A very simple and elegant project...  perfect for a lovely friend, your mom or grandmother...  a friend from church who lends support...  any lovely lady who needs a bit of encouragement!

Here are the supplies I used today.

~ The Ends of the Earth ~

Welcome to my little corner of the world!  I hope this post finds you well.  Things have been busy around here as I prepare for the end of the work week.
Today I have a simple card featuring a stamp and die set from Our Daily Bread Designs' March release along with a stamp from the new Anniversary Release.
If you haven't had a chance to check them out please do.  The designer paper is also from an Our Daily Bread Designs product, the Blooming Garden Paper Collection.

I stamped the sentiment (Scripture Collection 12) directly on the DP.  The card base is white card stock with a double layer of moss green and sunflower yellow.  The zinnias (Zinnia stamp set) were stamped on Copic compatible paper and colored a soft yellow and pale lavender.  I staggered the images with dimensional foam and added die cut leaves (Zinnia and Leaves Die).

Here are the ODBD products I used...

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Don't forget to pay a visit tomorrow as the Our Daily Bread Design Team will revisit the March release.  It promises to be a great day!

Blessings...

Happy 6th Anniversary Our Daily Bread Designs!

Good morning dear friends!  I have a very special celebration to share.  This month, Kelley and Rick Holland, celebrate 6 years of creating beautiful and inspirational stamps at Our Daily Bread Designs.  It is an honor to work for such a wonderful family and I am blessed to have made so many fabulous friends on this journey!  Happy Anniversary to Kelley, Rick and Our Daily Bread Designs!  Here's to many more to come!

Now you can't have an anniversary without a party!  So to celebrate we are having a blog hop!  Three winners will be randomly chosen from the comments left on the designers' blogs.  They will receive a $25 Gift Certificate to the ODBD store to be used toward the purchase of ODBD stamps.  ONE LUCKY commenter will be randomly chosen to win the 2014 ANNIVERSARY BUNDLE!!!!!  You have until March 18, 2014 at 9:00PM EDT to leave your comments!  The winners will be posted on the ODBD blog on March 19th.  Be sure to check there to see if you have won!

Each year the team submits a quote, sentiment or scripture that speaks to our heart.  Kelley and crew go to work creating a stamp with the chosen words.  I selected a scripture from the book of Mark that comforts my heart when times are tough...

I used a couple of layers of pink card stock before adding some lovely designer paper from ODBD's Heart and Soul Collection.  Several layers of white and pink die cuts nestle under the sentiment panel.  A few mulberry roses garnish the side and if you look closely you will see a few pearls scattered around the corners.

For my second project I chose a lovely sentiment chosen by one of my team members from the book of Psalms and included in this lovely collection...

This time I chose a deep pink card stock to coordinate with designer papers from ODBD's Heart and Soul Collection.  Look closely and you will see the Quatrefoil Pattern Die and another classic image Grow in Grace.  I fussy cut bits of a second stamping of the dogwood image and glued them onto the first die cut.  It gives the illusion of the flower going off the page.

Here's a closer look.  See the Flower Soft centers?

Here are some of the other products I used along with the Scripture Collection 12 set.
