A special thank you to both the Scrappy Gourmet and the Flying Unicorn for providing our prizes this week!

This week we visit Psalm 40:1...

This week I used lots of layers.  I scored the white card stock base to create a diamond pattern and then added a light blue and white DP layer.  I used a layer die (Spellbinders) to create the white base, silver filigree layer and the final sentiment layer.  A couple of jingle bells tied together with Baker's Twine adorn the side.  I added a few pearls to the filigree layer for interest.  I just love layers, don't you?  Thanks for stopping by!

~ Harvest the Seeds of Love ~

Good morning!  Can you believe the wild winter weather here in the east?  I'm looking forward to summer and a cupboard full of freshly canned items AND warm days.

This month's Our Daily Bread Designs release featured some fabulous ways to dress up the canning jar stamp and/or die from ODBD that you already own.  I chose to emboss the background with the Quatrefoil Pattern die and add some die cut / Copic colored canned goods!  YUM!!!

And some of the products you see here...

Thanks for stopping by!

Blessings...

And a special thanks to The Paper Temptress for providing some amazing papers for me to work with this week!

This week we visit the book of James...

I used 3 beautiful sheets from the Paper Temptress line including Eclipse Black (base and matting), Vintage Silver Lustre Text and Opal Mica/Metallic (scripture layer.)  They are SO yummy!  I paired a chevron pattern (black & white) from The Paper Studio with them.  I just love how it turned out.  A few aqua mulberry roses, die cut greenery and a simple seam binding bow adorn the bottom.  I found a few self adhesive jet beads and positioned them on the opposite corner.  I just LOVE this card!  I see more chevrons and Paper Temptress paper in my future!  :-)  Thanks for stopping by!

~ Versamark and Chalk Technique ~

Good morning!  Hope you are staying warm!  We had a bit of snow yesterday which made a perfect afternoon to snuggle in and craft!  I am in an experimental phase and pulled an old technique out of my bag of tricks to try!  If you haven't used Versamark and colored chalk together, you are in for some fun.  For this project, I used black card stock, a variety of chalks and a new stamp from North Coast Creations.  Here's the final product.

You will need a piece of black card stock.  (Navy also works well for this technique...)  I used several shades of pink and purple chalks.  I used cotton balls to gently swirl the color on until I achieved the desired effect.  You may also use make up applicators or cotton swabs for this as well.  I chose my image (shown below) and inked it up with Versamark Embossing ink and stamped it directly on the chalked paper.  When you lift it off, the chalk disappears!  Isn't that fun????  Just what the crafting doctor called for on a dreary day...  :-)

So here is the set I used from North Coast Creations called

I hope you get a chance to revisit this technique!  It is so easy and fun!  Until next time!

Blessings...

A Look Back at Our Daily Bread Designs' January Release

Today we are taking a look back at Our Daily Bread Designs'  January Release!  Here is the card I created using the new Lavender set.  For more inspiration using the January Release be sure to visit the ODBD Blog.

And the products I used
including the new Lavender set

and a few earlier die releases,

I layered the Quatrefoil die (white card stock) on top of a DP resembling white washed boards.  I stamped the sentiment (from the Lavender set) in black on white card stock and die cut before adding another die layer in a coordinating DP.  A floral spray nestled on the side (incorporating the Fancy Foliage dies) adds a feminine touch.  I added a few pearls to each corner for a dash of class!  :-)  So what do you think?  I love this sentiment and see it working into several cards for various occasions.  Thanks as always for stopping by!  {{hugs}}

Be sure to check out what the rest of the team has for you!

North Coast Creations January Release

Welcome to the North Coast Creations
January New Releases!

This month we have some LOVELY floral stamps to share!  I just know you will be in the mood to create all of those spring projects just a little bit early!  :-)

And to make this hop even more fun, we will be choosing 2 winners who will receive a $10 gift certificate to the store for stamps just for commenting on our Design Team cards!

You have until January 17, 2014 at 10:00PM EST to leave a comment on each of our designers' blog posts.  Our 2 random winners will be announced on the North Coast Creations Blog on January 18, 2014!  Please be sure to check back there to see if you have won.

I have a couple of cards to share today.  The first showcases the Floral Sentiments 2 set...

I stamped the image on Neenah Solar Crest and colored the image with Copics.  After die cutting, I added a soft brown ink to the edges.  I found out after creating the image that it is actually the flower on a castor bean plant.  I thought it looked similar to pussy willow...  so I added white Flower Soft to each blossom...  I think it turned out nicely!  I stamped the sentiment with Rich Cocoa ink on white card stock and die cut it before placing.  Very feminine and airy...  perfect to add to my card stash for the ladies in my life...

And here's the image of the stamp set itself...

I decided to go a bit more dramatic on my second card.  I used the new set Floral Sentiments 3.

This time I colored the image in deep red tones (R24, R29 & R39) and the stems in rich greens (G24 & G28).  I double matted the image with red and black die cuts and chose a musical DP for my primary background.  I stamped the sentiment (Memento Tuxedo Black) on white CS and hand cut the banner, placing it strategically by the satin bow.  I just love this color combo!  I can't wait to see poppies in my yard this spring!

And here's the stamp set image...

Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing a bit of your day!  Don't forget to stop by all of my fellow "Coasters'" blogs.  I promise  you will see some amazing projects!  Hugs and blessings...
