Clearly Digital Stamps ~ Happy Rainbow

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope this Sunday finds you well!  I want to share a digital image I been working with called Happy Rainbow.  I used this one along with this week's Deconstructed Sketch...

I had a couple of old paint chips hanging around and decided to incorporate them into my design. Don't you just love being able to repurpose stuff?

Thanks for popping in and don't forget to stop back by Tuesday for Our Daily Bread Designs' Shining the Light Challenge. I'm also still working on the ornament tutorial... I can't seem to get it photographed/recorded to suit me... Hubs says I'm too picky... lol... So hang in there! I hope to have it up and ready for you soon! Until next time...

Blessings...

Exploring Cricut ~ A Christmas Notecard ~

Happy Friday and welcome to another fun project for Exploring Cricut!

I realize that Thanksgiving is still a few weeks away, but in order to get an adequate number of Christmas cards done...  I have to start EARLY!  Today's project is a simple note card using one of my new favorite cartridges, A Quilted Christmas.

This cart has a TON of card base ideas! I opted to used the card base shown on page 74 cut at 5 inches (red CS). I then cut the shadow in white. The reindeer may be found on page 64. There is another standing fellow but I kinda like this leaping guy... He is cut at 4.5 inches using the Deer2, Layer 3 and assorted accessory cuts. I added a bit of dimensional foam to make him pop off the page and a rhinestone flourish bit leftover from another project. Super easy!

Thanks as always for stopping by and until next time... blessings...

Exploring Cricut ~ Saluting Our Veterans ~

Welcome to another fun challenge at Exploring Cricut!

This rotation we want to honor our veterans!

After all, Veteran's Day is quickly approaching and there is no more deserving group to celebrate!

For today's project I used Alphalicous cuts (3 inches - Thank You) and Autumn Celebrations (5 inches - Bugle Boy).

I chose to create a Marine in Summer dress whites. I am a bit prejudiced as my Dad was a Marine serving during the Korean conflict. Even though my Dad passed away several years ago, I know a gentleman who will love this card! Make sure to thank a veteran on November 11th! And thank them for the blessings of living in a free country!  Many paid the ultimate price.  Hugs...

Lori

Thanks Dad! I love and miss you.

CDS ~ Times of Trial ~

Welcome!  Thank you for stopping by.

Today I am sharing a card I created with digital images from Clearly Digital Stamps.  I printed a script circle (Leaves) on white card stock and modified the ink color before printing.  I cut/embossed the circle and added a die cut maple leaf in the center for interest.  I'm hoping to add a few more clean and simple cards to my stash as the holidays approach.  Pretty soon it will be time to gear up for Christmas cards!  ACK!!!  Let me just start hyperventilating now!  :-)

And here's my card of encouragement celebrating the textures and colors of fall...

Hope you and yours are having a wonderful day! Don't forget to stop back by tomorrow and Friday for Exploring Cricut projects. Tuesday I will have a new Our Daily Bread Designs Shining the Light Challenge to share. Plus Thursday, the Alumni team at ODBD will be hosting another blog hop! And if all goes well, I hope to share a fun tutorial this week featuring floor wax AND a stamped image... Now you gotta come back for that one! Blessings...

Our Daily Bread Designs November Release Blog Hop!

Hello friends! Welcome to the Our Daily Bread designs November Release Blog Hop! If you got here from Silke’s blog, you are in the right place! If not, you might want to start at the ODBD Blog so you don’t miss a thing!
The hop will run from 8am EDT Nov 1 until 8pm EDT Nov 2.  Winners will be announced on the ODBD Blog November 3rd.   Three blessed hoppers will win their choice of one free set, and 1 hopper will win the entire Nov. Bread Basket Bundle!!! Simply hop to each stop, leave a comment and return to the ODBD Blog to tell us you completed the hop and let us know if you had any problems along the way! That’s it! Blessings!!!

For today's hop I selected the Chickadee Ornament set shown below...

For my project, I created a Christmas ornament and coordinating gift box.

For the ornament, I stamped the image on white tissue paper and colored it with pencils. After lightly coating a clear ornament with liquid floor wax, I placed the trimmed image inside the ornament.  (It is much easier to roll the image up before putting it inside the ornament...)  I used a pipe cleaner to position the image before the wax dried. I added another coating of wax and coated it with glitter. Easy! (I'll follow up with a tutorial in the coming week...)

I adorned the box with a Copic colored image with a layer of shirred lace on the back. Another fun project! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Now I will send you on to your final stop... the ODBD's blog!
 Blessings...
