Word Art Wednesday Challenge #238 and #239

Good morning and welcome to a new bi-weekly challenge at Word Art Wednesday!  I am still loving the red, white and blue papers I am seeing as of late.  So today, I pulled out some floral designs to work with.  I also opted to go with a cleaner look...  a bit more white space...

I started with a plain card stock base measuring 4.25 x 5.5 inches and added a fun pattern DP from Anna Griffin's Madison Paper pad.  I printed my scripture on white card stock and cut it down adding a slightly larger blue mat.  I pulled out a Stampin' Up stamp (Timeless Treasures) and added a but of distressed stamping with Sahara Sand ink.  I tied up a twine bow (maybe from the dollar bin at Michaels...) and added a simple ecru mulberry flower.  A few sequins adorn the corner....  (the white space scared me...  lol)

Thanks as always for joining me!  Don't forget to visit the WAW Blog to check out what the other designers have created.  Plus you can play along for the chance to win some fun prizes!
Blessings!

This week we are visiting the book of Psalms and receiving words of Thanksgiving...

This is an amazing scripture!  Thanksgiving should be every day and not just one day each year.  This challenges my heart on so many levels.  When I pray, do I have the right attitude...  gratitude and thankfulness?  Do my actions show my gratitude and bless others?  Am I truly thankful for each and every blessing?  Do I recognize everything is a blessing from above and not because of something I have done?  AND I don't deserve any of those things?  WOW!

What a wonderful way to celebrate the middle of the week!  Thanks for stopping by!

Blessings...

This week we are visiting Isaiah...

This time I used a heavily distressed background as the frame for my digi scripture.  I layered a piece of white card stock with gesso and allowed it to dry.  Once it was dry, I inked it with various shades of distress ink (blues and pinks) and then allowed it to rest.  After it dried again, I ran it through an embossing folder and added Versamark and gold embossing powder.  I love the vintage feel to it!  Thanks so much for visiting.  And until next time...

Blessings...
