F4A123 ~ It's All About Scraps ~
It just so happened I had completed a project with Bo Bunny's Weekend Market Collection. So I was able to use the coordinating pieces to paper punch and arrange a fun design on the front of kraft card stock. I used dimensional foam to pop each hexagon up. I selected Our Daily Bread Designs' Anchor set for my sentiment and stamped it on the base with Versafine ink. Super easy! Now I just need to visit that scrap pile again... :-) Thanks so much and have a wonderful day!

For this project I used an Our Daily Bread classic, Lord is My Shepherd for both the central image and scripture. (I just love this darling sheep image!) I stamped the image on vanilla card stock with black ink and added my scripture. I then used Spellbinders' Large Ovals to cut/emboss the central panel. I added a SB Scalloped Large Oval in black CS to make my central panel pop. My base is black card stock with a layer of vanilla matting. I selected my DP from Prima's Nature Garden collection. I tucked a bit of lace behind the custom dyed seam binding. Isn't the cut little key charm darling? Thanks to my dear DT buddy Sabrina for adding that little gem to my stash! A cream pearl flourish (cut and placed on opposit corners) adds interest. For final touches, I placed some vanilla and soft pink roses around my panel with a few paper punched leaves.
So let's check it off..

Black and/or Gray - Card stock and Designer Paper

Here's my take on this week's challenge...
I decorated my base card stock using ODBD's Faith Set. My chosen sentiment came from the recent Quote Collection 1 release. After stamping the images in different colors, I ran the card base through a paper crimper and added some additional distress ink. It brought out the corrugated look to the paper. I stamped a few additional images and cut our some butterflies and added those with dimensional foam to the completed project. Pretty clean and simple...
Thanks for stopping in and be sure to check out what my other Sister Sticks have for ya... Blessings...

ODBDSLC68 Grand Old...
Be Inspired by a WORD or the ENTIRE PHRASE "You're a grand old flag, you're a high flying flag."
You can use a flag, something flying, something high or grand.....
To make the challenge even more fun, we will be giving out a prize, a $15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for the prize must be submitted by Thursday, July 21. One random winner will be chosen and announced next Saturday. If you are not using ODBD stamps, please do not enter more than once. Additional entries without using ODBD stamps will not be commented on or will they qualify for prizes. You can find complete details/rules at ODBD's blog.
And my design for this week's challenge...

Inspiration - Old (vintage) and high flying (butterflies)...
I randomly stamped the image with all three distress inks. After getting the effect I desired, I used a corner punch to round the edges and inked them. I used the darker Walnut Stain for this part. Once that was completed I stamped my sentiment on with the Walnut ink. I attached a strip of ribbon on the front of my card and tied a double bow. I inked the blossom lightly with the Walnut Stain before adhering to the card front. The leaves are cut out of kraft paper and inked as well. The other details behind the rose are actually tiny medallion punches I cut out of coffee filters! To finish up, I added some pretty pearls in back! You will find a product list below.
Thanks again and I can't wait to see what you will create! Please visit my sister sticks to see the eye candy they have for you!

Always Give Yourselves Fully

In today's card I took a Martha Stewart Lattice Punch and modified it (on the card it is actually two pieces) to make it look like a real piece of lattice. I added a touch of plant like ribbon to add to the effect. I also tried my hand at using some of those popular flower punches to create faux hydrangea... I had a blast putting this one together! And isn't that what it is about?
Speaking of having fun... the scripture set I used today is from a recent release by ODBD, Serve the Lord. I have always found it hard to find appropriate stamps to use as encouragement for all those who help in the church. This set is perfect for that and I know this one will get plenty of use creating thank you cards for all of my VBS helpers! Thanks as always for reading! Blessings...

Service and a Servant's Heart

Happy Thursday to you! I created today's card for Faithfully Yours. If you haven't had a chance to check out this blog, please do. Dawn has created a wonderful place for you to explore "faithbooking." Dawn's blog goes into great detail sharing what faithbooking is all about. It turns out it is recording and sharing our journeys of faith. Seems like I have been "faithbooking" for quite a while now! I love the idea that I can share my faith with those who receive my cards and those who read my blog! How cool is that? So be sure to check it out! I have a short devotion along with today's card posted there. And thanks Dawn for allowing me to take this "faithbooking" journey with you!
Blessings ~

Clean and Simple - Part 2

Had to make a trip to the city today for a doctor's appointment. Thank you for all of your continued prayers! My follow up went well and I will not have to go back for a few months. Since the opportunity presented itself, I stopped at a large scrapbooking store. Since when do you need an opportunity, right? lol... I stocked up on pink, yellow, blue, lavender... basically I went nuts over anything that looked springy! It has been a LONG winter folks... I traveled over to another craft store and snapped up some fabulous bargains. I love days like that, don't you? All in all a pretty pleasant day!
So today's card is pretty clean and simple. I did little embellishments and let the image speak for itself! Here's to the first signs of spring! Hope you are having a wonderful week!
Hugs ~

The ladies at Our Daily Bread Designs have issued another challenge. This time, to play along, you must use overstamping. In this example, I stamped the image in light gray ink and then embossed the sentiment over it. I love how this technique looks but I don't use it often. The Copic nut in me says "never stamp over something you can color..." lol...
I definitely had fun doing something a little different and the sentiment says it all... Why worry? So I didn't! Nothing to color? Less can be more, right? Have a blessed day!

Keeping it Simple

Do you ever feel the need to simplify? I am definitely feeling the need. During the coming weeks I will be preparing my home for spring. And I intend to pitch everything and anything in sight that I do not need. Ok... maybe not pitch... But I think Goodwill will make out quite well with my donations!
So to celebrate my freedom from stuff, I made a simple card today... Enjoy and have a wonderful day!
