RS39 ~ More Christmas Blessings ~

I must apologize in advance.  I KNOW this must be the gazillionth Christmas card I've done as of late.  But I just can't stop myself!  And even though my tree isn't up and my house remains almost entirely devoid of decorations (how did that happen?) I continue to crank out holiday cards.   (Maybe I need to stop creating cards and starting putting my tree up...)

Here's another one based on last week's Retro Sketch...

and the sketch...

Another nontraditional color palette... kraft, blue and pink... Isn't it yummy? If you look closely one little corner of blue paper is peeking! Thinking that tree may not make it up for a while... ;-)

Until next time... blessings...

DS78 ~ A Christmas Sketch ~

Good morning!  We are officially mid week!  And before you know it, the first of December will be here!  That means new releases from Our Daily Bread Designs.  ***And they are DARLING!***  Can't wait for you to see the new items Kelley and company have in store...

So in the meantime, I have a wonderful classic ODBD set, Christmas Blessings to share along with a Deconstructed Sketch challenge...

Here's the card...

and the Deconstructed Sketch...

I actually pulled out my old Coluzzle for this project. I also used a Scor-Pal to score the lines on the DP. It gives it a bead board feel... I couldn't resist the gingham even though it isn't really traditional...  But why not mix it up a bit, right?

As always I hope you have a wonderful day and until next time... Blessings...

MOJO250, WAW37 & SSIC147 ~ Christmas Joy

Praise be to our Lord who always provides! A few weeks ago, I shared how hot and DRY it was here in my beloved Bluegrass state. As of Thursday, we had over 6 inches of rain! WOW! Definitely answered prayers! Our lawn has rebounded and today dear hubs will mow the lovely crop of weeds AND grass that has sprung up seemingly overnight. I am so very grateful for continual provisions!

I created today's card for a few challenges including the weekly Mojo Monday challenge, Stampin' Sisters in Christ plus their sister site, Word Art Wednesday.

Here is this week's Mojo sketch...

And my take... ANOTHER Christmas card!!! My stash is growing! ;-)

I found the coordinating DP at Hobby Lobby. I love it! The base is cream card stock (5.5 x 4.25 inches) with embossed black card stock matting. I stamped the sentiment (Our Daily Bread Designs' Christmas Blessings) with black ink on the same cream CS before cutting/embossing with a Spellbinder Die. The bottom layer of DP has a bit of ecru lace peeking out on both the top and bottom. I also cut tiny tags out of the music print to tuck under the edge. I created the poinsettia with a Spellbinders die and added some paper punched greenery and 2 silver bells (for sparkle) and an altered pearl flourish. If you look closely, you can see a bit of yellow Flower Soft in the center of the blossom. I just love the non-traditional colors! Thanks as always for stopping by!

Blessings...

WT382 ~ Silver Bells

Thanks for stopping by. If you are looking for today's Exploring Cricut post please click HERE.

Wow!  Is it ever hot today!  Temps in my part of the state are projected to hit 104 degrees!  With the heat index it could feel like 110 degrees plus!  With temps being this warm, the Saints are spending a great deal of time in our nice cool air conditioned garage with plenty of water and a circulating fan.  I bet they think life is RUFF!!  Sorry, couldn't resist!

So to keep my mind cool, I have turned to creating Christmas cards.  Here's one I put together today for Splitcoast's Ways to Use It Challenge.  The challenge...  to use tissue paper.  I grabbed some silver dotted  tissue paper and applied it to a white card stock base I ran through my Xyron.  When smoothed down, it takes on the look of linen.  I opted to emboss my sentiment this time (from Our Daily Bread Designs' Christmas Blessings) with silver powder.  All the matting is silver card stock as well.  The die has been in my tool arsenal for a while.  I must admit, I've been terrified of this bad boy!  But after working with it, I'm not so sure what I was scared of!

I gathered some silver tulle behind the Angle die cut and adhered it with ScorTape. A tiny silver pearl sits on top. Now this card is pretty tall so this will either be a hand delivered item or mailed with a present this year. Sometimes pretty things just can't be hindered by an envelope! Blessings...

Surprise!!! It's Best Bunny!
