ODBDSLC127 ~ L-E-A-F

It is time for another Our Daily Bread Designs' Shining the Light Challenge... This time we have a recipe to follow...  L-E-A-F!

Pick a minimum of three items that begin with these letters when you create.  (ex. L-ace, A-cetate, E-mbossing Powder & F-oil)

To make the challenge even more fun, we will be giving out a prize, a $15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!! If you are not using ODBD stamps, please do not enter more than once. Additional entries without using ODBD stamps will not be commented on nor will they qualify for prizes.

While it is not required to use Our Daily Bread Designs images and sentiments on your creations, we would love to see them if you have them! As a way of recognizing those who do use Our Daily Bread Designs stamps, we will again be choosing 1 to 2 creations to spotlight for our Shining the Light Award. In order to qualify for this award, however, you must use Our Daily Bread stamps and have your submission added to Mr. Linky by Sunday, October 28th at 8 p.m. EST. If you upload your creations to Splitcoast Stampers or any other online gallery, please use the keyword ODBDSLC127. When creating your posts on blogs please include a link to our challenge.  And don't forget to tell us what your three items from the acronym are!  :-)

And my creation for the week... and yes I managed to use all FOUR!!!

L-eaf die cut, E-mbossing folder, A-cetate Shaker Window, F-lower Soft

and the lovely stamp, Apple Seed...

It's been a while since I created a shaker card. So this rotation I opted to tuck some Autumn Flower Soft in the window for interest. I love this quote. It is appropriate for every season and I can't help but think of caramel apples this time of year! YUM!

Make sure to stop by and visit my sister sticks! They have some wonderful creations to share! And don't forget to leave them some love!

Delight Yourself in the Lord

The Design Team at ODBD participated in a Flower Soft blog hop today. If you haven't had a chance to check it out click here. The ladies created some spectacular things. I was inspired to try my hand using this awesome product as well! This new paper by Bo Bunny has a super cute picket fence at the bottom. So I decided to have some Flower Soft Sweet Pea mix peeking out... So much fun! A swash of pearls, some Copic coloring and a fab Cheery Lynn Designs die cut pulled it all together! I love it when it works out that way! See ya next time!

Longing For Spring

I find myself pouring over catalogs feeling that urgent need to purchase something. After all I have been good, right? I wouldn't even considering buying something I don't need. The beautiful colors mesmerize me. I can't seem to stop thinking about beautiful pinks, blues and vibrant greens. I'm sure I can use them to create beauty. I am weakening and my debit card is sure to be the first casualty...

It must be card stock or new embellishments I'm drooling over, right? WRONG! The annual Burpee's seed catalog has arrived! And for gardeners it is as eagerly anticipated as the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition is for some! I am so tired of snow and mud and... need I say more? I crave daffodils, tulips, rudbekia and purple coneflower. I am convinced I can catch a whiff of the sweet fragrance of sweet peas in the air. Until then I can dream and so can you! Hope you enjoy this card inspired by one I spotted in a recent card magazine. Blessings to you!

Sweet Delights

I'm finally back in Kentucky! I am so glad to be back and crafting again. My jaunt to the Sunshine State left me brimming with new ideas and color combos. Saturday I began implementing some of those ideas. I worked on this card last night and intended to finish it today. Well, amazing how things work out... One of those sweet delights I hold close to my heart is our dear pastor of 22 years. This morning he announced to our congregation his intention to accept a pastorship at another church. This is so bittersweet for me. Pastor was my first friend when I came to that church over 7 years ago. He married my dear husband and I. We will miss him terribly. I know that God has called him down a new path but I am sure he will be just as much a delight in his new church as he has been to ours. Ironically he is going to Florida... guess I might get to visit there again! Hope you have a wonderful and blessed day! Enjoy...
