~ Oh, Holy Night ~

Today's post will be very short.  I do have a card to share.  The last few days I have found my mind elsewhere...  I am sure your thoughts and prayers are like mine...  focused on those in the path of Hurricane Matthew.  We have friends and family located on the coasts of Florida and North Carolina.  I can't imagine what these folks are going through.  I do know that our heavenly Father is our anchor during life's storms.  I pray he places His arms around all of those in the path of this terrible storm.

And today's card featuring the new ODBD dies,

Our Daily Bread Designs' Bronze Anniversary

Good morning and welcome to a very special release day at Our Daily Bread Designs!  This year marks 8 years that Our Daily Bread Designs has been in business!  I was blessed to discover ODBD several years ago when I was looking for stamps that reflected my Christian faith.  I have been even more blessed to be a part of ODBD's design team over the last few years.  Kelley and Rick Holland have blessed many people with their lovely stamps, dies and papers.  And I have been honored to work for them and with one of the best group of designers in the business.  Here's to many more years sharing these wonderful products!

And 8th Anniversary is a very special one.  And bronze is the traditional gift for this anniversary.  A few of my DT sisters have some lovely "bronze" projects to share.  AND at the end of today's post, be sure to check out how you can hop along and possibly win a fun anniversary prize!  Here is my project using the March stamp release, Keys to Happiness!

Here are the fabulous layers...

A Look Back at Our Daily Bread Designs' Mid Month Release

Today we are taking a look back at Our Daily Bread Designs' October Mid-Month Release.  Here is the card I created using Everlasting Light and Christmas Candles Die.  For more inspiration using the October Mid-Month Release be sure to visit the ODBD Blog.  So for this card I decided to go with a silver and white color scheme...

I started with a white card stock base and added a silver poster board mat created with ODBD's Flourished Star Pattern Die and slightly smaller white card stock layer.  I added a bit of DP from the Winter Paper Collection trimmed with the Leafy Edged Borders Die.  I stamped my sentiment (from the ODBD mid-month release, Everlasting Light) on white card stock with silver ink.  I then cut and embossed the panel with the Stitched Ovals Die.  I took a bit of silver PB and used the new Christmas Candles Die with a bit of dimensional foam to create a bit of depth in the corner.  So here are the mid-month items you see...

and some old favorites...

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Don't forget to visit my design team sisters to see what they have created with this month's mid-month release.  Blessings...

~ Good Friends ~

Happy Friday!  Today, I have a simple card using a
few items from Our Daily Bread Designs.
The colors are a trendy gray, black and white palette.

I started with a gray 5.5 x 4.25 card base and added a white CS mat.  I selected some beautiful star themed silver/gray and white paper from the Winter Paper Collection and used the largest rectangular die base (Flourished Star Pattern Die) to cut my decorative panel.

CSBD75 - FLOURISHED STAR PATTERN DIE

I stamped the sentiment from
Reach for the Stars on white paper
and custom cut a banner and black mat.

G603 - REACH FOR THE STARS

I nestled a gray die cut on top (under the sentiment panel)
using an earlier release Quatrefoil Pattern Die.

CSBD30 - QUATREFOIL PATTERN DIE

The seam binding bow is a custom dyed bow.  I used a black distress ink and some sparkling Angel Glimmer Mist to make my own...  I love the gray distressed look!  Thanks for stopping by!

Until next time,

Blessings...

Here's my first project for the day...

and a close up of the details on this one...

Every great project starts with fun paper and this one is no exception.  The beautiful gold and white dotted paper may be found in the new Winter Paper Collection 2014.

The base gold filigree layer can be found in the Flourished Pattern Star Pattern Die.

The top gold star may be found in this coordinating

I used white embossing powder to add a simple star from the new Come Let Us Adore Him stamp set.

I stamped the sentiments found in the new set, His Birth on left over DP and added them to my project.  A few random pearls adorn it as well.  I just LOVE the elegant feel of this one!

For my second project, I decided to use both silver and gold (embossing)...

I used both His Birth (shown above) and Shine On (shown below) on this card.  I stamped the stars with embossing ink and used  silver and gold embossing powder to highlight them.  I chose a custom dyed seam binding bow and embossed the sentiment before die cutting with ODBD's previous release, Pennants Die.
