Thank Ewe!

Do you ever feel giddy when you spot the perfect stamp? 

You see a darling image and JUST KNOW it begs to be colored!  You know that everything about the image just SCREAMS you!  A few days ago, a colleague and stamping buddy rushed to show me a new stamp she found on Ebay.  And immediately, I fell in love!  Apologies to my hubby... 

Aren't they just the cutest little sheep evah??? I pulled out some Copics, stamped my images twice, colored and added some dimensional foam. If you look closely, you might even see some Stickles! All my little sheepie friends are smiling! Thanks for stopping in and until next time...

Exploring Cricut Daily Post

Welcome!  So glad you could stop by and visit for a spell.  Hoping that everyone had a wonderful Fourth of July!  If your family is anything like mine there was plenty of sun, food and fellowship!

Today I am sharing a card for Exploring Cricut.  And what is more country than a county fair?  Here is my neck of the woods each county has their own fair.  Locally we have one of the oldest county fairs in the state of Kentucky.  It is know as the "Old Reliable" Germantown Fair.  It has been in existence since 1854!  I'm not sure they had funnel cakes then but I'm sure they had great treats too!
So in celebration of the pride of rural America, the county fair, I pulled out my Cricut County Fair cartridge and went to work.

I have to admit I am slightly disturbed by one thing on this card. I was raised on a dairy farm with Holsteins and cows do not have horns! But for some reason on this cartridge she did! City slickers!!!! Product development at Provocraft needs to pay a little closer attention. Snort!!!  Thanks for visiting!

Exploring Cricut - Challenge 3

My how time flies when you are having fun! It's hard to believe it is time for another Exploring Cricut challenge. If you haven't had a chance take a few moments to check out Diane's blog here. If you are like me I have so many cartridges that just languish. This challenge blog has helped me dust some of those creative cobwebs off!

So what is the design team up to this week? Diane has asked us to create something with leaves and acorns!

So here is my take on the challenge... I just had to throw a cute little critter in there too... (hee, hee...)

Create A Critter Valentine Menagerie

Do you remember getting those funny Valentines as a kid? You know... the one's with funny sayings? I loved those as a child. So when the time came to create some for my Sunday School class and grand kids, I decided to pull out all the stops! The Cricut Create A Critter Cartridge and stamps from My Pink Stamper did the trick! Look at the series below....

Friends Fur-ever!

As I am writing this post today, I am thinking about the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. And before this morning I hadn't thought about that beautiful place in Tennessee for a long time. Apparently this card has inspired me to go visit! Now, if I can just get dear hubby to go along with the idea... LOL...

This card is a little different for me. I actually broke out the Cricut Expression and Gypsy again. I don't know why I don't do this more often. I guess I have become a creature of habit and since taking up Copics I just want to color everything. Good thing the St. Bernards won't stand still! :-P

I found the fun flock technique over at My Craft Spot on August 12th and had to try it. Check it out! If I can do it anyone can! Have a blessed and relaxing Sunday everyone and thanks again as always.

Cardstock - White - Georgia Pacific, Blue, Brown, Gray - Bazzill
Pattern Paper - Trees, grass - unknown
Ink - Memento - Black Tuxedo
Flocking - Stampendous - Plain Ol' Black
Adhesives - Xyron 500 - flocking, Zig Two Way Glue - assembling flocked parts to die cut (ex. Mr. Raccoon's mask)
Sentiment - My Pink Stamper - Punny-licious

Cricut Measurements

Raccoon - 3.29 inches X 3.12
Trees - two trees welded and stretched, final measurements 5.17 inches X 3.23
Grass - 4 images welded, final measurements 5.98 inches X 1.01

The mountains and sky are simply torn paper applied to the white backing. I cut the trees and grass out twice and doubled them up with pop dots for dimension. For the flocking I ran the blackout image of the raccoon through my xyron UPSIDE down and adherred layers. THEN I filled in with flocking as I wanted the feet and arms to be fuzzy... The layers (tail and mask) were flocked separately and then adherred to image. Check out Kimberly's blog I mentioned above for a easy video!
