~ Friendship is Like a Book ~

Good morning!!!  Thanks so much for stopping by!  Today I have a simple card using silver poster board, white and black card stock along with some fun papers from Our Daily Bread Designs.  Plus it features the new July stamp release, You Bless Me.  I chose a very simple color scheme for this...  I wanted the image and sentiment to shine...

I stamped the sentiment on white card stock with a soft gray ink before adding my sentiment with a bold black.  The image is a beautiful glad...  one of my favorite summer flowers...

I love how this image can be colored and yet look so elegant with a simple outline...
Here is one of the new dies from this month's release that I used also...

SO let's get into the specifics...
Layer by layer...

  1. Black Card Stock (CS) measuring 4.25 by 11 inches, scored and folded at 5.5 inches
  2. White CS cut and embossed with ODBD's Majestic Medallion Die
  3. Silver Poster board mat cut slightly larger than the next layer (about 1/8 inch) - popped up with dimensional foam
  4. Chalkboard Designer Paper (DP) from ODBD's Chalkboard Paper Collection; cut and embossed with ODBD's Pierced Rectangles Die
  5. Silver Poster Board cut and embossed with ODBD's NEW  **Ornate Ovals Die**
  6. Black CS cut and embossed with ODBD's NEW **Ornate Ovals Die**
  7. White CS cut and embossed with ODBD's Pierced Ovals Die
  8. Stamped image (light gray ink) with ODBD's NEW **You Bless Me** and then sentiment with black ink
  9. Recollections pearls adhered to all four corners

Here are some of ODBD's classics you see on this project today...

Thanks as always for dropping by!  I always love reading comments and getting your feedback!  I hope you have a wonderful and blessed week!
