A Look Back at Our Daily Bread Designs' April Release

Welcome friends!  I'm so glad you could join us today for a look back at Our Daily Bread Designs'  April release.  As I type this post, rain is covering the Bluegrass state.  I pray that what they say about April showers bringing May flower is true!  Hopefully, they will be nice and pretty just in time for Derby day!  In the meantime, while we wait on those lovely blossoms to make their appearance, we can appease ourselves with lovely paper posies.  Here is the card I created for our look back using the new How Sweet the Sound stamp set along with a couple of new dies, Layered Lacey Squares and Umbrellas.  There are a host of other ODBD products you see here also.  You can find a complete list at the bottom of today's post.  For more inspiration using the April Release be sure to visit the ODBD Blog.  But before you peruse all of the Sister Sticks projects, take a look at this shabby creation...

I started with a 5.25 x 5.25 sage green card stock base and added a slightly smaller white CS (card stock) mat.  I selected a couple of soft and shabby papers from ODBD's Shabby Rose Paper Collection  and added just a hint of distress ink around the edges.  After layering those together, I pulled out my ODBD die, Beautiful Borders, to create the faux lace with white card stock.  I added a beautiful die from the new Layered Lacey Squares Die on the left hand side and layered up a die cut umbrella (Umbrellas Die) with Kraft paper and some Shabby Rose scraps.  I added a few springs of greenery and branches (Fancy Foliage Die) and a lovely blossom created with the Asters and Leaves Die.  A large adhesive backed pearl graces the center along with a fun pearl flourish strategically placed among the foliage.  I stamped the sentiment (How Sweet the Sound) in a soft sage ink on white card stock and used ODBD's Pennant Die to frame it.  A few random pearls on the faux lace finish this gem off!

I just love soft and shabby!
