North Coast Creations January Release

Welcome to the North Coast Creations
January New Releases!

This month we have some LOVELY floral stamps to share!  I just know you will be in the mood to create all of those spring projects just a little bit early!  :-)

And to make this hop even more fun, we will be choosing 2 winners who will receive a $10 gift certificate to the store for stamps just for commenting on our Design Team cards!

You have until January 17, 2014 at 10:00PM EST to leave a comment on each of our designers' blog posts.  Our 2 random winners will be announced on the North Coast Creations Blog on January 18, 2014!  Please be sure to check back there to see if you have won.

I have a couple of cards to share today.  The first showcases the Floral Sentiments 2 set...

I stamped the image on Neenah Solar Crest and colored the image with Copics.  After die cutting, I added a soft brown ink to the edges.  I found out after creating the image that it is actually the flower on a castor bean plant.  I thought it looked similar to pussy willow...  so I added white Flower Soft to each blossom...  I think it turned out nicely!  I stamped the sentiment with Rich Cocoa ink on white card stock and die cut it before placing.  Very feminine and airy...  perfect to add to my card stash for the ladies in my life...

And here's the image of the stamp set itself...

I decided to go a bit more dramatic on my second card.  I used the new set Floral Sentiments 3.

This time I colored the image in deep red tones (R24, R29 & R39) and the stems in rich greens (G24 & G28).  I double matted the image with red and black die cuts and chose a musical DP for my primary background.  I stamped the sentiment (Memento Tuxedo Black) on white CS and hand cut the banner, placing it strategically by the satin bow.  I just love this color combo!  I can't wait to see poppies in my yard this spring!

And here's the stamp set image...

Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing a bit of your day!  Don't forget to stop by all of my fellow "Coasters'" blogs.  I promise  you will see some amazing projects!  Hugs and blessings...

I thought it was a pussy willow branch too. Your second card is stunning. Love the pretty floral image/colors and the musical background.

Such a great contrast between the two cards! They've all been so bright - nice to see a more neutral take. Love the red and black also. They are great stamps.

Two AWESOME cards, Lori. I, too, like the softness of the first one and the vibrancy of the poppies.

What beautiful cards and wonderful blooms. Love the pussy willows. I remember them well as my grandmother had a bush while we were growing up. I haven't seen them any where for years. But remember them fondly. Thanks for sharing.

a stunning card and love the black white and red that works so well, it is such a shame you have not mentioned your Hobby House product as this is a requirement to enter our challenge, so unfortunately your entry has been removed

Both of these are just lovely, Lori! Love the red/black/white w/ the music bg on the poppy card, and the elegant framing and sponging on your first.
