For the Love of Wood Anniversary Hop

Welcome to Our Daily Bread Design's Alumni Team's bi-monthly For the Love Blog Hop. This week's hop is special since Our Daily Bread Designs is celebrating it's fifth year anniversary. One of the gifts for a fifth year anniversary is wood.

This week the Alumni team along with some of the ODBD designers are featuring a hop For the Love of Wood! Check out each link and leave a comment. If you get lost along the way, each stop will have a full list of links. One of the posts is a hop hot spot and a name will be drawn from that list of comments to win a $15 ODBD store gift certificate. So, all you have to do is hop along and see all the creations and leave a little love! You have until Wednesday, March 27th, at 6 pm. Enjoy all the beautiful designs featuring For the Love of Wood!

If you arrived from the fabulous Chris' blog, you are in the right place.  Just in case, you will find a complete list of links at the end of today's post.

Here is my card featuring the Anchor set...

I chose to used a wood print DP and scored the lines between each plank.  The bottom layer was pierced for interest.  The image (stamped with a pale gray ink) serves as a backdrop for this wonderful passage from Hebrews.  A bit of tied rope gives an otherwise neutral card a nautical feel.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Your next stop on this fabulous hop will be Grace's delightful blog.  ((Hugs))

What a fabulous monochromatic/masculine card. That stamp is one of the ones on my wish list at the moment. It always reminds me of a couple of churchyards we visited in Cornwall where a lot of the sailors' graves had anchor motifs or even monuments a bit like the stamp image. That woodgrain paper is just beautiful!
