Exploring Cricut - Red, White & Blue

Welcome to another fun challenge at Exploring Cricut. This week we want to see projects with

Red, White & Blue

After all, our friends in the United States celebrate Independence Day this week! So pull out your favorite cartridge and go to work!

And my project for the week...

Cricut Cuts

Stand and Salute - Statue of Liberty 5 inches & Banner at 1.5 inches

I created my base with a 12 x 6 inch piece of kraft paper, scored and rounded on the corners. My DP (K & Co) was matted with a bit of green card stock. (I was trying to mimic the copper patina our Lady Liberty has...) I inked all sides of Lady Liberty with distress ink for depth. The sentiment (Our Daily Bread Designs' In God We Trust set) was stamped with dark blue ink on the top banner layer before adding with dimensional foam.)

Thanks for looking and be sure to check back Thursday for Our Daily Bread Designs' Alumni Hop and Fridy for another Exploring Cricut post! Thanks so much for spending a few moments with me!

Blessings...

Card Recipe

Cartridge - Stand and Salute
Stamps - Our Daily Bread Designs - In God We Trust
Paper - Bazzill; Paper Studio; K & Company - Americana
Ink - Close to My Heart - Outdoor Denim; Ranger Distress Ink - Frayed Burlap
Misc. - Corner Rounder

There is nothing that I don't like on this card. The papers you used are perfect, and I love the banner. Great job! Thanks for sharing it. :)

I saw your avatar on the Cricut message board and couldn't help but come see what you are all about. Saints do rule (both kinds). Your work is inspiring too, so I've signed up to follow.
