Welcome to Our Daily Bread Designs' May Release and Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to Our Daily Bread Designs' May Release and Blog Hop!  I have a couple of projects to share today featuring stamp sets and coordinating dies perfect for teacher appreciation cards and gifts!  One of the sets has a beautiful cross design and sentiments perfect for creating projects with your favorite Sunday School teacher in mind!  I can't wait to share these fun projects and hope you have as much fun looking at them as I did creating them!  Don't forget to check the end of today's post for details on this month's blog hop!  So here is the first project featuring the Sunday School Teacher stamp set and coordinating Crosses Die.

I started with an ecru card stock base measuring 4.25 by 10 inches, scored and folded at 5 inches.  I cut a slightly smaller gold textured card stock and added an ecru lattice die cut using last month's release, Lattice Background Die.  I stamped the image from the NEW Sunday School Teacher stamp set with a watermark ink and heat embossed the image with gold embossing powder.  I die cut the image using the coordinating Crosses Die.  I added it to an oval die cut base (ODBD's Ovals Die) with dimensional foam and placed it on the card front.  I stamped and embossed the sentiment (also from the Sunday School Teacher set on ecru and used ODBD's Pennant Flags Die and Double Stitched Pennant Flags Die to mat it.  I opted to finish the image off with a bit of greenery and flowers using the Lovely Leaves Die and Bitty Blossoms Dies.

And here are the new items from this month's release you see above...

And here is another project I whipped up featuring the new Seeds of KnowledgeClipboard Set Die AND Notebook Paper Stamp Die Duo!

I started with a Kraft card stock base (4.25 x 11 inches, folded at 5.5) and added a white card stock mat.  I used ODBD's Pierced Rectangles Die and Old Glory Paper Pad to create the designer paper base.  I used a ruler die (from the NEW Clipboard Set Die to create the yellow border.  The Clipboard Set Die also helped me create the clipboard, pencil, scissors and paperclip.  I cut the pencil using white card stock but added a bit of Copic Ink (C7, R22 and R29) to color it up.  A bit of white card stock, blue ink and the NEW Notebook Paper Stamp Die Duo helped with create a perfect miniature piece of notebook paper.  I added a sentiment (in black) from the NEW Seeds of Knowledge stamp set.

So here are the new items featured in this project...

Aren't they fun?

These are great! I'm really loving the clipboard. It's so cute. I love the cross card the best, though. There's so much depth and dimension and putting that greenery and those flowers on it just made it real. Great job! TFS!

The first card is my favorite. I do a lot of cross cards for church, so it is great when I can get new inspiration and ideas for making them. Beautiful card!

I like the second card as well. The plaid reminds me of school uniforms plaid shirts of little boys. :-)

Thank you so much.
