A Look Back at ODBD's May Mid Month Release

Today we are taking a look back at Our Daily Bread Designs' May Mid Month Release.  Here is the card I created using the Mid Month release set, Ride Em' Cowboy.  For more inspiration using the May Mid Month Release be sure to visit the ODBD Blog.

I started out with a patriotic feel on this one...  perfect for Memorial Day...

Layer by Layer...

Navy Card Stock - 5.5 x 8.5 inches, scored and folded at 4.25 inches
Burgundy Card Stock - cut slightly smaller
White Card Stock for image panel cut with ODBD's - Pierced Rectangles Die

***Creative Nugget***  To create my background, I started by adding dots of Versamark (with a Versamark Pen) to the corner of white card stock and heat embossing with Clear Embossing Powder.  After cooling, I swiped Distress Ink (Faded Jeans) across the corner.  Using the direct to paper technique, I applied Frayed Burlap distress stain to my paper all over.  Once it dried, I took the corner of my Aged Mahogony distress Ink pad and gently added stripes.  I then stamped my image with a heavy black ink and applied in the desired corner.  After drying, I added Memento Ink with a pen where need to fill in the image.  After it cured, I added a light coat of Frayed Burlap Distress Ink to the image.  For the final touch...  I used Walnut Stain distress ink to age the edges (after lightly distressing the paper...)

I stamped my sentiment on Antique Linen inked white card stock and die cut using
ODBD's Pierced Rectangles Die.  A bit of tied jute finishes it off....

Here are the items you see today...

Now don't forget to visit my design team sisters to see all of the wonderful
projects they have for you.
Until next time...
Blessings...
