Another Merry Monday!

Welcome!  Today marks my second Merry Monday post.  Thanksgiving is officially over and I suspect many of you are in the process of digging out your Christmas decorations.  We decided to put up a live tree this year as we normally do.  The experience was a bit different this year...  about 3 feet of difference to be exact.  We normally put up an eight foot tree.  This year we decided we need more room for the mass of Christmas ornaments we have collected over the years.  Well, the tree "fainted" twice...  thankfully without ornaments...  SO we had to buy a slightly larger tree stand to accommodate our vertically challenged fir.  SO now I have a lovely tree in my living room with lights...  I am TOO exhausted from the stress of tree catching to put ornaments up.  **I really think I'm still afraid this towering frasier will yell out "timber" and hit the deck...**

Today, I have a fun embossed card to share using a few items from Our Daily Bread Designs' November release...

I started with a burgundy card stock base and cut a slightly smaller DP from ODBD's Christmas Paper Collection 2015.  I used watermark ink to stamp the Snowflake Borders Background image around the edges and added a rich gold embossing powder.  After heating, I distressed the edges and placed it on the base with dimensional foam.  I stamped and embossed the sentiment (The Mighty God) on a bit of burgundy card stock and trimmed it down to the desired size.  I added it with dimensional foam also.  I pulled a bit of gold poster board from my stash and used the new Medium Bows Die to create the faux bow.

Here are the items you see used on today's project...

and an old favorite...

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Don't forget to come back tomorrow, December 1st, for Our Daily Bread Design's December release and blog hop!

Hope to see you then!

ODBD and Merry Monday!

Good morning and welcome to my first Merry Monday post!  My goal...  to create at least 1 Christmas card per week so that in 2016 I will have 52 cards ready to go!  I hope to avoid that last minute, crazed and glazed look that comes with last minute card making!  And with Christmas just a few weeks away, I hope to give you some inspiration as you create your own cards!

I started with a white card stock base and added a slightly smaller Real Red CS mat.  I stamped the image with coordinating ink on another white panel before adhering.  I used the new Medium Bow Dies set to create my bow and added some greenery and twigs using the new Lovely Leaves Die.  I finished it up with a two tone brown pinecone using the new Pinecones Die set.

Here are the items you see...

Thank you for stopping by our my very first Merry Monday!  Hoping you have a wonderful and blessed day!

NCC ~ Santa Buford ~

Good morning!  I hope this note finds you snuggled up with a nice cup of cocoa!  The weather has taken on a decided chill and a few snowflakes even made their first appearance of the year!  I'm excited to sit down with family and friends this week to celebrate Thanksgiving.  I have many things to be thankful for this year.  Sometimes in the hectic schedules we all keep, it is easy to lose sight of them!
And tomorrow marks my very first Merry Monday post!  I will share a Christmas card each and every Monday until the big day.  (And I may just keep this tradition going all year...)  Because just like many of you, I have a number of obligations that keep crafting time to a minimum.  So why not get a jump start and create ONE Christmas card each week?  By this time next, year I will have 52 cards complete!  WOW!!!!
Today I have a fun card to share using North Coast Creations' Santa Buford image along with a sentiment from the Cactus Lights set...

and a few fun items from our sister company, Our Daily Bread Designs

Thanks for stopping by...  until next time...

Blessings...

A Look Back at ODBD's November Release

Today we are taking a look back at Our Daily Bread Designs'  November 1st Release.  For today's look back, I chose to use the new Born This Day stamp set, Lovely Leaves Die and Medium Bow Die.  For more inspiration using the November Release be sure to visit the ODBD Blog.
I started with a white card stock base and added a slightly smaller layer of gold CS and more white.  For my final layer, I pulled out two designer papers from ODBD's Winter Paper Collection and the Christmas Paper Collection 2015.  I used the Leafy Edged Borders Die to add a curved edge to my gold pattern paper before stamping the design with watermark ink on more gold CS.  After embossing with white EP, I trimmed and edged the corners before placing.  A few sprigs of greenery (Lovely Leaves Die) and poinsettia (Peaceful Poinsettias Die and Merry Mosaics Die) adorn the corner with one lone pearl nestled in the center.  I added a fun paper bow in the corner using the new Medium Bow Die.
So here are the new items you see...

and some old favorites...

Please take a few moments to stop by and see what the other design team members have cooked up for you!  Thanks so much for visiting and I hope you have a blessed day!

ODBD ~ Isaiah 9:6 ~ Prince of Peace

Welcome!  Everywhere I look gold seems to be the going trend in home decor, Christmas decorations AND card making!  And being a person who would never buck a trend...  I pulled out some gold poster board, DP from Our Daily Bread Designs and went to work!

I started with an ecru card stock base, gold matting and slightly smaller DP from ODBD's Christmas Card Collection 2015...

I stamped the sentiment (The Mighty God) with gold ink on ecru paper and cute it down to size.  I nestled an ecru doily die cut (Doily Die) under the sentiment panel and added a couple of gold die cuts from the NEW Lovely Leaves Die set.  And that fun ribbon...  created using the new Small Bow Die set.

Here is the new stamp set....

Welcome to North Coast Creation's Latest Release

Welcome to the November Release for North Coast Creations!  We have some super cute stamps to share this month.  The designers each have special projects to share.  So let's dive right in with the first card featuring the new stamp Cactus Lights...

I started with a salmon colored base and added a white mat.  I chose a "non-traditional" pink DP from Christmas Paper Collection 2014.  I stamped, colored and fussy cut my image before nestling it on a die cut oval base (ODBD's Ovals DieStitched Ovals Die.)  I used a Hollyhock colored die to stamp my sentiment and cut it down to the desired size.

So here's the set...

And for my second card I chose the new Christmas Tree Maxwell set.  I just love Moose...  I suppose that is plural???  lol

I started with Kraft card stock for my base and added a bit of mat gold matting.  For this project, I pulled out Our Daily Bread Designs' Christmas Card Collection 2015.  I stamped the image on Copic compatible paper and colored him before sponging in a sky blue ink for the background.  I added a pit of sparkle glue to the star and ornament for fun and once dry adhered the panel (with Kraft mat) on the top of my card.  I highlighted the sentiment panel with a wooden button and bit of baker's twine for a bow.

And here is the set...  Isn't Maxwell super cute!???

How could anyone resist that Moosie face?  OK, is moosie even a word???  lol

Be sure to visit the rest of the design team (AKA the "Coasters") and check out their creations!  Have a wonderful day!

Welcome to Our Daily Bread Designs' November Release

Good morning and welcome to the first day of November!  A new month means a new release at Our Daily Bread Designs.  And a new release means you have the chance to hop along, comment and win!  For more details on this month's hop check the bottom of today's post!

Here's my first card featuring The Mighty GodLovely Leaves DiePinecones Die and Small Bows Die...

I started with a rich burgundy card stock base and layered on a soft gold card stock.  I added two coordinating designer papers from ODBD's Christmas Collection 2015.  I layered the burgundy print over the ornament design by using dies from the Leafy Edged Borders Die to cut and add a gold CS lace layer.  I stamped the sentiment (from the NEW The Mighty God) with burgundy ink on a sheet of coordinating DP and placed it slightly askew over both panels.  I added a greenery spray with branches created using the NEW Lovely Leaves Die.  A bit of white and brown card stock create the pinecone and snowy layer using the NEW Pinecones Die.  A bit of burgundy CS and the NEW Small Bows Die set add an easy to make paper bow.

So here are the new items you see today...

and some old favorites...

Now here is a blue and white creation featuring the new Flourished Merry Christmas, Snowflake Border Background, Lovely Leaves Die, Medium Bows Dies...

I started with a blue card stock base and white matting.  I stamped the border using the NEW Snowflake Border Background  with blue ink and distressed the edges before adhering with dimensional foam.  I used the same ink to stamp the sentiment (the NEW Flourished Merry Christmas) on white card stock and used Vintage Labels Die to frame the sentiment panel and as a template to cut blue mulberry paper to tuck underneath.  The NEW Lovely Leaves Die lends itself well for creating white foliage and Kraft twigs.  The NEW Medium Bows Die creates a fun paper bow to adorn the corner.  And just for fun...  a couple of glittered jingle bells...

SO here are the new items you see...
