WAW97 ~ Colossians 4:6 ~ Seasoned With Salt

Welcome!  It's time for some beautiful scripture and a creative challenge at Word Art Wednesday .  Check out the WAW site for all the details including this week's digital scripture image, how to link your creation AND info on our fabulous prizes!

A special thank you to both Nice Crane Designs and Digi Darla's
 for sponsoring this week's challenge!

This week we feature Colossians 4:6...

This week I decided to incorporate a technique challenge.  For this one I used facial tissue.  I used three shades of green ink, scrunching up a facial tissue, dipping in each ink from light to dark and lightly sponging on white card stock.  Make sure you use a separate tissue for each color.  That way your ink colors stay true and give the paper a nice mottled effect.  I layered the card with white and 2 shades of coordinating green card stock.  I printed this week's scripture on white paper and layered it with the darker green paper.  A few graduated green pearls adorn the top left hand corner.  I just love the look!

Thank you for stopping by!

I would be remiss if I did not take a moment to remember those who died on September 11, 2001 and September 11, 2012.  May we always remember!

God Bless America!

Do you mean you use the tissue as the dipping agent? The green background is lovely as is the whole presentation.

Lori, this is a simply beautiful card. That technique makes a fabulous background. Reminds me of the very large church foyer I rag-painted years ago. I card would be much more to my liking now!!! Will have to try it. It's wonderful to be crafting beside you at WAW!
