Good evening! I hope this post finds you enjoying this wonderful Sabbath day! I'm resting after a fun filled Saturday night with friends, family and food! The grand kids even got a bit of camping and fishing in while visiting. We had a blast!
I have a card to share today using Our Daily Bread Designs' stamp set, Precious Girl . But first I would like to share a story that touched my heart.
Many years ago this dear lady was dating a fine young man. She was a teenager while he was attending a Bible college out of state to become a minister. They were deeply in love and committed to the Lord. Before returning to school, he preached a sermon based on this passage from Romans....
"Therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God; this is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God."
Romans 12:1-2 HCS
He and a friend started back that evening to school. After driving several hours and just an hour or so from campus, he was involved in a terrible car crash. This young and promising Christian was called home to meet his Lord and Savior.
As the family came together to grieve they were informed that among the young man's personal items found at the crash was his bible, found open to this very passage. In the violent collision, the Bible not only came to rest open to this exact passage but was covered by some of the young man's blood. A disconcerting image perhaps... As Christians are we willing to give our all including our very life to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ? Are we presenting ourselves as a living sacrifice, modeling His very life and legacy? We may not have to shed blood as our Savior did but we may be asked to give something up... Will you answer the call?
Father in Heaven Hear My Prayer....
Thank you and God Bless...

Thank you for sharing.
Something similar happened with a friend of mine. She also passed after a car crash and they found her Bible with her belongings. She had highlighted passages that were of great comfort to all of us. It was as if she knew time was close and that we would need these words. She was also listening to Amy Grant's In a Little While.
