This set is particularly poignant for me this year as one of my co-workers was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. She will be undergoing surgery this week.
It amazes me how much we have learned about breast cancer over the years. My aunt was diagnosed with breast cancer in her late thirties. At that time (the 1950's) she was given one option - total mastectomy, radiation and chemotherapy. If you doubt how much progress has been made listen to this... chemo and radiation were HIGHLY experimental at that time. My aunt lost not only her breast but complete and total use of one arm. The radiation was so destructive that the nerves in her shoulder, arm and hand on that side were obliterated. Until the day she left to be with our Lord her arm hung limply at her side... another reminder of the battle she waged...
So let's say we have come a LONG way yet the race goes on... But most importantly ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE WITH GOD.....

Your card is just beautiful. I love the soft feminine colors...the pink and white and splash of black music notes is lovely. I just love all of the layering, an the ribbon on the bottom of the card. The flowers are just amazing! You make layering look so easy. I just love this set...especially that Scripture. "All things are possible with God!" That includes a cure for cancer!

Thanks for your beautiful combination of colors, shapes, and textures. Part of the progress is not only medical (though I praise God for that)--now women don't feel they are going through this alone as much as they used to.

Gorgeous card Lori! I love every element of it :) Your story about your aunt and your coworker really touch my heart. We recently lost a friend to breast cancer at the age of 45; she was first diagnosed in her 20s, had a mastectomy and therapy, and then it returned stage 4 last year and she lost her battle. So this hop is very touching to me. Thanks for sharing.
